  1. I have both now and the build shows me keeping boxing, tough, weave. Boxing is set mule for purple set I have.
  2. Oh I do have Atlas and freedom phalanx. don't have it listed. I don't use tough, I guess I should. I just take the hits and when I get too low use aid self.
  3. Ok here is what I am proposing:

What I did was drop Aid other and Aid self to see what PP would net me.

A whole lot more regen! But is this something I should look into or keep the oh S* button?

Ahem. Thanks again Nihilli, it's good to see some unsubstantiated theorizing validated by someone who knows what they're doing.
I don't think you can get Pine and Conifer on the same attack, they cancel each other out. Oak is OP, just ask the Maple.

    1. Looks like you're way over ranged positional defense. Mine shows you have close to 49%. Have you accounted for the fact that a bug in Mid's doesn't factor in the 3.75% ranged defense for Phalanx Fighting. Use that to move around slots (slot in a Crushing Impact and then move the extra slot to Active Defense (see below).

    2. The Psi resistance proc in Tough gives you very little value. With the proc, you have 3% psi resitance or not enough to matter. Swap it out for a Res/End/Rech piece to up smash/lethal resistance and save a bit on endurance.

    3. I'd move a 2nd recharge IO into Active Fighting. It's helpful when you exempt down, and since you don't have purple sets in the build, it's nice to be able to count on perma mez protection when you exempt and lose your set bonuses.
Number 1. fixed it. thanks for the info (put 5 Crushing in Incinerate and one level 50 recharge). Don't know if the recharge is worth it.

Number 2. Didn't care about proc, just needed 4 for the end buff. changed it out.

Number3. I don't usually exemp. Will have to think about it.
  6. My claws/SR hasn't felt the need for hasten. I run every attack chain seamlessly. But claws have intrisicly fast recharge times on is attacks anyway. Now if you had DM or BS or FM etc, then I would say Hasten is important to reach your top end DPS chains.

I've actually got a DA/EM stunlock Tanker and, honestly, it's not that great. He works incredibly well when fighting hoards of enemies but, when trying to tank a single target, he falls kind of flat. Of course, he isn't IO'd at all, and I predict he would turn into a living engine of destruction if I ever chose to do so.
    my mistake, DA/SS tank. yes.

I generally drink about 14-18 cups of coffee a day. My travel mug holds 3-4 cups.

SHOUT OUT to all the TEXANS!!! Seeing a few flurries in SA. (I grew up here, moved to Austin, had to move back to SA and now trying to figure out how to get back to Austin)

ooo Nicaraguan is good!!! basically any Mexico and Latin American is great stuff.

and yes, black. if you have to add cream and sugar, then you really don't like the coffee. But I have been known to add some O'Mara's irish cream to my coffee, but that wasn't for flavor

For Thematic reasons, I am thinking of breath of fire instead of GFS. Not sure, but my toon is basically a dragon.

I'm not convinced on skipping AaO either, especially as you got Flurry instead. If it's for concept, go for it, but Flurry is a terrible attack for scrappers.
ROFL!!! Ok OK. when I get home I'll get it posted.

    Stupid me
  18. I like Costa Rican, Guatamalan. Italian roast. grind at time of using coffee press.

For the Kuerig system I like Emeril's Big easy and green mountain Dark Magic

The others are single slotted with a basic run IO. (Yes, I am aware that CJ detoggles when NR is enabled.) Just under super speed MPH. It works perfectly well as a replacement for a standard travel power for me.

It also allowed me to break 1930 HP mark and I now regen at 30HP/sec while retaining my fu, slash, focus, strike, repeat attack chain with no pauses and no hasten.

It is true that it won't function on master runs, but I don't care about those.

To the OP, WP is a much smoother ride than regen. Regen does cause redraw, which sucks and diminishes your damage output.

My bet is that you'll have more fun going sword/wp.
Post it BillyZ!!!! I'd like to see if I should tweak.
  20. I will add, I was in a TF with a SS/DA Tank. wow is all I got to say
  21. Here is a Xanex posted build that I have have tweaked and moved some slots around.

    Comments?

Focus on getting and slotting up your attacks before your defenses. In the early game (up to 20 or so?), the best defense is a good offense. Then it slowly transitions through the rest of the game to the best defense actually being a good defense. Well, if you slowly crank up the difficulty, anyway.

Talk to the detective in King's Row and run radio missions as soon as possible (level 5-6?). After running a few missions, you'll get a safeguard mission. Defeat the main boss in the bank on the mission, and you'll get a temporary travel power (flight, 2 hours of in-game use). Do the same thing in Steel Canyon, and you'll get another temporary travel power, this time jumping. It's faster than flight, so worth getting as well. These CAN allow you to skip a real travel power for some time if you wish, though real travel powers are faster. I typically pick up a real travel power in the 30s or so these days because the temp travel powers are good enough for me. Another option is to purchase the martial arts pack and use Ninja Running or whatever it's called. It's quite fast and has just enough of a jump to not be annoying when the map isn't flat. If you just want a real travel power as soon as possible, plan ahead, because all of the real travel powers have a prerequisite power in the power pool.

I'd pick up Stamina at 20. That has TWO prerequisite powers in the power pool, so again, plan ahead.

The teens will likely suck. They do for me on most scrappers. You're going to die a lot, and you'll be running out of endurance, and you'll be questioning what you did. Hang in there. It gets better, and then a LOT better.

Don't slot Rest, even if it is tempting for a while. Eventually, you won't even use it because you'll recover health and endurance too quickly to bother.

Don't slot Brawl. You have much better attacks. Use it as filler if you want, though, until you get some attacks from your primary.

Do slot at least one endurance reducer in each attack. They burn a LOT more endurance than your toggles do. Do slot accuracy in your attacks. Accuracy and endurance enhancement are the generally the priority before damage enhancement at low levels.

I'm not sure if this is something anyone but me enjoys, but I typically want to make costume tweaks very early in the game. The lowest level zone with an Icon is Steel Canyon, and it's on the opposite side of the zone. You have to weave your way through bad guys that can pretty much one shot you. Still, you CAN do it. They're never so close together that you can't slip through them and make it. Besides, the hospital is halfway there, and at a low level, you can't get any debt. I think of "The Steel Canyon Icon Run" as a right of passage for my new characters. I've never heard of anyone else with the same idea, though, so it's probably just me.
Actually, both travel powers are in KR. first one detective then the next one. 5 - 10 is flight 10 - 12ish is super jump.

It is a superhero game, and what was done here was super, and SHOULD be achievable.

nerf should only be brought into discussion when everyone is doing this. As it stands, such a small percentage of the player base is even at this level, why nerf? The game is fairly well balanced.

Full SR minus elude, 3 fitness powers, 2 travel powers (cj/sj)

    That leaves 7 powers left.

Now fire melee, I use fire sword, creamate, incinerate, greater fire sword, single target, breath of fire and FSC aoe, and build up. Not one of those powers would I give up, so i fail to see wherei have room for weave.

The only thing you could argue, is dropping like, cremate or GFS in lieu of having fast other 3 ST attacks. However, i don't feel that any recharge slotting, that you can do with having weave, would outweigh enough not having that 4th attack. You would need hasten to REALLY do what you're suggesting, which is another power pick, over weave. When having those powers still lets me do what i need to do.

You might argue, skipping BoF, which is a bad idea IMO, i love aoe, and thats a decent power to use. Unless you are giong for strictly an AV soloing biuld, i would never consider skipping it on any toon.

Same with the claw/sr, everything above the same, skipping swipe an confront. I'll probably hear more arguments about skipping eviscerate than all i'd imagine, but thats one reason why i wanted to remake, my claw/regen didn't have it, nor could fit it. I happen to love the power, in PVE hitting multiple enemies with it is win, and its damage got upped so its useful ST as well. You could almost argue skipping shockwave, but i would never suggest that. Even in the playstyle where you usually stand in the middle of the mob all the time, there will easily be times its worth using, and its giving you 6.25% recharge bonus with positrons blast anyways, kinda negating your decision of picking up weave for more recharge.
I just started up a Fire/Shield. leveling fast. I took scorch, the final DPS is better. But I would like to fit in Breath of fire, not sure how to do it though. Why? I have a dragon theme going on.
