I agree that 'niceness' really is prevalent and not at all helpful in book reviews. I find on sites such as Amazon, I will skim the three star reviews and pay most attention the two star reviews as these are most likely to contain content that actually lets me know what my experience of the book is likely to be.

I'd welcome a storyline that didn't include alien or supernatural big bads - move the Family into Skyway (there's already deserted neighbourhoods and drugs) and let us battle organised crime

Penny must have been having an off day when I chose her as she managed to wipe herself out chasing random groups halfway across the map long before we got to Clamor. BaB however tanked faithfully for my squishy and the final fight was a breeze

Good advice above to bring a few Black Knights with you. Rushed in solo with my stalker and was quickly taunted to death with what could have been 4 Malaises, there were certainly far too many! Came back with a couple of knights and rolled over him.

If the mission goes as usual there is a policeman bailed up somewhere (usually not far from the start) that you need to rescue to trigger the rest of the plot.

no, but I have thought that i'd deleted a new character because I was looking on the wrong server when I logged back on.
And yay - finally the forums have remembered me and let me sign on -
Well I can get as far as trying to log into a server and finding I have the wrong version of the game client - again... sigh
patching just ain't what it was -
Good to know that others are having this problem. Had this happen to one of the ally shields on my sonic defender recently after zoning into a mission. After it recharged it was fine for the rest of the mission.

If you check the time of the last update it was about a week ago - when the servers probably were up, it's the status page that's broken again
-
And the server status page isn't updating again...

I don't necessarily want solo content - I'd like team content that can be soloed. I don't like easy - the one mission I refuse to do again is that 'be invincible and mindlessly slaughter the incoming hordes' as it bores me to tears. I prefer small teams, where I can see what's going on, have to think on my feet, not just follow orders and use my full powersets - generally do more than just press F1, F2, F3, rinse and repeat.
Especially as it's already getting harder to get enough people together for a league in the off peak times I play -
Four hour downtimes used to be infrequent for this game, as were patch updates.
We understand that it's a quiet time for US and EU, we know that it needs to be done but when downtime starts at 9pm and doesn't finish till after midnight twice a week, it gets to be a real drag -
It's not the bouncing off the walls that drives me crazy - it's the getting stuck on those wretched torches...

This would help a lot - don't mind the debt but the trip to and from the hospital gets very tedious. -
I think one of the problems is the sheer mechanics of creating a villainous mastermind arc, given the nature of the mission structure. Heroes in comics - as exemplified by Superman etc tend to react to the plots of the villains, giving plotlines that are a good fit for a mission arc where the villain does x so the hero has to respond. But writing that from the villain point of view - the person who is supposed to be thinking up the ideas - is a whole lot harder.
I still think CoV is better than CoH in gameplay and mission structure, But few of my villains feel really evil - more often self centred or non-conformist. -
Love the power - not so keen on the animation, but as I usually run with close effects suppressed I can live with that.

I should be able count myself lucky in this case that I have an NA account, but I really think that it would have been fairer to add a prefix to both globals where there was a clash and give both a rename token. I personally would not mind having NA added to my global - it's just the name of my first, now long neglected character, but I know that others are far more attached to their choice for various reasons. It would allow people who have the same global on both sets of servers to make their decision on which to rebadge and there are obviously a number of those people around.

I was, which is why I tend to think that the post 50 game will lead to homogeneity - in the same way that trollers get attacks and blasters get controls as PPPs, then add set bonuses to even out defenses etc, then all the Incarnate slots just add the mix. Just look at how many 'uber' builds contain remarkably few original powerset choices.

Given the howls of protest that will arise over any restrictions on the market I'd prefer to see it just made easier to transfer salvage between my alts - the dreaded common account based storage vault (i'd even be happy with it being restricted to the server as well).
Yes I know I can mail salvage to myself, piece by piece, but that is decidedly tedious and requires a lot of alt swapping to find which character has what I want -
Yup - those of us on the other side of the world are pretty resigned to being the bunnies who lose out on prime time playing. At least in summer it's 11pm, not 9pm as it is in winter, so it's just an enforced early night.

I find the villain one easier for low level chars - go to SG base, tp to Nerva, hand in salvage, tp back to base
Must be one of the few remaining advantages of bases
