  2. I would make PVP Bank Missions that is not limited to the bank itself but a whole zone. If heroes die and go to the hospital, villains can be there destroying the place; if villains go to jail, heroes can be there to try to stop them from escaping. A lot of different types of side missions villains can cause and heroes would need to prioritize, split and try to save the day.
  3. Boost Range alone makes AR a great primary. You can hit a group with Full Auto 130+ feet away. As they run at you (As most enemy range is too short to counterattack), hit them with M30 Grenades/Slugs and if they're not dead by then, finish them off with Buckshots/Flamethrower.

Here is a secondary build I am thinking about making with Mace Mastery chosen as my epic. The idea is to immobilize a group with Web Envelope and shred them to bits where they stand. The build cost will be around 2.5 billion.

I am going to play around with the build some more before I create it to try to get some more endurance.

  4. Few recommendations below:

-Single slot One with Shield w/ Steadfast +3def
    -Triple slot Tough w/ Aegis
-Six slot Stamina w/ Performance Shifter (adds 3.13% AoE def).
-Swap Kismet +6% acc in Combat Jump w/ LotG +7.5% rech in Phalanx Fighting. (Perma +6% acc and slightly higher def)
-Remove the -KB IO in SS and slot a Stealth IO
-Use a full set of Obliteration in Shield Charge
-Remove LotG def IO in Deflection

At the end of that, you will have 3 slots to play to improve on hit points, damage resist etc. Some people like to 2 or 3 slot Active Defense for the debuff resistance.

  5. Do it! I would advise against it if it creates endurance and/or recharge issues. Keep in mind you are losing 3.75% melee/1.88% s/l def (6 slotted Obliteration bonus)

I slotted 4 procs into Quills (Impeded Swiftness, Scirocco's, Eradication and Obliteration) along with 2 HamiO's (+acc/dam) and it works out well in crowd situations like in an ITF, LGTF etc.
  6. I heard Ninja Run is being fixed for the trials next week, I believe it was posted by Zombie Man.

Here is what I have come up with, I changed as little as possible to achieve your goal.

If you decide to stick with your MA/SR, work on the end reduction of each power as a temporary solution. The cast times for MA's attacks are quick and each cost a fair bit of end to use (All above 10 points except Storm Kick/Thunder Kick). If you can obtain a Performance Shifter proc, Miracle +rec and a Numina's +reg/rec (at level 27) would help a lot.

If you ice that toon, I recommend MA/SD but I foresee end problems as well even if the SD toggles require less end to run.

I may switch muscularate for spiritual but like i said i am not convinced it will make a huge advantage out of it unless build-up recharges faster. Survival is good and all but i don't like losing dps for it especially if i can manage it this way eventhough i am using inspirations alot.
The Gaussian proc, in a toggle, will roll for it's chance for build up once per 10 seconds. It has a 5% chance and will activate an average of once per 3min 20secs. It lasts for only 5 seconds and can likely occur when you don't need it ie moving between groups, running from turret lasers, during your bio etc.

If you drop Tactics, pick up Laser Beam Eyes, 5 Apocalypse slotted, you will improve on 2 of your goals (increased hp/regen and overall damage).
  9. I think your build looks good. There are things you can do to fine tune some areas but usually what you gain in one; you lose in another. If you're willing to give up Tactics or SS (If you don't mind Ninja Run as your travel power), take Laser Beam Eyes and slot it with Apocalypse. You would use it more than Boxing. Hopefully NR in trials will be fixed soon.

If I make a Katana/SR scrapper, this is what I will roll with but it costs an arm and a leg:

  10. Traded for Glad Armor Proc - Lvl 50. Everything went very well. Thanks!
  11. I had Elude on my DB/SR scrapper and found I rarely ever used it and when I did, it didn't really save me in bad situations (I would either still die or inspiration/teammates save my butt). I also hated the crash.

Elude might be useful for PVP but someone else would confirm that. As for PVE, if you have a power to spare, I would take it just to hold a Kismet +acc or a LoTG +7.5 rech.
  12. It looks like you have a lot of endurance between Quick Recovery, Stamina and Physical Perfection. You can skip Conserve Power as you would probably never use it. Maybe replace it with something from the Leadership power pool, Combat Jump or Revive.

I would place Melee Damage IOs in Crippling Axe Kick, Crane Kick and Cobra Strike... Then again, Knockback IOs in Crane Kick is pretty fun.
  13. I have a DB/SR scrapper and was the last one standing on a Rikti Mothership raid after a wipe. Some people went to the hospital, some people rage quit and others lay there in the center of the bowl chatting about what went wrong. I was surrounded by Rikti but wouldn't retreat cuz I really wanted to kill this one Magus.

My chat window starting filling up with broadcasts like, "You can do it!"

    "Avenge us!"

"Join us on the ground, it's comfy down here!"

I whittled the Magus down to a hair of life then killed it with the 1000 Cuts, followed it with the Sweeping combo knocking surrounding Rikti on their backs and ended it with the Showoff emote just in time for the cavalry to make it back and see.

After it was over, I received a few tells saying how great I was on the ship. I replied back to one of the dead who wouldn't hosp it, "You did great too! I saw a few rikti tripping over your dead body."

    MA/SD Build

Here's a revised build but it's not far off from the other one I recommended. Slightly better HP and regen but worsened endurance; better damage but slower recharge.

Left the KB protection IOs but Active Defense provides 10 pts already, so you currently have 18 pts of KB protection. That would take like 4 Nemesis staffs hitting you simultaneously to knock you over.

Maybe make a 2nd build, one for raids and one for PvE:

    MA/SD Build

Phalanx fighting adds 3.75% def for up to 3 teammates who are within an 8' radius (With you counting as one teammate), so a maximum of 11.25% def. You can slot it with 6 def IO's or leave it empty and the numbers will still be the same.

It's a great power to have as it's auto and helps you a lot when you and your team are dog piling an AV.

I will check your build out again with the Spiritual Alpha a little later. Is it the Core (45%) or Radial (33%)?
  16. ricohdah

    MA/SD Build

Phalanx Fighting is not enhanceable so it should only have a single LoTG +7.5% recharge or Kismet +6% acc slotted in it. I replaced Fly with Maneuvers to reach the soft cap of 45%. Swallow one small purple and you'll be a couple ticks off of the new trial soft cap of 59%.

You didn't indicate if you have an Alpha Incarnate power as it will affect a lot of the slotting. I recommend Cardiac Core to save on endurance/recovery and a bit more damage resist. You may be able to drop Physical Perfection and take Fly again if you do.

    I hope this helps:

I wonder if you can Crane Kick enemies off a ledge, quickly TP Foe them back in front of you and Crane Kick them off again. That's going to be my new go to combo. Kiyaaaaah!
  18. Here's a build I threw together. The beauty of SR is being able to soft cap with little to no effort. A lot of toggles with the added Leadership pool and I would have Sprint and Ninja Run on during fights.

If influence is no object, breakdown Health and Physical Perfection and 3 slot Focused Fighting, Focused Sense, Evasion and place 3 Shield Wall pvp enhancements in each (def/end, def/end/rec and def) just for the added hitpoints. Also move the LoTG +7.5% rech to Agile, Dodge and Lucky.

If you want healing, replace EC and Tactics for the Medicine power pool and move the set of Gaussian's to Focus Chi.

This toon actually looks kind of fun, I should roll one out myself. I'll name him Breeze Lu (Ala Finishing the Game).

    most fun wth DA?

DA is a great secondary, not only do you have a heal, damage resist and defense to survive but also PBAoE disorient and fear toggles. Couple DA with Spines and you have a minitature wrecking ball that can tear through crowds. Nobody seems to like the idea of loading up on "Chance for Damage" procs on Quills, Dark Shroud and Cloak of Fear because the chances only occur once per 10 seconds. But it does bring me joy reading the Damage Inflicted window when there is a flurry of bonuses like this (I added the smiley faces):

    Cloak of Fear missed!
You blast Legionarii for 118.86 points of bonus fire damage!
Death Shroud deals 28.25 points of negative energy damage to Legionarii.
Legionarii bleeds for 79.63 points of bonus lethal damage!
You crush Legionarii for 79.63 points of bonus smashing damage!
Quills deals 20.69 points of lethal damage to Legionarii.
Death Shroud deals 28.25 points of negative energy damage to Centurion.
Quills deals 20.69 points of lethal damage to Centurion.
You blast Praefectus Castrorum for 79.63 points of bonus energy damage!
Death Shroud deals 28.25 points of negative energy damage to Praefectus Castrorum.
You blast Praefectus Castrorum for 79.63 points of bonus energy damage!

Quills deals 20.69 points of lethal damage to Legionarii.
You land a critical hit with your Quills for an extra 20.69 points of lethal damage!
    Quills missed!

I currently have 8 Chance for Damage procs (but may increase to 10 on my next respec) running at the same time between the 3 toggles (With HamiO's acc/dam or acc/mez filling the remaining slots). End/recovery was a big problem but usiing Miracle +rec, Numina +reg/rec, Cardiac Core Alpha, Physical Perfection and miscellaneous set bonuses makes this toon run smoothly. It's also nice to know you're dishing out some pain even when you're taking a couple of seconds to heal yourself.
  20. I threw this mindless build together. Run in, fight and hope you survive. No powers to save yourself if the going gets tough, just your super reflexes and an above average regen. The damage output looks pretty decent.

Sting of the Wasp does more damage than Gambler's Cut so I swapped them. Not sure about Lotus Drop as my experience is on a Ninja Blade/SR Stalker. Divine Avalanche can be broken down, replaced with Combat Jump (with 1 LotG +7.5) and the extra slots going to Agile, Dodge and Lucky for extra regen. Add a Steadfast +3def if you like a little more defense in case of debuff.

This build is purpleless because I'm poor and influence I make is emailed to improve my other toons.

That's alot of slots for your defense powers. I would try to shave them down and slot up Focused Burst, Concentrated Strike and Focused Accuracy. I threw this one together you might like:

    http://www.cohplanner.com/mids/downl...90F619D5FAD88A
  22. Those are all great tips and anyone who may consider running that build should follow them. But like I said before, that's not my actual build. I just tossed it together to show a DB/Regen scrapper can have around 30% defense in Melee, Ranged and AoE.

But I am considering to respec Hasten out of my build. The only time I notice the difference is when I check to see if Instant Heal is recharged and that may be only once per mission or less. I do have Dull Pain perma without Hasten already on my build.

The Regenerative Tissue in Revive was a blond moment.
  23. Sorry, I didn't know how to create the datalink until now. I made a couple slight changes to boost AoE defense and regen a little more:

    http://www.cohplanner.com/mids/downl...D7F83FFC4BDA8E

    Stealthed:

    Melee: 33.4%
    Ranged: 32.1%
    AoE: 33.7%

    Stealth suppressed:

    Melee: 30.7%
    Ranged: 29.5%
    AoE: 31%

There's a couple of ways to bump Ranged defense up to above 30% but it would mean losing some of the recharge bonus.

My DB/Regen scrapper has Hasten but lately I have been running without activating it to see how bad I actually need it. My play style hasn't changed and feels pretty much the same.

Having a higher defense and regeneration, using the knockdown (Vengeful Slice, One Thousand Cuts) and sweep combo means that I use healing powers a little less than most DB/Regen players and makes up for the lack of recharge. It really helps with my style of gameplay.

Taking the Nerve Core Alpha instead of the Spiritual would boost defense powers by 20%, maybe Combat Jump or Stealth can be swapped for Hasten with 30% def in Melee, Ranged and AoE maintained. But healing, regen and hitpoints (Dull Pain) would suffer on this build without. I haven't played around with that concept yet.
  24. This isn't my actual build but altered to obtain around 30% Melee, Ranged and AoE defense.

Blinding Feint - One Thousand Cuts - Power Slice - Typhoon's Edge

Recharge is fast enough so that only one set of combos can be consistently used without hesitation

    Hope this helps.
