Thank You! The five minute wait was crazy. The iXP and pet fixes are icing on the cake.
  2. If I'm around, I'll give you a hand. I would be bringing my pet heavy Bane, so I'd like to be on the Adds team.

  5. So, I have been trying to figure out why it is that I have had such craptactular performance since I 20 came out. I have constant pigg crashes, freezes, crash to desktop, and low frame rates at varying times. I have done all sorts of maintenance on my PC. I have added more RAM, and recently changed out video cards. There is something chewing up RAM in this game. If I start the client, and do nothing with task manager open, I see the ram usage climbing steadily, but I'm used to that. What I just experienced may be the root cause of my crashes. Power Customization. I took my Tank to the tailor in RWZ to match up my rebirth power colors to match the rest of my powers. As soon as I change any power from original to bright or dark, my frames go into the trash. when i switch back to "original" my frames return to normal.

I do not have that issue with any other custom colors for powers. It's only the incarnate powers that do this. So I have to ask, what is so different between the "original" color palate and the custom color palate that would cause such a difference, and has anyone else noticed it?
  6. OK, I'm going to go and flog myself. It never occurred to me to look there.

    Thanks
  7. Has anyone have this happen?

Meet Ransack. This is how he looks in the character select screen.

This is how he looks in game

    Note the highlighted costume

It's making me crazy. I've tried changing chest piece and still have the same thing happen. I don't know what to do to fix it.

closed leagues: Create a private league just for trusted friends by creating a closed league. League leaders can now close a league, making the league exclusive so that uninvited characters cannot join it. Closed leagues cannot vote to remove a league member. A closed league must still meet the minimum required number of characters in order to enter an incarnate trial.
    YES!!!!!

Automatic Cut Scene Skipping In Incarnate Trials: If all the characters in a League have successfully completed an Incarnate Trial, the introductory cut scene for the Trial is automatically skipped so you can dive straight into the game action. Interstitial cut scenes (those in the middle of a Trial) are not skipped.
    Double-D YES!!!
  9. I've been buying a lot of crafted IO's as of late. It saves the hassle of running and crafting. Heck there have been times that I find the crafted enhancement selling for less than the uncrafted recipe.
  10. In years past, I would have had to agree. With the introduction of New TF/SF's, Tip missions, and side switching, I would have to disagree.
  11. I think i still have all the info to change the language to English, but all of the parts are out of date.

I was never able to figure out how to update the parts. Anyway, I'll look through my PM's and see what I have.

Edit: LISAR beat me to it.
  12. I'm not going to comment on the kicking because I knew it was bound to happen sooner or later. Personally, I do not think that the LFG tool as currently constructed will work.

8 random people click first available.
The timer starts, trial begins, everyone loads, and you have a team of:

    ALL Tanks.

    or all Stalkers

    or all Defenders

    with no level shifts

    I smell fail.

advice to all, peek your head in a co-op zone. If there are a bunch of people gathered, more than likely a trial is forming. Use broadcast or whatever to get invited, and run the trials.

as far as I am concerned LFG = LFD.

    question for the LFG advocates.

A leader is trying to run small, and the turnstile adds another. If everyone quits to start over, is that griefing too?

It really sort of surprised me to learn there's no way to directly control this. I mean to put it into perspective what if I wanted to run a TF that required 4 players with only 5 players. Nothing wrong with that. But wouldn't it be weird if the game could randomly toss up to 3 extra random PUG people on your team beyond your control? Sure you could kick them back out, but why go through that silliness? I don't see anything different with people who want to run with less than the maximum with leagues.
    It was asked for.

yup. They might even end up with the league star.

  16. a bit of a let down as I was expecting new pieces. Oh well.

    Crashing daily

    Crash type 1

Irrespective of the reason, a pop up screen will appear advising me that the game "would have crashed" and giving me the option to exit, contiue and to send details of what I was doing at the time.
This type of crash will also usually make itself known through "sound looping".
Sadly, I do not give more information in the pop up screen because typing "I was doing an ITF, or I was trying to pawn an AV" wont particulary help the dev team - Im also pretty peed off when it happens and any comments I make would probably result in me being barred from the game!

    Crash type 2

BOOM, and it was gone - no warning, no pop up screens - usuall a grey screen and total closure of the program.
This usually happens when rezoning after pressing the "exit" button at the end of a BAF when zoning back to Pocket D.
I also get this regularly and in EXACTLY THE SAME PLACE when jumping through the Peregrine Island map from the entry point through to portal court.

    Crash type 3

The well loved mapserver disco - program siezes and I have no option but to "X" out and log back in again.

Some of these crashes occasionally refer to a "corrupt pigg file" which I find amusing, since I didnt corrupt it, I no longer have vidiot maps overlays etc as I thought that maybe VMaps was causing the problem and removed the program and clean installed COH again. As to why a pigg file should corrupt must be COH program driven.

I hear you. I am beyond frustrated at this point. What you have described are three types of crashes that I have been having.

There was another type that I got, let's call it Boom 2

During a Lambda run we destroyed a weapons cache, and the resulting explosion caused myself AND two teammates to crash at the exact same time.

Then there is also the zoning crash in which you get stuck on the loading screen, and have to forcibly shut down the game and restart.

I would really love to know what changed between beta and release. I had zero issues in beta. Was often running the Beta and live client at the same time for hours, with no crashing hiccups zoning bugs or anything.

ug that would truly suck. that would never have occurred to me, since no one that I know would bail on a trial.

Could you explain that please. The only way that I can think of is if you are going for MO, but I could be wrong.
  20. I'm fond of a few

    Two Piece (Dual Pistol blaster)
    Menagerie (ill/rad controller)
    Terror Watt (elec/elec brute)
    Backstroke (Ninja Stalker)
Millie Amp (Elec-Kin corr moved to Virtue and became Pico Farad)
    Hasaan Chop (DB/Stone brute)
    Mousepad (elec/shield scrapper)

There are more, but that's enough.

Did that. Game still crashes. I had to change the settings back so that it stays on in the background. That way I don't have to start the launcher and then the game again when the inevitable happens.

The question I have is why the heck has the memory leak gotten so bad?

using /unloadgfx isn't cutting it either.

    • It is too easy for players to get shafted by league tactics - hey blue team deal with the AV while yellow team gets all the Incarnate XP from the ambushes.
    • It is not balanced.

The same thing applies to Hamidon Raids and Rikti Mothership Raids.

  24. I wish I knew what the problem was, but it's making me crazy. I crash a lot now. when I look in the task manager, CoH is using 1.3 GB of ram when it happens, and the stupid launcher is chewing up an additional 400 meg doing absolutely nothing.

Between the crashes, and zoning only to fall forever, I'm getting annoyed. In all my time here, I've never had issues like this.

No, you could be like me and have CoH on every computer that you own. Not all have the same size screen. Laptops at 1024X768. Desktops at 1024x768, 1280x1024, and I don't even remember the resolution that is on my TV, its like 14xx x 9xx.

The problem with the floating trays is that they move, and they stack. They can hide under your normal tray so that an open slot in your normal tray will appear to be filled, but it's not. It's an unmanageable problem, but it would be nice to get at least one more permanent tray. It's not like I can't find enough things to put in it.
