will check to see if we have distressingly small racial selection, loot based character customization options, no viable martial artist path and a specific, limited sci-fi setting. I suspect the energy sword thing sailed with talsorian katanas though.

  3. yep, try to keep an optimal amount of enemies in reange for the dragons tail sweep and get on the hard targets with eagle's claw and cobra strike. and now with vorpal being a cone, i have to move back from the good position for the sweep to maximize the cone, then back in(possibly with spring attack) to get back into position.

another guy i move a lot with is my ice/ice tank, space robot 5, i try to get as many guys around me and debuffed as possible with my damage/debuff auras before we settle into the ice slick /freezing aura stomp down.

you know, i was going to go for the shadow shard, which i suppose is cheating anyhow, but yeah, eden could have a lot more going on. maybe crey's folley too. not much there.

I design by slot with costumes. I usually select the fancier costume pieces for the character's later look for slots 3-5(with 6-9 for special conecpt looks, but since you cannot start with all the slots you need so i just delay the use of them till they are available.

in the three superhero mmos currently on the market, this is not true. not here, not in the competition online you have to unlock a lot of parts by 5k defeat badges, and sure as heeeck not in our distinct competition, where i cant even get a @#$%ing tail unless i have a specific skin(and not getting a tail gets me very frustrated). furthermore, in both western and eastern comics, there are numerous examples of heroes starting with more basic costumes and altering their costume to be more flashy as they grow stronger.

note that i'm not really advocating one way or the other, just addressing points that jump out at me. I just want my damn cheongsam and kimono.
  6. full on quit, dunno, been here a long time, its kinda inertia right now, and witht he 14 month things, I have a lot of time banked. I also have a broad enough set of characters that any change would be avoidable, if annoying. So it would have to be something huge, little stuff i just adapt to. If posi went on a massive anti-something i care about rant, directly saying people like me are not welcome, maybe that. even that is dodgy since ww is the power now, and i know she wouldn't

maybe remove the costume creator entirely and make ats wear the same outfits, but you can still customize the color, that would do it.
  7. rian is an ma/sr, he does pretty well with ios destinies and such. If someone has a to hit buff power i cry like a little kid, and high s/l resists are annoying at times, but i tell ya what, If this game didnt have MA in it, i wouldn't have come here. I love games with martial artists and its one reason i never played the gorilla, no monk till apparently their most recent expansion. Also ma has been doing far better than launch when axe kick took a week to animate and did less damage, and cobra strike did next to no damage at all. kinda started near the bottom and got promoted a bit.

my main vill, violet tendencies is a plant/thorn dom, and i wuv the amount of aoe she does. seeds of confusion are huge fun.

I just go with his definition since he's the op. It didnt fit my definition either, but I tend to have very specific definitions of things relative to others (you should hear my rant on the use of the term "god-like" sometimes, i think i melt plastic within 15 feet ) so i was going by his terminology..as i read it, if im wrong, i hope he comes back to correct.

and actually, the dev earth, i dunno. when i think of monsters, outside oif the greek kind which were specific punishments from the divines that had a specific goal, target and behavior, I tend to see monsters as really strong beasts, they want to eat, establish territory, and establish shelter. but stay out of their territory, dont show up on their food chain and they wont really seek out confrontation. The dev earth seem to be controlled by hamidon, who seems to still have the mind of a sentient, if redical, human with the specific goal of destroying or assimilating humnaity. so i cant exaclty say i see them just as monsters, they seem to be a directed group of attackers with a goal of destroying all humans and "restoring" the earth. and in praetoria they are directly doing exactly that, they even negotiate truces with specific behavioral terms.

And again, I've been on a Hamidon Raid that consisted of around 200 people and crashed Victory twice. I've been on a Hamidon Raid that consisted of over 100 people and actually succeeded, horrible gameplay experience notwithstanding. The game seems to be perfectly capable of presenting large group content without having another dimension invade us.
    .
Interestingly, brad lumped mot in with the "wars" content, i'd imagine the devouring earth would fall under that idea too, since hamidon created another species and launched a large scale offensive of extinction or assimilation against humanity. And recluse is in at least a cold war with the US itsself. with both sides sending fairly large scale incursions on each others borders. so under the definition that makes mot a "war" likely any large scale powerful group making a play for a major game changing event is going to feel like a "war" event. at a certain point, fighting doc ock and his costumed mooks falls by the wayside of the power curve.

and nem is pretty much canon out as having showed up significantly in issue 12, and it seesm he is going to be heavily involved in batallion and possibly future rularru content.
  13. ok, a thing that has always bugged me about the beginning of rc: star wars 3, when they do the bit with the emperor doing a life montage to "baba o'riley" . Is that a movie reference? It feels liek one, but im missing it.
  14. ya know, i was going to try and fit this pun in eventually, but sam commits to it impressively for the win.

additional theoretical green dots for typhus weapons, would not have thought of that one.

I hate to be a broken record, but have you ran tip missions lately? I want more, no doubt, but they are standard superheroic capers. so were the holiday missions, a classic mad scientist and a magic ritual gone wrong with not many repercussions outside of lord recluse quitting eharmony.
I'm not saying id disagree with more unrelated stuff, and I'd love more tips, but I do think part of it is mmo structure, and part of it is coh is going through fairly standard comic story lines, but since issues have a far longer bake time than comic books, it seems to be slower, and it is, because it has to be. plus, with incarnate level stuff, justifications for fighting "regular" super villains runs into the perception that we are fighting stuff beneath us. In a way it is power creep, and unfortunately, in any long running thing based on increasingly powerful characters, it happens. I can't exactly say if its good or bad, because its kind of both merely that its what i see, a lot, and its a limitation to storytelling as much as its a benefit. and once it starts its difficult to rein in.

honestly, i like the costume, but i like busy costumes. plain spandex Is a visual aesthetic that just strikes me as dated and old fashioned. her costume is interesting.

the macross missiles would be very welcome. the effect is in game, with the malta and assault bot, we just need it as an option for players. ideal for me would be as an alt animation for munitions mastery lrm missle. I could work with it as a judge too...in fact maybe id prefer it be a judge since that is across all ats.

I know very nice cats, i know some cats that will claw you no matter your demeanor or approach. personal experience flavors opinion, but all personal opinion is limited and drawing any larger like or dislike based on such a small sample size is silly. some people dislike dogs, it is a complete mystery to me. I am more inclined to trust someone who doesn't like people than someone who doesn't like dogs.

It could happen, would be nice if it were like the tw one and was free for early adopters, but I'm just pointing out that there are key differences between the tw situation and the staff one.
  24. limited time. as with chase, i just finished da this weekend, and still haven't finished first ward. some people burn through content, but some of us are still catching up to issues ago.
