Was one of your teammates a Gravy? My first Gravy character recently picked up Singularity. I noticed that during AV fights, sometimes Singy would close up on the AV and be nose to nose with it (or nose to butt if there someone Tanking the AV
). Of course, Singy has Repel on always, so the Repel was constantly trying to bounce the AV away, but AVs are immune to knockback. The repeated Repel sound effect sounded very much like a looping sound crash that was prevalent many years ago, of which I had experienced many times.

Dr Q doesn't have an AV, so you don't really need a lot of debuffs. Group buffs would be more helpful. Other than Rularuu, which you'll mostly fight during the numerous early hunts, you'll be dealing with enemies you're already familiar with.
Rularuu have only 2 serious gimmicks: you can't sneak past the eyeballs and just about every one of them has a hold. So if you can get someone with Clear Mind, Clarity, O2 Boost, Thaw, Enforced Moral, Antidote, or even Stimulant who is good about using their power preemptively, all your team mates without anti-mez armor will be more effective.
What you want is that everyone is available to toss out their AOEs. Lots of AOEs is what makes the missions go faster. Of course, having a Kinecticsist along is always nice.
Don't leave home without your O-portal.
Remember, if the mission is close to the wormhole to the next Shard Zone, you can jump off your island to auto-tp back to the starter island, then take the swirly portal back to the FBZ base where you take the direct portal to that next Shard Zone, so you can turn around and jump into the wormhole to bring you back closer to where your mission is -- this assumes your multiple zoning time is faster than you can fly. -
Quote:That's what I'm saying, if I'm flying away and I cast Temporal Mending, I stop to animate spreading my arms.(Generally it seems that if you activate the power (any AoE heal) while standing still it will not let you move until it's finished animating, but if you activate it while moving it won't root you.)
Edit:
WTH?!! I went in game to test it again so I don't sound stupid, and I'm not rooting. -
The few times I've done the Dr Kane Trial, nobody bothered to tank the Abomination. Everyone just scattered to the tomb stones areas after talking to Dr Kane to start the timer. Just stand still for 2 secs and a couple of zombies will pop up. I have noticed that Abomination seems to have it in for me no matter which character I go in with. I'm the one he likes to chase around, so in between zombies, I lead him around the map. He's got massive range with that lightning blast of his.

When Thermal Radiation first came out, its aura heal Warmth rooted. However, that was changed a while ago when the reasons for rooting were standardized for the game.
So what's the reason behind the rooting for Time Manipulation's Temporal Mending aura heal? I don't see any offensive aspects with it like a foe debuff. -
If you play steadily, you can accrue prestige pretty quickly. Especially nowadays with Rent being negligible.

If you're willing to convert Inf to Prestige, Fulmens will match it.

Based on my recent runs of Dr Q, 3.5 hours is very doable.
Having multiple methods for instant zone teleports (O-portal, Pocket D, mission tp, etc) has cut down on the time for the few missions that detours into the City. However, the biggest difference between then and now is that a lot of players have been conditioned to play in "speed run" mode, so game play is generally faster and they're more prepared for solo survivability. That is, they'll be self-buffed with set bonuses and their AOEs will be maxed, and they can't wait to show off. Gone are they days where the first trap intersection in the first cave mission will wipe the whole team and half will immediately quit.
Note: Dr Q maxes out at level 44, so no Incarnate powers. -
The preview shows 9 pages of his book which only totals 24 pages. Hmmm.

Quote:A couple of things I have never been clear on:only one person on each team needs to set the bomb. Everyone on the team gets credit and can't set another one until the cool down period expires.
1) Say, I'm on a team who had a bomb set. At some point after which, I disconnect. When I come back, I notice an unclaimed bomb. If I haven't joined another team yet, can I set the bomb.
2) Or what if, after a bomb had been set for the team, someone disconnects. If If a new player is added to the team, one who personally has not been involved with setting a bomb or had been teamed with a set bomb, can this new person immediately set another bomb? -
Quote:Just a clarification question:In subscription mode, prior to f2p, I had a good many characters spread over four servers. I also have a second account for my wife with fewer characters over the same four servers. A few days ago I chose to pay for both to revert to VIP so I could go in and review each character, and transfer any inf and goodies from those I am willing to delete to those I will keep. I did this using two computers with both accounts open on the same servers so I could pass stuff and eventually accumulate it on characters I will keep. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough. I couldn't quite get down to the number of slots I was allowed as Premium - 7 global on one account and 4 on the other.
Do you know that you can email items and Inf to yourself and others now? You just email to your @global name and then you can pick it up with any of your characters. -
While pretending to be stressed out at having to make such a decision, get in on some hot and heavy sympathy sex with the time traveler.

Yeah. On some high level teams sometimes you really do have to make an effort to run ahead to be the first to engage the next group regardless of your archetype. Otherwise you won't have a chance to use your powers in a meaningful way before your teammate's AOEs annihilate the spawn group.

The one recurring dream I had for a while when I was younger (high school-ish, I think) involved tossing a large object back and forth with someone across a chasm . I don't recall now if this other person had an identity, we never communicated. The object was boulder-like and both the tosses and catches were double-handed overhead. The thing about the object is that it increased in size with every toss so eventually it filled the sky. Now, while the object was weighty, its weight was not a concern and both of us could catch and toss it easily using a little bit of umph. Even when the object got to be titanic in size, both of us could still fling it very high in to the air. The only factors in my mind (for the dream) was anticipating the (very soon) very large falling object and estimating and managing the balance on the catch, for example I might have to briefly support it with my head for a 3 point catch or chest to correcting a fumble. No fumble ever occurred during the several dreams. The dreams usually end when the object gets so big that it was too fantastical to seem real anymore and I stop participating. The object never lands.
Note: while I said that in my dreams that the only thing I was only concerned about was the mechanics of catches, however the actual vague primary purpose of this activity was really the tosses. On my later dreams, I did ponder during the dream if there was a reason for tossing this object back and forth, but it was never resolved. -

This is essentially what I was going to mention: be sure that you have slotted at least 2 of the best accuracy enhancements you can get a hold of on every power that needs to hit.
-
Yup. It goes relatively fast now that I can have /auctionhouse open while parked at a store. Last week I cleared out a lot of the Fear and Snipe recipes, especially the low levels ones, to bankroll my new characters.

Depending on what level your character is, it may be easier and/or more cost and time effective to just use your Second Build from a Trainer. You'd have to rebuy all your enhancements, but depending on whether you need to upgrade them anyway, it may not be an issue. If you need an Inf (Influence/Infamy/Information) hand out, there are several players offering such a service (free) at the Market board. For example: http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=270964
