I'd like to think I'm a humble man. I work in a grocery store with a man whose official title is 'Melon Psychic', I can juggle knives, and I'm currently in the process of writing binary programs that will likely develop malevolent sentience. I'm a humble man.
I'd like to request that NPCs.... Citizens, enemies, whatever you call them, have SOME interaction with the environment beyond standing around the stores and venues.
For example: Have NPCs exit and enter the tram as the train departs and arrives at the station. Have NPCs walk into shops to look around, and occasionally walk over to the counter to 'buy' things. Have NPCs limp or slump into a hospital and have several walking out.
These little bits of interaction would, in my ever-so-humble opinion, make me feel like there's some connection between NPCs and their environment, rather than feeling like they were just dropped from orbit and told to meander around until the Rikti came.
Expanding on the idea:
If you had enemies walking into shops, they could perhaps rob/hijack the public venues and make them unusable to the playerbase while under their control. A small group of Minions, a few Lieutenants, and a single Boss, nothing a single player couldn't handle with a bit of difficulty. Stores cannot be used to make purchases, this includes Tailors, Hospitals cannot used for respawning (alternate spawn points would be included), and trams cannot be used for departure.
These takeovers wouldn't happen often, and after say, an hour, the PPD would settle the disputes by force, ensuring that the entire city isn't taken over. -

I take Acrobatics for the Hold/Knockback Protection, even if it doesn't fit with a good number of my characters.
As soon as Power Customization is expanded to Power Pools to include a No FX option to Acrobatics, then SURE! Go for it! -
Quote:Not a terrible argument, because they CAN choose Dark as Primary and/or Secondary. Do you require it? No, but you can, and then it gives you the theme of really mastering Darkness.Terrible arguement.
I say that because you can select Dark Mastery without having either the Dark primary or the dark secondary.
With Pistols? There's no primary or anything related to it.
I'm not AGAINST the idea, but it's just something that needs to be thought about, even for a moment. -
/meh
First work on Fire Mastery. Secondly, how exactly would Pistol Mastery work if they have no pistols to choose from?
Yes, you don't need pistols to be Munitions, but hear me out here; Ancillary Power Pools cater to 'master' things that are already there:
Weapon Mastery: Katana, Broadsword, Claws, Dual Blades
Body Mastery: Martial Arts, Spines
Dark Mastery: Dark Melee
I'm not against the idea, but try to remember that the APPs are made to try to 'fit' with the theme. -
This game caters enough to casual players. Enhancements are a major part of the game, and to see it watered down any further would be pitiful.
-
I'd recommend a Scrapper, or a Blaster; something that's solo-oriented from the get-go.
-
I'm gonna list off my main characters:
Sigium: Chaotic Neutral
Heretyk: Neutral Evil
Arescris: Neutral Good
Dreadnaght: Lawful Neutral
Methalayas: True Neutral
Sabbathe: Chaotic Evil
Symmachus: Lawful Good
Damien Pepper: Chaotic Good
Jaero: Lawful Neutral
Harpie Pepper: Chaotic Neutral
Of course, no one can completely fit into these categories, there's room to move around a small bit, but that's just the general. -
Give my Henchmen Ninja Run and I'll call it even.
-
Expect to be flamed on this one. People love their origins having NOTHING to do with their character/playstyle.
Me? I'd like the Origin to tie into the tutorial... Depending on Origin you'd have a different tutorial set in a different but small zone. -
Things I would pay for:
Smoother polygons
More animations for power customization
More zones
Better graphics (We'll be getting these soon enough)
Booster packs I'd pay for:
Dance Superstars
- Includes:
-- Michael Jackson hairstyles, clothing.
-- Moonwalk dance
-- Liquid dancing (youtube it)
-- Napoleon Dynamite dance
-- Generic boyband dancing
-- 'Groove' Booster Power: For a solid minute or so, every power you use will speed up the recharge of all powers by a very small percent.
Rock Legends
- Includes:
-- Metalicious hairstyles and facial hair
-- Guitar/Bass skins for weapons
-- Hardcore leather jackets and pants
-- Options for facial piercings
-- Headbang emote
-- Air Guitar emote
-- Air Mic emote
-- Air Drums emote
-- Guitarplay emote
-- Metalsing emote
-- Drumsplay emote
Yes, I like me some emotes, folks. -
Quote:1. And how do you know you'd have fun with these sets? Are you psychic and can predict the future of hypotheses? Have you consulted the oracles of Scrapper/Blasterdom on the issue? In fact, I'd think that some of these AT ideas are downright annoying. What are you guys talking about? You trying to say I've got a closed mind or something? I've tried all the ATs including Epic ATs both villain and heroside. I have a level 47 ice/storm controller who's fun on teams but not as much fun to solo. I have a level 40 mastermind and a level 50 brute. I had to run the brute to 50 mostly solo because I couldn't stand teams stealing my fury. I quit my Peacebringer at level 35 and my rad/rad defender at level 32. And a level 31 corruptor.
I'm saying I want more AT choices because I've tried them all already and I strongly prefer blasters and scrappers. If you like all the ATs then great. But I don't. I'd lke some new choices.
2. I have fun with the ATs that are already in the game, and between the GR expansion that will essentially allow Stalkers for Heroes Scrappers for Villains, etc, I say that we don't need any more ATs.
3. You're ALWAYS getting new choices. Shield Defense? Willpower? Dual Blades? All of these things are... Guess what? Power sets that you could use for your Scrapper! And for your Blaster? Psychic? Radiation? Have you tried playing any OTHER sets to 50 of a single AT, or do you think that one single set covers the entire Archetype? -

I'm sorry, but I'm just tired of games where the boss wears a massive sign that says 'Poke me here to kill me/render me defenseless'. This is especially popular in Zelda games.
Giant Monsters don't need any possibility of being debuffed, players have an easy enough time with them as it is. -
Let it be known that I love this game because of how well our devs communicate with us, even in small doses like this.
As for alternative running/standing? BABs, I don't expect powers to work easily... I'm sure your job revolves a lot around Murphy's Law being that nothing is easy, but I truly hope that we can look at Ninja Run as the beginning of something incredible. -
Quote:I made it this far.I hope that you developers are considering or better yet working on some new ATs for this game. The only ATs I really like are scrappers and blasters, and
I love Scrappers, not so much Blasters, but I love a lot of other ATs. You not liking ATs isn't the dev's problem. -
This is a very small QoL issue that I'm sure would break the very fabrics of time and require the devs to spend 100+ hours of backbreaking labor mining data in the jungles of Cyber-African data mines, and that the implementation of this idea, or even postulating that it would work would tear a hole in the universe and suck out everything you know and love, including kittens.
That being said,
I'd like to see people simply getting on and getting off the tram. Just the occasional person or two, depending on the zone you're in. I could see Talos having at most 3-4 people walking off while IP would have 2-3, Croatoa would have a single, rare passerby, Founders would have a few, etc.
Why? Because the tram is paramount to Paragon City... It's the reason people don't drive many cars, I figure.
So, whaddya say? A few people stepping on/off the terminal? I don't see this causing too much frustration, seeing as how the to/from terminals are in different places.
Edit: And now, two signs will be placed on the tram:
"DEPARTING" on the tram that will actually take you to the difference places, and two signs on the tram where you arrive into: "ARRIVALS" posted over the station, and a large "NO ENTRY" sign over the entrance to the nook. -

Dominic Deegan!
*fangirl squeel*
Bill, you've found my weakness... I've followed that comic since, damn, 2004? Always been a major fan.
Yes, it IS shield charge. I recommend the devs read the comic so they might find some ideas to give us some new stuff. -
/signed for more enemy customization.

Quote:/signedI would really love to see more options for the color choices in cold domination and ice blast sets. My dark blast character by comparison has the full rainbow for color choices yet my poor ice blast toon is limited to the color choices found in Easter egg die kits.
I think the devs mentioned that brighter, more vibrant colors didn't looks so good.
My vote? Who cares? Gimme! -
Quote:Don't get me started on the Skull Mask in the magic booster set. I was looking around for no less than 10 minutes trying to find it in the Mask section only to realize... It wasn't a mask! It was a mask that wasn't!I know what you mean by that, when I brought the new Martial Arts booster I was having trouble finding the pre-made set for it in the dropdowns. It took a little while but I found it near the end of the list.
When you find the pre-made costume for the set all you need to do is look for the common name of the parts used, as well as the alternate styles. For instance Martial Arts has two common part names 'Warrior' and 'Tai', if you look for those names in the list you'll know they're part of the booster.
But they're not always as clear as that I admit, and not everybody is knowledgeable about the complexity of the character creator as well. It would help if they let players know the names and creator locations of all the pieces. Like how the Oni guard face piece is located as 'Detail 2' on the head. That was the hardest piece to find for me. -
In all seriousness, my most 'disturbing' characters?
As a personal 'group' I made 'The Riders'. They don't have proper names, so I'll just give the names I wanted:
War: An anomaly, War was found in the center of a smoking crater in the aftermath of an IED in Iraq. Scars are present throughout her body, but all of them seem healed and uninfected, including those on her face. As soon as she was found, she was immediately demanding to be sent into the war once again.
The strange aspect of War is that she has the uncanny ability to recall every war throughout History. From the Macedonians, to the Civil War, to Vietnam, she can give startling detail from so many perspectives that it's hard to believe she hasn't lived through them.
Pestilence: Pestilence is the slum lord over the streetwalkers of his own district in a town best left forgotten. The flies buzzing around him are often attributed to his foul odor, but anyone who ever inflicted a wound in him have learned that the bugs aren't only on the outside, but crawling through his innards.
His misogyny, however, is perhaps the most terrifying aspect of his behavior. Whenever his harlots fail to impress their 'clients', he has no qualms with disciplining them by mutilation, or even amputation. It's not uncommon to see some of his workers missing a leg, or a hand, or those who have had their teeth pulled out.
Famine: Famine is the ruler of his own district of the city known as 'Crippletown'. What might've been a prosperous place was reduced to a slum, filled with junkies and addicts far too strung out to do anything but crawl around, looking for their next fix. Where they look for this fix, Famine is there to provide them with it... For a price.
What makes Famine strange is his completely unpredictability. Slipping in and out of intoxication from the horrendous mixture of painkillers, hallucinogens, and anesthetics he often has lapses of stability. When Famine is out of his haze, he presents relative diplomacy, and when not? He enjoys stabbing people with his syringes filled with his poison.
Death: Death is another ruler of a district, if it can still be called such a thing. No one knows quite how it happened, but Death unleashed his power over a large neighborhood of innocents and turned it into a silent, still ghost town. Filled with skeletons posed in their last moments, and an eternally darkened sky, Death presides over his own personal sanctuary of silence.
Not exactly the most disturbing people out there, but I didn't make them for creep factor. -
Isla de los Muertos. >.>
There! Shameless self-promotion of ideas! D: -
Quote:This.Well, the pack is built around a NINJA theme, and as the power is called NINJA RUN.
I'm not sure what your complaint is?
"Well sure, the set is called FIRE BLAST and I guess it does a good job of looking FIERY, but still..."
Of course it's going to be an exaggerated version of what people think of when they think 'Ninja'... It's a comic book-based game. -
/No
Imagine the gimping of trying to solo with Stone/Ice Armor? You'd have little to no damage output.
Coincidentally... Any/Any Controller Primary.
What about Stalkers? They RELY on their secondary's first power.
