  1. My only concern is taking Taunt at level 30. If you are playing this from level 1 you will need taunt much, much sooner, like level 10 when it first becomes available. Since the taunt aura is so weak you will need Taunt as an aggro tool.
  2. My second account will be Premium. Main account VIP.
  3. I agree that with Praetoria where you can start with any AT, the AT descriptions need to be updated to include Red and Blue sides together.

Which makes me say who cares if some have huge stockpiles and will get T4 in the new slots moments after they become available? More power for the time it took to stockpile, I say.

Coming up with new currency for new slots suck. Just stick to one and run with it.

The "target build" example from above (147.5% recharge for PS to recharge in 32 secs) includes:

    Hasten
    5x LOTG +rech pieces
4x Doctored Wounds (5 pcs for the 5% rech bonus)
2 "purple" IO sets for another 20% rech bonus.
    And Spiritual Core Alpha.
(probably another rech bonus in there i forgot about)

Again, just an example to get 20 secs uptime and 12 seconds "downtime." Again, in playing the character and not being remote close to that build I am starting to think that it is overkill to have the second +rech IO in there (in PS). It's slightly unlikely (especially with /Regen coming to brutes) that that toon will ever see the purples, and I haven't quite finished tuning a realistic build for when he gets to 50.

So no, just slotting 5x LOTG won't completely get you there, certainly not perma. But they help a lot and get you closer. With Crit-recharges it comes out pretty sweet.
Crushing Impact and Scirocco's Dervish gives recharge bonuses.

I have to disagree it has a PBAoE and a cone. It's not bad against multi-targets. I will agree that the constantly attacking format would be better for Brutes.

Granted I would still love SS better, even if it only has one AoE, because of Rage.
  7. They just need to fix the taunt aura in Willpower to match all the other taunt auras in the game.

I have to agree. Until Super Strength becomes available.
  9. I'd rather have Super Strength.

The seers do more of a Fortitude power on you as do the senechals of the Carnies.

I prefer the Carnies as the Dark Ring Mistress is awesome and the senechal spams extra damage buff on you.

Really if you want to farm, go with a Fire/Kin controller. That's the standard for farming currently. Fire/Kin/Fire with Fireball. Spiritual Alpha and Pyro Judgement. Reactive Interface for extra fire damage. Things die pretty quick.

Isn't Blazing Aura your taunt aura? Isn't that important? Plus it does extra damage. All auras that do damage under perform, but it's still extra damage.

I agree that Jab and Punch need Melee sets in there. I prefer Crushing impact myself for recharge and accuracy. Having taunt sets in a melee power is a waste of time and damage. Your taunt aura and footstomp will do all the work you need in way of gaining aggro. That and Burn. I notice you didn't take Taunt, so I'm guessing this is not a team build.

Because if you are its perhaps smarter to just tone down the difficulty to reach the ticket cap for that mission.
Tanks top out at 300% damage.

Basicallywhat I was going to say was that the boosters only contained items that were posalbe with the current engine and not things we had been told were "imposable".

However the Steampunk pack had backpacks in it and blows that theory out of the water. It is just... disappointing that the only way this game can support it self is by locking all the "good" stuff behind some kind of barrier. Be that Going Rouge, Money, or a Loyalty Program.

But its mostly the money that bothers me the most when they set a precedent for giving us free stuff. and then used the faith that they bulit up with the free stuff to get us to buy the new "good" stuff.

AlrightI'm done talking to myself now where did I put my katana...
If a game is going free to play, they have to lock stuff so that folks spend real money to get it. Otherwise the game doesn't make money.
  14. I'm much more functionality over concept kind of a person. For me the issue is clear.
  15. Yeah, the whole point of F2P is to get you to spend real money to buy the in-game store points. That's called income strategy.
  16. You could drop Focused Accuracy. That is a huge end hog, so much so that it gave my /Regen scrapper problems. Take Conserve Power instead. It's one of the reasons all my attacks have Crushing Impact or Scirocco's Dervish, for the extra accuracy set bonuses so that I don't miss Focused Accuracy as much (extra recharge is nice too). Otherwise you need lots of End Reduction in Focused Accuracy to make it usable without draining your endurance. At least if you plan on actually attacking and not just standing there spamming Taunt.

I also have to wonder if the set bonuses for your Endurance Mod IOs in Stamina and Quick Recovery are worth it as you loose out on straight End Mod benefits in favor of the set bonuses. Do the set bonuses really balance against the value of 3 level 50 generic IOs? As a Willpower tank you shouldn't be having endurance problems with a level 50 build.

Using Mids I also found that I have a better regen rate using 2 Numina and a level 50 Heal IO vs 3 Numina.
  17. I never understood WASD as you are cramped up in corner of the keyboard. But then I've never been too conventional. As long as I'm not forced to use the horrible WASD, I'm happy.

Which was the only drawback to Halo 2. Forced me to use that terrible set-up.
  18. Why are you leaving Rise to the Challenge for so late? That is a key power you will need for the lower levels
  19. Yeah, making Freedom and Virtue VIP would screw me over as I plan on reactivating my second account which would be Premium, but definitely not VIP. All my toons are on Freedom or Virtue.

Either create a new VIP server or just forget the whole idea. I totally disagree with taking a normal server and making it VIP only.

I'm assuming that its due to her fiery aura doing more damage then mine but I just didn't think that she would take all aggro except the mob Im targeting.

Is this how it is at end game TF's and stuff? So brutes hold the best aggro? I also seen in IO sets that brutes basically get the same defense as tankers. I love to tank and thats why its the only class I've taken over 20 but with tanking I enjoy holding aggro! What is the endgame like now? Are brutes and tankers equal?

Also quick other question. Wife has a 50 controller fire/fire. Which would be better to farm with my wife tanker..her 50 controller or her upcoming SS/fire brute?

    Thanks all
The fire controller would farm better. Typically, and generally speaking, fire/kin controllers are the toons that have the easiest time farming. On Redside, they have tried fire/psi Dominators, but nothing really beats a good fire/kin. The days of fire tanks being used for farming are long gone.
  21. Well, I'm totally in love with Super Strength. However, Kinetic Melee is a really nice set that can do good damage.

It also implies that they are only using pre-existing powers in the Dark Manipulation that Blasters are getting.
Which is why I can't understand why they didn't give Scrappers Super Strength. That would be just a straight port over, no new animations needed.
  23. I wonder how well SR will work on the ITF. My /SR scrapper is like tissue paper against cascading defense debuffs.
  24. What's so great about it?

    Simple. It's easy.
  25. Really, Freem has everything you need in a good name. It's got Free in it, which makes it ironic to be the VIP server. It has the appropriate amount of in-game, inside knowledge about it that shows what it means to be a VIP player.

Besides it's "Freem!" and better than the "No Noob" server.
