Quote:I'm not entirely certain why but my first thought was of an Alley Vyper.Hmmm? I sadly have only a vague knowledge of GI-Joe. Some friends of mine were big fans growing up, but for some reason I could never actually catch the show. I was more into Transformers and TMNT.
Did I inadvertently do a similar costume to someone? That'd be kind of weird, depending. -
BaB has said he believed it's possible, through power customization, to give non-weapon sets a weapon. It therefor seems reasonable to think that it's possible for the alternate animations to call a different weapon than the primary animation.
One problem would be that BaB also said weapon customization with alt-weapon animation mentioned above was unlikely. Perhaps a solution would be to set up trick shot to use a default weapon which can be overridden by the weapon picked for its paired set (I'm not entirely sure but this may be how mace mastery for banes works) . -
Quote:Unless something has changed while I wasn't paying attention the mission in question is not used to farm those badges. Only Scratch's first mission will spawn the needed Mobs and the OP was talking about Ganymede's second mission. This is why it was a jerkish thing to do right here.
Hube02, since you're a new player I'm not holding it against you for not knowing this. But the valentine's event is the ONLY time during the year that heroes can get certain badges. If you don't get the badges while the event is going on you must wait another YEAR to get them. It is impossible to get those badges in one run through of the mission.
By running ahead and completing the mission, you may very well have screwed 7 players out of badges they wanted to get.
In most instances what you did wouldn't have been that big a deal. In this particular case it kind of is, because you forced those players to find someone else with the mission. Since each character can only run the mission once, the person whose mission it was now has to tag along with other people to get those badges, because they can't do it by themselves anymore.
THAT'S why you caught so much flak for it. -
Maybe we'll get the mail system they mentioned at hero-con.

Quote:Coldblooded/Coldhearted is 100 hordelings or hellfrosts. As I understand it the only time Heroes can earn this badge is right now, during the "Spring Fling".
If I'm getting this correct, to get Coldblooded, we need a 20-25 villain to start Scratch's mission in order to spawn Hordelings (100), and a 25-45 villain to spawn Succibi or Hellfrosts (50) to get Weed Whacker.

Quote:15-24 is too high for good numbers of Hordelings. The best range is 8-13, as that's when they spawn at the most plentiful rank, Minions, and before their places get taken over by Spectrals. The ones that spawn in the range that you are set at are Lieutenants and Bosses, which explains the lower numbers.
Since there's suppose to be a reward for characters that stay their original alignment some characters will still want to use the valentines event to get these badges. -
Quote:The Prestige Power Slide came in the CoH collector's edition and as a paid for extra will never be given away free.Namely, Prestige Power Slide. I want it for one of my characters (which may lead to more, but what the hey?), but I have little to no chance of making it to HeroCon to get it.
I know that the PP sprints are accessible after one year as a Vet reward, so the PP Slide could be added to the system as a later reward, or something like that.
Thoughts? Or is it a hopeless dream? I await your answers. -

The Hero-con thread still has links to galleries, I think Fuzun's has the info you want.

I've had this one in my collection for a while:
-
The last word we had on this was from BaB a few weeks back.
Quote:Quote:The problem with that is new code, not new animations. You are talking about adding a weapon to non-weapon powers, which will also require drawing that weapon. Adding that option may or may not be easily doable.
Adding customizeable weapons to power customization is another story. -
Quote:Maybe I'm miss remembering but I always recall Arther calling The Tick just Tick when talking directly to him.Uh... not The Tick. He is referred to, to his face, as The Tick repeatedly, often, and pretty much every time. We're talking about comic book characters, not real life people, so grammar often takes a backseat to "who the F cares, this is a comic book".
Quote:Yeah well I can name my character "Sentence Fragment" which is a sentence fragment, so I don't think they had proper grammar in mind here.
That's a case of talking about The Shadow, not to him and it would be grammaticly correct to use the article. -
As far as I recall its grammatically incorrect to use the article when addressing the individual directly.

I don't know if it was a bug or something but I've had the vines stop re-spawning. My team was hell bent on finishing it and we just kept killing them and we noticed that after a really long time their spawn number stopped going all the way to what it had started at. We continued killing them and the max they'd respawn to kept going down, but like I said, it took a very long time and I think we were in there for an extra hour or 2, maybe more.

For starters you can't have more than one power on auto. If I miss understood, and what you meant is that you wanted to rotate which of the 2 powers is on auto then I believe you'll have to create 2 bind files, which load each other

Quote:Did you actually pay for the "Friend" account or just attach a credit card to it? As I understand it, with the Invite a friend, the "Friend" should have gotten an immediate free month after you give them your information for future billing. If you attach a card to the account, it wont be charge until the end of the free month, at which time the original account would be credited with the free time.I
Now, I've never done this before, so I don't know how it works. I assumed that as soon as I paid for the game with the "Friend" account, I would get credit on the first account, but does the "Friend" account have to pay for another month after the first "free" month is up? Or do I just not know where to look for the one month credit on my main/first account. -

Quote:According to one of the Hero-con podcast, a mail system is coming.Just a suggestion a few others and my self have been talking about. We think there should be a way to transfer items and influence between characters on an account without having to trade with some one and then switching to the next and trading back the items or influence. Each time this happens, we take a chance on someone taking what we trade them and not giving it back. Is there any easier way to do that yet, or is that going to be the only way? Maybe it could be an option in a new booster pack. Thanks.

Quote:Also check out this thread for a way to hide toggle powers.interesting idea, i think its funny when he buffs stretch across the screen, but if you dont want that, then you could try:
- hiding auto powers (this usually cuts down the amount of icons to only applied buffs or self-ativated powers)
- and/or change the stacking of the icons to be nmbered instead of default (this will just add a little number saying how many of the buff is applied to keep things like FS down and also help shrink this down alttle bit)
-
I may be wrong but I believe that's actually due to the Tsoo "katana's" hilt being too short to be used with Katana's 2 handed grip.

Quote:"Keep your metal mitts off his Granddaughter! No ones is really sure whats up with the two of them. Do you really wanna be the guy to lift up that rock?"They probably wont touch it with a ten foot pole. I know the comics avoided that issue like the plague!
Not sure I'd call making an allusions to the relationship "avoiding it like the plague." -
While the devs have basically ruled out a level cap increase, more enhancement slots and more powers, they have indicated Going Rogue will include a form of post 50 advancement and that the endgame content would be harder then current content, requiring the use of said advancement. So while I trust the Devs to get it right, it my be to early to rule out the OP's concerns.

Quote:sorry I deleted, thinking I wasn't really adding anything to the discussion.there are some exceptions to the exemp/mal such as purples and certain procs (i know the devastation chance to hold proc works regardless how many lvls i exemp)
Purples are an exception and I've heard PvP IOs are too, but Procs aren't set bonuses and they function differently. -
If I remember right, when the trigger was introduced, the theory was 13%.
