I'm not good with binds at all, so can someone help me out?
I want to bind my TAB key so that when I press it it activates the cursor to use Lightning Rod or Shield Charge, whichever one is up. For example, I hit tab, then click a spot on the ground and it activates Lightning Rod first. If I press it again it will activate Shield Charge. If I press it while both powers are up, it should activate Lightning Rod first. I don't expect the power to activate just the cursor to show up so I can click the spot.
Can anyone help me out? I know it sounds kind of confusing... -
I have a SS/shield at 50 and has a 500 mill build, softcapped (with one ally) and 50 recharge bonus w/o hasten. All I can say is, he is a DEATH MACHINE.
The thing that annoys me is RAGE. Rage is something that annoys me beyond belief. It's like being held..which I HATE. It isnt so bad alone, but when you double stack it...its so current...and it annoys me to the point that I try not to use it anymore. After I stopped using rage I figured...I may as well be elec melee. Rage hate may sound weird to some of you...but all I can say is I hate it. So I made my elec/shield and he's at level 41.
I know from experience that shields is way to squishy for my tastes...until you IO it for defense. After you hit high defense, recharge is pretty awesome because when you have SHield charge AND Lightning Rod, you want them up ASAP.
Anyways, here's the build I have planned. Not buying purps (excluding a couple procs). Not buying PVP IO's either.
Please, Have I made any mistakes? Any changes to make it even the slightest bit better? (w/o costing too much more inf).

You forgot to mention...that you were the one forming the Manti and I was trying to do you a favor by getting you another member... -
Alright, in the time I've gotten my spines/WP to level 47, I've learned a few things.
1. Willpower does not take to great of alphas.
2. If you're going down, you can see it early.
3. Softcapped WP's are ridiculously strong (No, I'm not even going to use google to find out how to spell ridiculous).
So, I made a WP build that focused on defense (with modest recharge) and one that focused on HP (with modest recharge). The defense had softcap to smashing and lethal, making him nigh unkillable by S/L due to 50 res and 42 Defense. The HP build had about 60% more regen bonus, and about 27% more hp. I've heard that 27% hp is essentially 27 bonus resist to all. So I went with defense build because I love the ITF's and I love fighting bosses in MA.
Here is my build, focused on Defense and Recharge. I know spines doesnt exactly need alot of recharge so I didnt stress too much about it.
Anyone know how I can improve this build? Any obvious mistakes I have made? I really like the idea of this and it sounds alot more practical than focusing on regen or HP. Tear it up! Oh, and I'm straying away from purps except a few procs. Not buying PVP IO's due to the ridiculous prices.

Help me out here? -
Seems that I have said something I didn't really mean. I in no way think that bases are USELESS, as definitly serve a purpose. I was just saying...I'd really like to see something done with bases...
-
I have 500 mill in my ss/shield and it works wonders. But it's only good when you softcap and get super high recharge. Willpower is alot easier and cheaper, though.
-
Behavior in boards =/= Behavior in zones.
Just cause someone talks smacks on the forums don't mean they talk smack in zones. If you would come in a zone you would know that almost nobody smack talks in zones unless they know the person or are being playful. -
What I'm trying to say is . . . Don't you want MORE?
Seems like this was a really great idea but was never expanded on. -
Supergroups are a pretty big deal in this game. Most of our global friends, teams, taskforces, and other activities are done with Supergroup members and Coalation members. Supergroups are a great addition to the game, adding a feel of community.
However, supergroup bases are nigh useless. You get teleporters and storage. Crafting tables and enhancement tables. But what is the point? So a group of leaders can decorate the base like The Sims?
When you think of the Justice League base, it's pretty important. They get their missions, they train, and have meetings. So why not in City of Heroes? Bases need WORK. I myself have never been big on decorating bases. I tried it once, but I just felt like it wasn't worth it. Bases need at least a whole issue. Missions, Taskforces, SUPER stuff. Also, fix BASE RAIDS. Half the fun of having a base would be FIGHTING in it, defending it, except that half the CoH population never got to experience because it is yet to be fixed. Cathedral of Pain trial, something to do with your SUPERGROUP. Silver Mantis SF has nothing to do with your base...in fact I'm not really sure why it's in the Base. We need something EPIC.
Supergroup bases should be SUPER. Not Convenient stores. -
Wonka I can't see any of your pics they so dark
-
I want the metal thorns that Silver Mantis has. We already have her graphics right?

I heard Demons have a lower droprate than other enemies because of the "demon farm". Is this true? Is there any other groups that have a decreased drop rate?

Unless some credible folk can produce data...
To date, I've seen no data that proves this on any map...whether to the plus or minus side.
Now, back in the fall of 2007, there was this BP map...
[/ QUOTE ]
Thanks! I wasn't exactly worrying about it too much just an old thing poopped into my head when I saw this post. -
For a regen, the only thing I can think of to build for is recharge. Defense won't get you much, and you already have plenty of recovery. Focus on recharge and if there is no recharge bonus set then go for HP bonus.
Hecatombs and crushing impacts for your single target attacks, LOTG +Recharge in combat jumping and MOG. Armegedon or Obliteration in your PBAOE, if you have any Patron AOE's you can slot those with Ragnaroks and....I think positrons blast. That's all I know off the top of my head.
Purple sets are really great for building recharge but they are definitly not needed. -
Just had a little thought come into my head, I might make an ALTBUILD just for this purpose.
Make a Stealth capped stalker. Get Aid Other. Wait for duels. Aid other, Aid Other, Aid other, aid other, aid other, aid other, aid other, aid other, aid other...and for emphasis....Aid Other. So after the most lulzy toon beats the best PVP tank on the server...
"HOW THE HELL DO THE VILLZ KEEP WINNING DUELS????!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!!!???????///??/??!!/1?!?!?/11/!/?!1?!"
Then the stalker comes out of hide, heals another villain and says "ASSASSINS HEAL!!!!"
Yes yes, I am definitly making an alt build for this. -
I heard Demons have a lower droprate than other enemies because of the "demon farm". Is this true? Is there any other groups that have a decreased drop rate?
-
SD really isnt that great on its own...but when you IO it for softcap defense it becomes a beast. The only thing it doesnt have is a heal and when you pair it with dark melee you are one of the most suvivable brutes in the game.
-
When I see a flying toon on my blaster its really easy. Position yourself midway between flier and ground. Activate boost range, then snowstorm. This is the part where you kill them. Shriek scream shiek STUN and SHOUT right before they hit the ground. They are mezzed so they cannot avoid the ground impact and they will die with they hit the ground or they will be near dead.
However, when i see fliers on my stalker I cry. -
How does elec/shield compare to SS/Shield? On a high recharge build I can see elec coming out ahead because of Lightning Rod, with SS having better single target damage.
Does anyone have an elec/shield and SS/shield to compare? -
Servers back up, peeps. Thread over.
