Quote:I'm not sure there's actually much further up in the ranks anyone can go after Marshal.Marshall Brass.
I'd like to know what he's potentially hiding, and why he hasn't moved further up in the ranks.
Though on that note it would be nice to see more on all of the Marshals (Jason Blitz, Leon Brass, Gerald, Mayhem, etc.). -
Quote:It's a picture of the model used in the City of Hero Trailer made for the Korean release.Well that explains why i havent seen him lol
Perhaps a Going Rogue thing? or has he been there way before that?
And I think just about everyone whos come to suggest powers at some point has asked for a sword and gun lol. I think maybe the jacket would need reworking in the actual game, no idea where that picture came from it was just on cohwiki. Trenchcoats cant wrap around the charecter it was said because of the engine, so it has to be a buttcape deal. -
The higher price version coming out at a GR release is the Complete Edition, not a collectors edition.

During the Pax Q&A (which can be found here) Posi mentioned something about re-purposing the Items of Power and Cathedral of Pain into something not as broken. No time table was given.

If you mean the guy in red, white and black with the Rikti sword, that's doesn't seem to be a helmet, rather a Mask with Hair option.

Just so everyone is on the same page, from Manticore's Lore Thread:
Quote:Question: What is the connection between Romulus of Cimerora and Romulus the warshade?
Answer: Romulus the Warshade and Romulus Augustus of Cimerora have no connection. If some trick of time travel were to bring them together, they would surely be enemie -
Interestingly, when he was talking about the rewards from the incarnate system, Positron seems to make a distiction between our character and alts. Perhaps the number of characters we can run through it will be limited.

Quote:From Manticore's lore Q&A:Then there's the whole Maria Jenkins thing... read her bio some time. Makes you wonder just what their relationship was like...

Quote:Question: Can we have more details about Maria Jenkins aka Madame Danger and her connection to Statesman?
Answer: Madame Danger was not Statesmans sidekick but she was his closest friend for many years in part *because* she was in no way involved with the Freedom Phalanx and for the most part stayed out of the public eye. Since she was not involved in Statesmans day to day adventures and misadventures she was able to provide a different perspective.
She and Statesman worked several cases together when their investigations crossed paths. Although he always considered her an equal partner in these matters, Statesman often got the lions share of the acclaim at her request. Remaining relatively obscure was the primary reason Maria was able to retire Madame Danger so easily. Statesman always respected her desire for privacy and as a side effect it afforded him a place to talk things over with someone he trusted out of the spotlight. -
Quote:Yes it is.Umm... isn't the Praetorian Clockwork parts one of the advertised features with GR? We may have to unlock the pieces, but they'll be available.

If I remember right, putting emote none at the front should pop you out of combat stance and allow the emote you want to play.

I don't know if it makes any difference but the leaping pool icons didn't have the same problem for me.

True, but then neither is "because I think they should" which is basically what the pro argument boils down to. What proof is there that the current space is insufficient, or that increasing it by some arbitrary amount will make it sufficient?

If they aren't willing to copy each weapon and attach the aura effects we want they certainly aren't going to redo every weapon set power's Virtual FX several times. And even if they would do that, we'd have an aura that doesn't match up to the shape of the weapon (check out buildup for how that looks).

I just tested this and a string of 2 costume change commands (both cc and cce) will switch you between the 2 costumes since trying to change into the costume you are already in wont trip the timer.

Quote:There's no way of telling whether sound customization would be more, less or the same amount of work as power customization, but it's more of a question of priority than anything else and I just don't see them making it a priority in the near future.I don't see how hard it would be to implement. I mean, they made powertinting work, and that was hardcoded, and a lot more code than it would be to tweak the voices, I would expect.
Granted, I've never picked at the actual codebase, so I dunno for sure. I'm just going on my experience as someone training for exactly that job. ^^; -
Doubt it'll happen anytime soon if ever but I'd love to have it.

Quote:Since we know we're getting a system that will determine what percent of the mobs are left on the map (last 10% will show up on the map is coming in i17 I believe) perhaps they can also add bonus merits for percent of map cleared.I would agree that difficulty settings could and should award bonus merits, but nothing over the top. How about 1 merit for each additional setting?
+1 level = 1 merit
+4 levels = 4 merits
+time limit = 1 merit
+debuff players = 1 merit
no deaths = 1 merit
no temps = 1 merit
Etc.
So a Master Run would generally give two more merits than normal, unless you added other challenges. So if you did a Master Run, + 4 levels, with players debuffed and Critters buffed you would get +8 merits added to your normal bonus.
I don't think that is overly generous and it wouldn't require a concommitant penalty for failing the challenge. Hell, if you can do a +4 Master Run buffed/debuffed you probably deserve more than 8, but I wanted to keep it simple and not go overboard.
Maybe the time limit is too easy for a merit though. -
My only thought is that if you were logged into the game when you applied the the code you will need to restart CoH before it will take effect. Other then that, send a petition in game and support should be able to sort it out for you.

Quote:Right click the icon you click on to bring up the CoH updater and select properties. Add -maxfps 35 -maxinactivefps 5 to the end of the Target line.I'm trying to increase my crappy pc's performance for the game.
Found this thread, tried the /maxfps # and didnt' notice much of a change.
How do I change the "E:\Program Files\City of Heroes\CohUpdater.exe" -maxfps 35 -maxinactivefps 5 thinger? or maybe where is a better answer.
I got to program files\city of heroes ...but couldn't figure out how to change it.
Thanks in advance!

I swear I did but apparently it didn't stick. Though I do think I was going more as a building off your skepticism of his post, but things get muddled sometimes.
Quote:Like I suggested...a different mechanic is involved. -

Quote:I may be wrong, but i believe you are thinking of Super Speed, which has been said to be near the server processing cap.Rebuttal:
Actually, I believe Castle has previously mentioned that allowing Fly to go very much faster would cause issues with server performance. I could be misremembering, but if my memory is correct then no, they could not allow Fly to go 75 mph, and letting it get that fast would make the servers crash and burn. -

Yes, via slash commands, might aslo be able to do it through the menu but I'm not sure.
Edit: apparently any value from 1-999 will work and 0 turns of the limiter.
