Vyolet, please read some of those discussions going on before you copy/paste. You'll find that some things are ALREADY being discussed. Catch up on the discussion and join. Don't just barge in.
Edit: and PLEASE read the note for the angry folks. It is heartwarming. -
Couldn't you find even one topic about AE to post in? Nope I guess this topic has unique ideas that nobody has ever thought of. Some ideas might be good, some might be bad, but at this point I think every possible idea has been covered.
Each word is a link to a different thread about issues with AE. I bet that if you read through each and every one of threads you would:
1) Need to smash somebody's face in
2) Realize arguing this topic is pointless
3) Find a corner to cry in
4) Wish you hadn't even bothered posting
5) Be stunned that there are that many threads on AE.

How much do you think I could get for this?
I'm looking to sell these for a good chunk of change.
These are on infinity server, redside.
Gladiator's Net Hold Set (5, w/o the proc)
Very useful in both PvP and PvE
All level 50 and crafted.
Redside, Infinity Server
Acc/End/Rech/Hold
End Redux/Rech/Hold
Rech/Hold
Acc/Rech
Acc/Hold
I don't have a ton of experience moving extremely pricey items.
edit: I don't mind bidding either if I can figure out how to get them to ya! -
Can you compile more?
1) I don't see why not.
2) I want..post haste.
3) Sure
4) You can technically do this, but an option is nicer. It takes a bit of clever work. Here's how:
Custom Mob 1
Custom Mob 2
Now you can spawn 'bosses' all over the map to fight. If they are custom bosses, you can make them whatever rank you wish. Then, have that boss appear to look like the rest of the enemy group you are fighting (works in some situations). Surround it with either custom group 1 or 2. You're only limited by the number of boss spawn sites on the map. The other alternatives are a little more obvious to see in the game, such as defendible or destructible objects. -

I learned something today. (mostly a redsider)
When I finally dinged 50, I explored the abandoned sewer network because I never bothered to see what was there. Well, I explored it after the shadow shard, which was cool.
Blueside is complicated for me.
Thanks for the new place to explore! -
Please don't take this the wrong way, but have you played a stalker on a team before? Have you done a SF on one?
Stalkers are incredibly squishy (LOLz ElA) and compared to brutes do not offer the consistent AoE damage potential sought after on teams. They do incredible burst damage, but stalkers come in dead last when people recruit for SFs for a reason.
Hide and assassin strike is deliciously fun, but on a steam-rolling team, you quickly discover that by the time you're hidden, the team just finished that mob - hence why stalkers on more intense teams tend to play as scrappers.
I agree, single target strikes on a hard target are absolutely sick on a stalker. However, that's their one trick. After that strike and placated strike, their damage is sub-brute. They work for burst damage. Once that drops off, their sustained DPS isn't very impressive. -
I've been putting together my copy-paste reply to AE threads. I was wondering if you would like your thread included in that reply. As it wasn't a OMGNERFAEPLZNAO!!!!!111!!!ragequit, I didn't include it.
But I could. -
It's the inverse. The correct color for dark melee is pink.

I should have included this topic in my new AE auto reply. Here it is:

Hello, and welcome to the game.
If you decide to stick around, you'll want to know of this resource:
paragonwiki.com
As for which server to pick, the population of the servers is sorted on the server selection menu. The most popular are listed on the bottom, while the server you just accessed is on the very bottom of that list. So...
Freedom and Virtue tend to be the most populated servers, but in general, you'll find most servers to be fairly populated.
The trial accounts are a bit restrictive, but you'll get a very good feel for the game. Most of these restrictions are in place due to Real Money Traders (gold farmers) to keep them in check.
I suggest trying a scrapper first as well. I also suggest that you avoid spending too much time in the new feature - Architect Entertainment (AE). It's very cool, but since this is your trial experience, you want to see everything that is out there.
Enjoy your experience. -
Read the entire topic before you panic, please.
Then you can panic after you see the *ahem* dev confirmation. -
It's having difficulty opening previous mids files. Steiner is aware of this, so it's being worked on. Poor guy.

*The theory is that human breasts are supposed to resemble the curved shapes of the buttocks as a visual arousal trigger/cue since humans tend to mate face to face, unlike other mammals. No other mammals have an equivalent buildup of fatty tissue on the torso or mammary glands.
[/ QUOTE ]It's not really more than a hypothesis and not a theory, and one that is easy to disprove when you consider the natural shape of breasts look absolutely nothing like human buttocks at all. It takes fashion, and fashion with respect to preferred breast shape has been highly variable even between decades, not to mention over the span of thousands of years, and because of this would not have been a significant contributor to the passing on of mutations toward "front butt."
Indeed, that hypothesis is based on a very cultural bias that, through ethnocentrism, is believed to be shared by all humanity when that is not the case. The sexualization of breasts is not a universally human trait.
[/ QUOTE ]This post made me think, and look things up.
That's cool.

Other species also mate facing each other and don't have bewbs. Regardless, more research on the uniqueness of humanity needs to be done. -

Stalkers are now taking our best PvP set, which will no doubt end up being insanely amazing, and we get stuck with electricity? I think that maybe energy melee would be a much more fair trade, and quite frankly I have been wanting it on scrappers for a while now. Any opinions? Should we get Energy Melee instead? How do people feel about Stalker Broadsword? How do you feel about us getting electricity?
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm not really sure that when choosing powerset proliferations, the developers focus on what is best for PvP. Just a hunch.
Electric/Shield scrappers may be the best melee AoE combo come issue 16. Given that fury takes a lot away from the damage potential of lightning rod on brutes (the pseudopet damage cap and fury taking up most of that), scrappers should deal more damage on their strikes when buffed, and it is a gorgeous power. I'll probably roll one, even if I don't have the inf for it. -
Two Elec/Elec Builds - one for +HP and sapping, one for defense and damage. Go with the defense build, but the sapper is kind of fun at times and doesn't sacrifice too much offense.

a level 50 to street sweep in AP and still earn XP
[/ QUOTE ]
That one point of XP to 51 has been very hard to implement.
I know what you were saying, but I couldn't resist.
To the OP:
It's not a bad idea, although the second sounds more plausible than the first. Given the AE addon, it should actually be possible to make a custom contact and have it only visible to you in the zone you are in. As to the missions, they could probably work off the pre-existing radio/paper mission bit, though with a thematic approach, so it cycles through a certain mob for a while, then a new one, etc. -
[ QUOTE ]
Many of you seem to be underestimating the survivability of a character that can take a hit beter then Ice Armor/ but play wiht the same lead off with the end drain style and go from there.
If anything with ELA geting ported ot tankers I'd want CP replaced with a foe debuff toggle similiar to darkest night.
[/ QUOTE ]
What?
A typed defensive set is similar in what way to a typed resistance set? That it has toggles?!
In what way does darkest night, a to-hit debuff and -dmg have anything to do thematically with electric armor?
I have a feeling you are thinking of Energy Aura. -
[ QUOTE ]
Actually its NEVER happend outside of beta testing. Thats why I know some of these suggestions about completely revamping a power or removing this won't work. The developers are very against major changes to a powerset.
[/ QUOTE ]
What happens when the cottage rule is faced with another rule, such as this one here.
To quote it:
[ QUOTE ]
Then there are the general AT wide no-no's. Such as: giving armor powers to non-armored classes, or overlapping powers alread in patron pools.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's a problem. -
Complicated answer:
Certain difficulty settings spawn more enemies, which will generate tickets. Other settings increase the chances of higher class enemies spawning, such as LT's and Bosses (provided the mission isn't already set to do this). Under both cases, more tickets will be dropped.
But, the AE mission can also be designed to generate more tickets on its own. You can set the spawn difficulty within AE for hard and limit the classes to only LT's or Bosses.
As far as I know the tickets earned are per mission. If it capped the earnings at 1500 per arc, a lot of people writing story arcs would be VERY upset.
Check the 'special' tab in Salvage. It's also where you find your merits (both regular and vanguard). -
[ QUOTE ]
Well you can always slot the kinetic combat chance for knockdowns if you go the fire route. Or use inspirations or the T9 / DA in overwhelming situations.
[/ QUOTE ]
Absolutely. Electric Armor can be made to work with intelligent slotting. I don't believe electric armor is worthless, and I wouldn't be pushing for changes if I didn't already enjoy the set. However, when you apply the same methods of mitigation to other armor sets that already outperform electric in most situations, you wind up with a much stronger character.
I run ~30% Melee defensive builds on my electric brutes (yes plural). In moving electric armor over to tanks/scrappers, who already have conserve power, we have a unique opportunity to get around the 'cottage rule', and just about any other power in its place would be a welcome addition, especially if conserve power gets moved to Mu mastery.
This is why I believe that now is the best time for the set to be looked at, because after the proliferation, you have a (hopefully) much-greater playerbase with pre-existing builds.
