I've been dying to have a WS, or would that then be nictus, on Rogues Isle. So yea I'm looking forward to it.

Everything else I can wait for Faction switiching...I'd probably end up doing that with the FB/TR Corrupted anyway rather then a Defender. -
My PB, then my Crab. With my PB it was a case of seeing others use them and having this mystery about them. When my original main hit 50 I made a PB right away...and was in love. I just was in total enjoyment of all the things I could do. It got so bad that my friends made jokes about me ever getting off that Alt so I could do our group outings. Anyways I'm still in love long past my PB hitting 50. I try to hit other milestones with him, like fully Purpling him out, hitting a million Prestige, getting badges etc. I Alt a lot, but I always come back to the PB, more so then the Tanker that helped me get it.
Then comes my Crab. I'm big into duality and dichotomy. I so badly wanted an evil WS to be a nemesis to my PB that I was quite disappointed to get VEATs instead. But I sucked it up and made a few VEATs, but the one that stole my heart and had me priroritizing things differently was the Crab. It took me only 3 weeks to hit him to 50. I was almost dissapointed that the journey went by so quickly, yet in awe because I had done it with no PLing and couldn't fathom how time and level went by so swiftly. So my Crab is is a bit unorthodox since he his a melee Crab and maybe no optimal but I lie the bugger anyways. Can't wait to finish Purpling him out and enjoying all the little things.
But as for real love, Ghost Widow is mine! How dare folks disparage our torrid and undying romance by claiming elicit affairs with her...

Some of us are just masochistic perfectionist and that's why forming and leading a team is so painful. Are people waiting to long or am I going to fast? Is this mission to easy/hard? Should I talk more/less? Good/bad xp? Damn we wiped it's my fault etc. Etc. That's why I loathe doing it, and I know it's in my head and the times I have led PUGs the players have been easy going and enjoyable but still I get anxiety. So since I still want to enjoy this game I don't lead.
But am always glad to the folks who do and don't overanalyze things. For me, I've rarely had problems with a bad leader because for the most part the community is really good and just want to have fun. -

Shame...but I like hearing about and thank you greatly for mentioning it. Its better then thinking any Issue now I will get Proliferation when there is little chance of it. -
Do we really have to have an RP reason. For years I had this one Alt who I was disatisfied with because he was a bit more then Controller, less then a Blasted, and somewhat defensive who helped the team. So I made a Troller Mind/FF with leadership waiting to get to the APPs so he can be fully, if not rightly, made.
The Fortunatas arrived. Arrggg...everything I wanted but on the wrong side. So I sucked it up and made him a nemesis. But with side switching I can finally (hopefully) realize my vision and be completely happy. That's what Going Rogue is all about. Options. I'm very much looking forward to it. -
I've played all 4 type VEATs to 30, and all but Bane to 50. I love my Crab and Fort and have them heavily IO'd as I do my PB and WS. Of course it all comes down to opinion and so forth but Soloing each of them I found them all comparable with the slight difference that PB and WS, especially Tri-Form, Solo a bit faster and are a bit more survivable. A bit varies by enemy groups and levels, as some groups lower either HEAT or VEAT survivability, and level is a huge difference because when a Tri-Form passes +30 they out and out overpower the enemies faster then the VEATs. A Human only WS can pretty much maintain the difference while a Human only PB is slightly lease efficient. Still, Khelds Solo better then VEATs, and far, far better then Defenders on average.

Whaa...usually I'm a huge booster of Khelds, their my main and favorite AT but even I can't stand for this statement. For one, I don't back the Khelds doing more for an 8 man team then the VEATs. Two there is now way a Kheld is worse soloing then a Defender even Pre-I13. Veats just got more with their Leadership, pets, buffs/debuffs then the Khelds, who really don't give much to the team other then another hammer to hit the enemy. As for soloing, you'd be calling up an optimum build Defender and even then if the Khelds at worst are comparable I would be straight dumbfounded. -
Group Energy Flight is truly useless as is. It either needs a buff or to be gotten rid of entirely.
We should get access to the Power Pools we don't have period. VEATs get Leadership like powers and can get Leadership powers to boot. Having the equivalent of some of these Travel Powers such as Shadow Step and Shadow Recall should give us access at the appropriate level to the Team Teleport. PBs having Flight should give us access to Air Superiority and blank at what we already have. Plus my other gripe is that they've been changing the Pool versions of powers but not the Kheld equivalents, like Phase Shift/Nebulous Form or Hover+Flight/Combat Flight+Energy Flight, leaving us with AT powers inferior to the Pools. Above all please they should fix that.
If they were to give us some kind of APP, which I don't think is necessary but in consderation of VEATs getting PPP, thy should give us some minor buffs/debuffs to cover the jack of all trades hole Khelds do have, and that's not having any support (except for Glowing Hands[sic]). Something keepin in theme of these energy beings, like a lesser Recovery Aura for PBs and a Transferance for WS. But again I just don't see it as necessary. Khelds get a lot of powers, even without Forms. With Forms they don't have a lot of slots to be able to handle more powers. Lastly, while the argument that VEATs get PPPs can be made, for the most part the extra powers they get don't address any holes and are in fact superflous to the ones they already possess.
Ok, so if I was going to replace Group Energy Flight, keeping it in theme with a Kheld as an energy being, keeping it in power terms with something that adds a new personal dimension equivalent to Shadow Cloak yet limiting to overall performance as it and Group Energy Flight does. Hmm. Tough to think. Maybe a Smoke Grenade type power based on blinding like Flash Arrow does? A longer recharge Group Invisibility? Something I guess along those lines, a thing that not everyone will hop on because it's so cool but will still make a difference no matter how minimal. Maybe not exciting but still light years better then GEF. I had it once, and I quickly respeced out of it for lack of anything to do with it. Except maybe Hami Raids. And even then barely. -
I can list two quasi scenarios, and one is already in the game. See people often confuse ultimate goals with win/loss when it comes to villainy. Are the good guys measured by such circumstances. Take Dr. Doom, his ultimate goal is to either rule the world or eliminate Reed Richards, happily both if he could. Batmans ultimate goal is to clean up Gotham and avenge injustice. Now Doom and Bats may be able to accomplish the likelier goals of killing Reed or cleaning Gotham of crime, but it won't happen where it sticks becuse we lose pathos. They could accomplish the other goals of conquering the world or avenging all injustice, but these are pie in the sky type goals that if it happened, well it wouldn't make for that interesting a world.
So were not looking at villain would achieve their goal, but more will they be outright succesful in their field and have a chance. Dr. Doom rules Latervia (barring recent stuff), is considered a foremost world leader/terror, and at any moment seems capable and it be possible for him to actually achieve his ultimate goal. Other villains grudgingly respect him, fear him or just want to be him. He's a succesful villain. Sure he has the losuiest track record of villainy in Marvel, but he's rich, famous, owns his own country and people, and a bad [censored]. That's a succesful villain.
Lord Recluse fits the same bill. He owns an island. Has a huge organization under him. Villains respect, fear, envy and loathe him. At any moment he seems poised to accomplish his ultimate ambitions. Sure a destined one threatens him, he failed at power because a group of up and comers beat him when they destroyed his power gathering towers, but at the end of the day he has more personal and political power then any in this world. Succesful villainy.
Now if you wanted to translate that in game for the players, well it's a little tricky but possible. The easiest thing first is to not have the 3rd teir villains bad mouth you at 50. Sure the Patrons look down on you at first, but you yeah them and the big man himself. Why are you recieving lip from sidekicks like Barracuda and Ice Mistral? Oh they don't have to fear my red side 50, but treat me like the threat Im supposed to be.
Another possible method is have a signature Hero, not one of the 8 though, die at out hands. I mean in cannon, say BLANK died to mysterious villain making their mark. The villain need not be named (it's you and your buddies) but give us a badge and have story arcs allude to it by throwing us respect or coming at us for vengeance. I mean look at other TFs, we as players stop Hero1 during the LGTF. Oh sure it could have been any and every player, but canon has us unamed people doing it. Same could he done with death of a signature.
There are many more ways to treat villains like the menaces they should be, wihout having us attain ultimate goals. Once in awhile acknowledge we got one over on someone else. Arc wise I've only seen it happen in Willy Wheeler and Recluse, otherwise it's my red wider that's been used, duped, or bullied to stand down. The mystic maguffin device Im stealing for someone else. Have my red sider know what the power is for once and take it from all parties, screw them since my red sider did the work. Let me run into an organization and defeat it's leader, giving me a temp power that has 1 enemy faction at a time ignore my presence (unless I attack them) because I'm now there defacto leader, or I'm just hat bad [censored].
I could go on. All I'm saying is when you hit 40's your doing mission for contacts that have you operating as exterminators to city basement pests, burning books in orphanges, being used as a thug assassin and then being told to go away like a good boy, or steal x precious to give to y over yonder when I could use said precious all my own but am too stupid/thuggish. One contact got me taking down stuff for his lab experiments gone wrong, while an electronic device whispers to me stuff to get his own plans going.
All these arcs have this bumbling stooge thug merc mentality going for it, but I'm on my way to 50! Check blue side, where yes they have their share of gopher or wonky explored missions, but then they also fight dimensional invaders, handle world scale threatening problems and are called heroes with respect rather then from the sides of peoples mouths. Don't get me wrong, I love those burn books for orphanges missions and such, but for some alts. Others want to be world crushing, or at least organization ruling power houses in their own right. Script it right and have the proper dialogue, and I can truly feel like a villain, even if I just lost another one to that caped crusader -
I don't know Chrome_Family, the idea of raising NPC xp in PvP to attract the farmers sound pretty cool to me, and I occasionally farm and PvP. So if it keeps people from being annoyed in their PvE zones (though I farm only with pals) I'm cool with the idea.

I see the problem pretty bad in Freedom. I play other servers and go through things ok, but when I went to Freedom for the 1st time since MA dropped, I was shocked. Not saying there weren't legitimate non farming teams in Atlas and Cap, just saying that's where the big party was at.
Maybe it's because MA is the new thing, maybe not. But the problem, if it is one to folks, seems less so on other servers -

Thanks for the fun folks. If it's like this every week then I have time right before work to join in again. I only stay away because 11pm is my cut off pony but tonight we were suitably under that.

Heh, oh well I obviously missed the Saturday. As for today, I really forgot it was Memorial Day weekend so I can't be on today either. As it stands, I think its better if I bow out from this point on, summers are my busiest work time so I see to many absences coming for it to be fair.

Purple out an opposite faction one of course. Or go around having fun breeding through certain missions like I do. TF's are a lot more enjoyable in certain ways.

I've wanted a CoV WS for so long and now soon I'll have it. Oh sure I lose my lv 35 on my all Kheld SG, but c'mon certain powers scream villainous intent.

But since this is the Internet and news is always disected regardless of actual details, then I figure it's probably going to happen the way you stated it. -
