The expression is "shore up"

Any/Storm with high levels of ranged defense (and, optimally, an immobilize except in the case of ill/storm).
-
Is that the indicator of a good character these days? Whether you can survive gimped lvl 54 bosses in some random AE mission? Sad state of the game.
The OP never mentioned boss farms btw. Hell, he never mentioned AE either. FA (preferably w/ some defense bonuses) is a great set for normal non AE-centric farming. Personally, I would team it up with SS rather than electric - but that's mainly because I hate having crap ST damage on any character. -
I don't normally cross-post like this, but since it involves two separate servers, I thought it would be applicable.
Hello! Just what the title says
I am looking to trade a portion of my infamy on Virtue for influence on Justice heroes. I haven't played blueside in a while and I hate the thought of accruing enough influence to pay the market's current (crazy) prices.
What's the influence:infamy ratio these days anyway? 1.2:1 ?
Please get in touch with me here or in-game if you can help! I'm seeking a reasonably large transfer. Global is @kinaki -

Kadabra Kill in midnight arc (or any enemy with a singularity pet)
Longbow spines warden (so much fun that you don't care about all the experience you're about to lose... just don't let your team know why you're laughing maniacally.)
Any cimeroran boss/lieut so they buff you with their shout(s) -
If you want more AoE dmg, go Mu mastery - ball lightning is on a 16s recharge. If you want some AoE damage but good ST damage as well, go Widow. Gloom is superb dps but dark obliteration is on a 32s recharge.

Some will argue that tornado and lightning storm merit mention, but while I love the powers, they're really small as AoE, and effectively behave much like any other pets-- as single target damage.

I really have to take exception to this statement. While tornado will likely not hit an entire spawn, hurricane can effectively bunch up your targets so that it's far more than single target damage. -

i recommend not taking OwtS

If you do take it, it serves as a nice IO mule for the Steadfast Unique so you don't have to waste a slot on it elsewhere. -
Taunt is handy with WM because you have no other means to get the attention of ranged foes unless you dip into patron pools. And dipping into patron pools leads to redraw.
Give and take.
I never took Whirling mace and opted instead on grabbing Jawbreaker. Many people do just the opposite and nothing is wrong with that - you simply need a lot of recharge to still manage an ST attack chain with only pulverize, clobber, and shatter. Speaking of shatter, it's another very nice AoE and I frequently hit five with it. The downside is that 5 is its target limit. -
Following up on Scin's suggestion for the GW Patron, if you went with Dark Obliteration and DN, you would have the slots to spare for adding 2 more membranes to Active Defense, and either adding a third recharge to Hasten or sticking another Heal IO in Health.
Edit: Ahah... forgot Dark Obliteration was second tierStill, it's a shame that you can't get those other 2 membranes worked in - perhaps eliminate the Mako IO from haymaker?
Pretty good build though; once i16 hits and purple prices come back down to Earth, a set of Armageddon in FS would be ideal. Other than that however, nothing really needs them. -
Rage crash + Dark Regen + DA toggles + hasten crash = pain
-
Hypocritical as it may sound, I both flip purples (not gouging) and hate their inflation. I doubt it's all that uncommon.
In fact, I'm so disgusted with the price of purples that I've basically grown apathetic to them insofar as builds are concerned. -
DA is nice on scrappers but I just don't like it on brutes.
1) a stealth power that doesnt supress in combat, thereby making you attack one set of enemies and the ones 15ft away completely ignoring you. Frustrating on teams. Also bad for fury
2) Oppressive Gloom & CoF. Bad for fury.
3) End use... unless you enjoy micromanaging your end use in every fight, you'll need to pick a primary that doesn't use much end as well as still IO for +recovery.
I enjoyed my Spines/DA scrapper but brute DA really plays a lot differently IMO. Claws/DA will have potential because of claws' low end-use.
SS/fire is generally considered easy-mode for AoE dmg; /fire gets consume to deal with any ill-timed rage crashes as well. Elec Melee is ok... but, at the risk of being flame-bait, it's a one trick pony with its Lightning rod... and ST damage stinks. -
So I've been contemplating on making my first WS and, with today's i16 update, I made a connection with what I had read regarding their gameplay.
More mobs = more playthings for WS, ya? So the i16 difficulty slider should be a great boon for them?
..or have I misunderstood the comments regarding group play - do the buffs from one's group members play just as big a role? -
Here lies literacy, felled by the heinous internetz. R.I.P.

Does not stack from same caster. It'd be pretty overpowered if it did. Nevertheless, if you ever roll a /storm MM, you can stack it with Thunderclap for mag 4, which does in fact stun bosses.
...of course, if you were to go /storm, nothing hits you anyway, so stuns are sort of superfluous. -
And by that, he means not splattered at the feet of a couple Cimeroran bosses.
-
Just a horrible horrible build. Going through it is just an endless assault of groans.
To reiterate what others have said, if you want to bore yourself with "pure support", rely on buffs and debuffs - not on relegating yourself to a healbot. -
...But with high recharge and 3 membranes you can approach SR levels of debuff resistance...

There's a lot of people who compare their characters by which av's they can solo and things like that. Why not compare what your team is capable of
[/ QUOTE ]
Because soloing AVs is tedious and boring, and only done for novelty (and bragging). Teaming is to have fun with like-minded individuals. If you're wiping repeatedly because of <insert obnoxious AE debuffs here>, you aren't having fun any longer.
I wish people would wake up and realize not everyone wants to play a game to be beat in the head with a pipe wrench. -
You don't have stamina yet? On a storm? Erm, definitely get that if you want to fully utilize the set. Do you use hurricane, tornado, LS, or steamy mist?
