Any able to throw a claw/Elec Armor build with slotting? I am trying to figure out a build plan but I am unfamiliar with the how elec armor should be built.

No experience but looking at the set it is a pure resistance set has no heal or defense to stack pure defense does fine most sets have a layered approach (a few exceptions).

Elec would do well with dm and a siphon life but it is pretty straight forward resistance some damage and end drain and nothing else

Can't do slotting at work, but as far as power choice goes (assuming Claws for brutes exactly mirrors for Scrappers):

Level 1: Strike OR Swipe
Level 1: Charged Armor
Level 2: Slash
Level 4: Conductive Shield
Level 6: Hover
Level 8: Follow Up
Level 10: Static Shield
Level 12: Swift
Level 14: Fly
Level 16: Health
Level 18: Focus
Level 20: Stamina
Level 22: Lightning Reflexes
Level 24: Grounded
Level 26: Eviscerate
Level 28: Spin
Level 30: Lightning Field
Level 32: Shockwave
Level 35: Power Sink
Level 38: Power Surge
Level 41: Mu Lightning
Level 44: Ball Lightning
Level 47: Electrifying Fences
Level 49: Conserve Power

Skips one of Swipe or Strike (I forget which one I like better) and Taunt / Confront.

If I were building one, myself, I'd get Fly at level 6 (Vet reward) and either get whichever of Swipe or Strike I skipped earlier at level 4 and push Conductive Shield to 12 (and Swift to 14). I would probably then respec to ditch the extra attack (one of the level 1 choices) and get Combat Jumping for the extra root protection and air mobility.

My only experience with Elec Armor is as Elec / Elec and I've been doing just fine so far without Aid Self. Sure, there are times when damage comes in hot and heavy but a quick Power Sink and everyone's ~brawling~ with me as Lightning Field KEEPS their endurance from coming back. Plus I have a +heal-me sleep-based IO in Charged Brawl for a touch-up every now and again. And the Regenerative Tissue unique IO in health, too.

I haven't decided for sure on my Claws Brute's secondary although in general I like Willpower best (turn it on and forget about it).

And for giggles, that build would look something like this:

Level 1: Strike
Level 1: High Pain Tolerance
Level 2: Slash
Level 4: Fast Healing
Level 6: Hover
Level 8: Follow Up
Level 10: Indomitable Will
Level 12: Swift
Level 14: Fly
Level 16: Rise to the Challenge
Level 18: Focus
Level 20: Quick Recovery
Level 22: Mind Over Body
Level 24: Spin
Level 26: Eviscerate
Level 28: Heightened Senses
Level 30: Health
Level 32: Shockwave
Level 35: Stamina
Level 38: Strength of Will

With the later levels being patron powers with Combat Jumping thrown in probably.

Thats cool. I don't think I am so worried with no heals as a scrapper. I shouldn't be getting targeted all that much if I am with a tank. And if I am getting hit then I should be able to drop the mob quick.

I am thinking claws, but it sure is hard to ignore siphon life from DM.

If you build smart, you can get the defense into the 25% to all range with little sacrifice.

You don't need both conserve power and power sink, personally I only use power sink and sap every group I hit.

I have both an em/elec and a dm/elec. The dm is definitely more survivable at higher levels.

I haven't looked at claws in a while, so I will try and take a peak for a build.

I figured Katana would do pretty darn good with 25% defense then stack DA you can soft cap melee

Aidself could help if you can get some solid defense in the build

Done some more research on elec armor over on the brute/stalker boards. It doesn't look good. Need to see what they replace conserve power with.

Why would they replace conserve power? If they do it won't happen anytime soon.

Either go dm or go aid self with a couple of interrupt reductions.

You could maybe skip stamina 2 conserve power and power sink haha not that I advise it but with 3 slotting you can have power sink up like every 30 seconds

Scrappers and tanks can get conserve power in the epic pool. Stalkers and brutes can't. Most brutes and stalkers I know skip that power. Its totaly useless for them since power sync is the next power open and it comes back every 30 seconds 3 slotted with SOs and lightning reflexes. I will say no more for fear of starting to set trash.

Because Scrappers get Conserve Power as an APP choice, unlike Brutes or Stalkers, and it would be absurd to have it available twice?

I have a 50 DM/EA. I kind of lucked into that combo since I didn't know when I started how well those two sets go together. I'm not sure I'd enjoy playing EA with another set actually.

I think it's Power Sink that requires you to be on the ground? I forget which power it was, but there was a reason I couldn't use hover in battle. (I took Air Sup anyway since I went with a buzzsaw build.)

Power Sink with enough recharge should keep your endurance bar full.

Also Lightning Field -- that's the AoE right? Attracts attention. I played my brute without a taunt but I never had problems keeping the attention of enemies for as long as they remained alive (which -- on a good reside team is 1-3 seconds ).

It's Grounded that requires you to be on the ground to get the Immob/KB protection.. Annoyingly, Lightning Rod apparently removes you from the ground for a moment, because my brute frequently gets knocked down the instant the animation completes.

Basing my experience on my Elec/Elec Brute...

You will want Tough/Weave, Aid Self, and try for +Defense, +HP in your IO set bonuses.

One of Elec Armor's biggest defenses, is draining the enemies END with Power Sink (that comes at lvl 35, unless they change it for scrappers *crosses fingers*).

Even after you have Power Sink, you should get the +Def/+HP from set bonuses, Tough/Weave and Aid Self.

Now mind you, I was trying to tank with my /Elec Armor Brute, as a scrapper, it might not be as important, but me personally, I'd still want those things.

I just rolled an elec/elec brute and I've heard simliar advice, but I have no idea what powers I'm supposed to sacrifice to get so many pool powers. Do /elec brutes just skip patron powers or something?

My first redside 50 was an SS/Elec Brute. I managed to get there without Tough/Weave, but Aid Self is pretty much required.

Two Elec/Elec Builds - one for +HP and sapping, one for defense and damage. Go with the defense build, but the sapper is kind of fun at times and doesn't sacrifice too much offense.
