AE???? What is AE? I must have missed something in the patch notes (it wouldn't be the first time). I noticed AP is flooded with requests for AE farms, but as a soloist, I haven't really paid much attention to them. Wonder what *that's* all about....hmmmm.

I agree with Purple with a purpose. I dumped Hecatomb out of one of my attacks because a non-Purple set gave set bonuses that actually gelled well with my build (and Hecatomb didn't).
Now my Bane...that silly little fool will eventually be slotting 6 or so Purple sets. Sigh lol.

Mainly the fact that if he spent 4 billion on IOs, and didnt farm, unless he's somehow both a market guru but yet hates IOs for being expensive..how else would he get 4 billion?

Hypocritical as it may sound, I both flip purples (not gouging) and hate their inflation. I doubt it's all that uncommon.
In fact, I'm so disgusted with the price of purples that I've basically grown apathetic to them insofar as builds are concerned.

I have a great idea: let's let farmers pad their own missions with little or no effort! If they can do this, they won't have any real incentive to pick up lowbies just to pad their farms. Even better, it just might encourage them to go back to the OLD farm missions that actually drop salvage and recipes, increasing supply overall and bringing prices down!
Hmm. I don't think that will ever fly. Purples are supposed to be ultra-rare and only a very few people should have them. The devs will never do something that would increase supply of them...

Meh. Learn to Merit Awards. The ways to get those 'must have' recipes that you don't actually need to have exist, even if the majority of vocal players ignore them for the easy route.

Ok, wait... u think just bc i decided to purple out a build, and since i decided to get the io's that are actually good, that that makes me a person stupid enough to buy off of a scam site that will never give me influence and still my identity???

Purples? No, I only buy purples when I intend to slot them, which isn't that often. I do buy expensive recipes to craft and sell for some very nice profits, but due to the rarity of purples, I leave them to others with a greater degree of ebilness in them.
I've become disenchanted with the whole AE system, particularly the fact that there's one in AP. But that just means I start my toons in Galaxy instead. I can't beat AE, I won't get back on the AE wagon, I just ignore it altogether.

With the advent of AE, Drops--well--dropped significantly while players figured out the ticket system. The one thing we can't get from AE are purple drops. Less supply, but just as much demand. The cost of purples(already crazy) skyrocketed.

As for Stimulus, there was one. Not in inf, but recipes appears on the market the day of the 5 year anniversary. A number of Pool B and C recipes appeared for low price (for those that didn't assume expensive and bid as such).

I don't have a single character with all three of the "must have" [sic] IO's, and I don't have a single character with ANY purples slotted. The biggest investment I ever made was to put together an AV-soloing stalker and it probably cost me under 500 million.
... what I'm trying to say here, I guess, is that I'm not sure you needed to build the character you did build. What were you trying to accomplish and how?
Some people have assumed that you wanted the shiny because it was so very shiny. If that's true, you don't have a lot of legs to stand on when you complain about price. But I don't know if that's true.

only reason to cry would be if the build was a bust and purples made the toon a limpless tard. You seem to know how to use the market, just make more its still out there. Big case of I want everything handed to me.
I have a couple of toons with 0 purples and feel they are where I want them.

Add supply and you will get deflation...
Stop witch hunting farmers... most sell what they get so that add to supply and bring down prices.
Increase doing missions with rewards 47-52 regular in-game content.
Do TF's and SF's as you are leveling and after... merits are your friend.
