The kick is the result of Brawling with claws, spines, bow or dual blades out, also half the time with shield out.

Quote:Just as a nitpick, we also have the Drone skeleton used by pretty much anything small that flies (Pantheon masks, Rikti/PPD/Arachnos Drones, Council/5th hoverbots, Traps/Skraiders FFG etc) and the Spider skeleton used by low-set models with a lot of legs (various Arachnobots, Tarantulas, Giant Fly Trap).Actually, we also have a Monstrous skeleton in the game that's used for quite a few things, Kheldian Dwarf form being one of them, along with things like Werewolves, Shivans, Clockwork Princes and so forth. It's basically a model with a large chest and wide shoulders, short legs and long arms.
It's not player-usable because it doesn't have animations defined for almost any existing powers, and making new ones would not be feasible, or at least so BABs used to say. It does have basic animations, such as running and jumping ones, as well as several but not all emotes (which is why they disabled a whole swath of emotes for Bright/Dark Dwarves way back when), so it's usable as an NPC with few stock powers, but not something that's applicable to players. I don't think that rig has any costume items defined for it, either.
No real point to this, just thought it was interesting.
[edit]Oh! And the Tentacle skeleton, used by, well. Tentacles and vines. -
Nope, mostly due to a raving dislike for Char. I can't explain it. I just don't like it at all.
Also I don't really like Hot Feet. Again, can't explain why.
Plus, ice cubes. -
So I have an idea for a character. Sgt. Calhoun, praetorian PPD officer turned Powers Division when his powers were discovered.
I'm considering an Ice/Therm controller for the combination, but I'm not really familiar with playing Controllers. I do have a high level Earth dom though, and some experience with Fire, so mostly, I'd be looking for advice? -
Quote:If doing 40-45 content after 35-40 one is out of order, there's something wrong with the order.I'm going to stop you right there, and say that the problem is not with the writing of either the original arc or the newer content, but that you're doing the latter before the former - out of order, as it were - AND that Cryptic and Paragon never put in the time and money to rewrite the former as it was overtaken by later events. On their own, both are IMO decent stories; they just don't fit together in the current setting.

Quote:.....I think I like this idea. Here's what I would like them to do with Dimension Shift (and Black Hole too), change it from a Target AoE to a Location targeted 'pet' (like Quicksand or Volcanic Gasses) that pulses a short duration PBAoE Enemy phase, AND a PBAoE ALLY phase, and allow for the PvP mechanics for phaseing to work in PvE as well if they don't already (phased targets can attack other phased targets). The pulses would have to be set to ignore phase in order to keep mobs from phasing in and out as the power ticks, which we know they can do already cause Hamidon ignores phase.
This keeps from breaking the Cottage rule (the primary purpose of the power is unchanged ( it's still an AoE phase power)) but it removes one of the biggest annoyances of phase powers (having to wait till they expire to kill the phased mobs) by allowing you to enter/exit the phase shift field and then attack the phased mobs.
You could change the name to Dimensional Rift to match the new functionality of the power. (Dimension Shift is more of an action, where Dimensional Rift is more of a Thing.) The name Black Hole still works great though. -
Ice Armor / Super Strength.
With a minimum IO investment, you become impossible to hit, while dishing out sizeable damage to your debuffed enemies.
For extra awesome, add Ice Storm on top of your head. -
Recluse guarding his Destined One investments + the ability to revoke it explosively as a threat if a Destined One goes too far.

Quote:As I understand it, not currently doable -- but then, we have Mystic Fortune, so what do I know. Maybe Fortune works by exclusion tho'.A thought for Roulette.
Keep the 15% Defense buff and allow one of the other random buffs listed to be applied based on random number generation. That way your ally always gets two buffs but their combat strategy has to be flexible enough to change mid stream. Not as all or nothing as the original suggestion but more like a Tier 2 power.

Part of me wants to play a DA/DB.
Most of me thinks that part of me is mad. -
Quote:And a ugly aura. The power for DS is pretty good too. It's a big damage boost to the pet you give it to. And you get random imps that, while not that powerful, can take hits and do a little damage.
Besides which, the necro, thug, and demon powers can all slot RIP IO sets, giving ALL of your pets an extra 5% DEF and 10% RES.
Quote:The problem though (for me) is that Forcefield has that same feeling AND can combine PFF with Aid Self AND can get resistance in the 40s through Ancillaries. Oh AND has great mitigation through knockback. After playing both Sonic and FF on a defender, there really is no comparison between them (Solo at least). Forcefield is totally better.
Devs, Please Buff Sonic !!!!
oh wait.
Very poor single-target damage, Ignite being an unreliable damage dealer. Yes, you can immob (with the right secondary) but other sets can just hit their close-range damage dealer for the same effect -- or their fourth ranged attack. -
Quote:Pretty sure they drop whatever origin you are.Make almost exclusively Magic-oriented characters. That has only changed with Praetoria, as there are no magic-based enemies, and therefore no magic enhancements being dropped.
But what if I need it? -

You know what? I like. Especially the robot war sections.

Quote:Word. Very much word. Nemesis in particular could use some seriousing up.Building on what others have said, I kinda find the forced dialogue between Fusionette, Faultline and some of the Rikti very, very grating. In fact, a LOT of the forced Rikti dialogue actually just...it hacks me off on a creative level. The Rikti are meant to be badass, they are meant to be scary, even a little creepy. They comunicate via a giant hivemind psi network. They shouldnt speak. They shouldnt ever make lame joke comments.
The Freakshow...hmn. Some are ok. Some are, as others pointed out, lame. I kinda like the theme behind Miss Francines Freaks, in that some might actually realise that, y'know, beating other people up is ok...but beating up criminals to save people is actually kinda nicer. I even added them into a bit of Xmas fiction I did, which I was quite happy with.
Joke Nemesis creatively infuriates me. They have this Michaevellian Archvillain who can, at any moment, step out of the shadows and haul on some strings, endangering countless lives on a whim... and then turn him into a joke. I'm not talking about 'Everything is a Nemesis Plot', because people do that about governements and organisations in real life. Its believable. But he should be cold, calculating, the sort of villain who irrevocably believes he is right and you, you silly little child, are wrong. Like when he's talking to Lady Grey in the RWZ diplomacy mission. THAT is spot on. Some other stuff? Less so. Like the automatons....dear god, this guy is a genius, at least credit him with automatons that actually do their damn job. I know it could all be part of a 'He WANTS you to see them!' sorta plot, but even so...it's meh. Very meh.

I can get behind this!
Get it? Behind? Cute ***? Ah I kill myself. -

Quote:Assorted D dialogueFor me, it's the little things. The first time I ever truly felt like a villain was two simple words, uttered by a Luddite as my brute sauntered out from behind some crates in Cap au Diable:
"Oh crap." -
Hey hey. Those of you who troll the Suggestion boards might recognize me from my usual deluge of threads about how to (hopefully reasonably) fix whatever irks me this week. This however is slightly different.
See, this is unrealistic to change. Hell, it'd be unrealistic to even put in in the first place. But a guy can dream...
See, I'd like to, back then, change how Knockback works in this game. Make it less binary.
Like what? Well, for example, change the ways knockback resistances work. Separate them. Nimble-type characters like Super Reflexes or those with Acrobatics would get knocked back, but in all but the strongest cases, would get to their feet much faster -- landing on their feet, so to speak. Tough-type characters like Invuln would still be not very much pushed, but strong enough knockback could 'stagger' them briefly (force into a short recoil animation), or even push them across the ground -- again, shorter in duration than the knockback we're used to.
So. If reality and causality weren't inhibiting you, what's one change you would have made? -
As do I, the reason being "Not worth the effort of getting rid of it properly"

Quote:Which is why the character would be a Defector From Decadence who believes My Species Doth Protest Too Much. It's a nice suggestion, looks like you put alot of thought into it.....1 major problem...the DE are on their own side, both the resistance & the loyalists agree....the DE MUST die. They wrecked the world, they nearly killed off humanity...who'd trust them now? Like it or not the DE fit in nowhere with either camp, except maybe as a trained pet. Sorry to rain on your parade (really), but as a PEAT it just doesn't work.
