Hey guys,

I' ve a short question.

Can I reset the power sets -slots and costume?

When yes, where and how does it work?

Thank you for the answers!

Greetings,

You can reset your power selections and slots by running special missions at lvls 24, 34, and 44 (those are minimums, not the only level when you can run them) and each will give you a Character Respec Token. You then type in /respec into the chat window and that will allow you to chose your powers/slots as if you were a level 1 character and work your way up to your current level.

There's also a second way to get respec tokens, but that involves either being subscribed to the game for a year and you'll receive one for free, or buying enough Paragon Points to purchase a Character Respec Token from the Paragon Market (currently set at 800 pts).

I guess there's also a third way to get one, as the game developers will occasionally hand one out to each character when a new Issue is released where a lot of powers are modified.

If you want to change (or completely reset) a costume, you can go to any trainer, and select the 2nd option from their list. Or, you can visit a store in the game (each zone has one now, I think) called Icon.

You cannot change the actual Primary or Secondary power selection you made at the start of the game, though. If you started off as a Shield Defense/Fire Melee tanker, you will always be a Shield Defense/Fire Melee tanker.

Not 100% sure what you mean, but if you're asking:

- Can I pick a different primary/secondary via a character respec - No. You can, however, pick different slotting and power pools (flight, leaping, etc.) You do this via using /respec, if you were here at the beginning of the issue, or by seeing Jack Wolfe in city hall in Atlas or Arbiter Lupin in Nerva (or... bah, the other guy, in Oakes.)

- Can I pick different slotting - yes. See above.

For both, you can also (after level 10) use a second build, which you "level up" just like you would from level 1. The two builds share nothing but primary/secondary/AT/Origin - enhancements are totally separate, for instance. (INF and such is character wide.) At level 50, when you have the Alpha slot unlocked, you have access to a third build.

- Costumes. You can always redo these at any trainer or Icon (atlas/steel/independence port/founders falls) or facemaker (cap/st martial.) You will have one slot at the beginning, unlocking three others (four as a VEAT) at level 20-30-40. (VEATs have a mission at 10 to do so.) One slot is unlockable by halloween salvage, which you turn into a specific NPC (Anna in Croatoa or Granny in Nerva, north of the natural store,) and five others are available for purchase in the store.

Clarification: you can type /respec to start a free respec the devs have handed out, but to start an "earned" respec from the respec trials, you need to see a contact. Heroside it's Jack Wolfe (now in Atlas). Villainside it's Arbiter Lupin in Nerva.

And if you are incredibly lucky, you can also get a Respec recipe as a drop. You can use Inf to create them, then type /respec to use them. If you have a freespec, you need to use it up first, they take the same slot and you can only have 1 at a time. If you are not lucky, you can buy a recipe on the Consignment House. If you have a lot of extra Inf.

This method also requires you have access to the Invention system and the Auction House. If you are Free/Premium without the necessary license, you can't use it.

Depending on what level your character is, it may be easier and/or more cost and time effective to just use your Second Build from a Trainer. You'd have to rebuy all your enhancements, but depending on whether you need to upgrade them anyway, it may not be an issue. If you need an Inf (Influence/Infamy/Information) hand out, there are several players offering such a service (free) at the Market board. And in Praetoria, there's a with on Tiberian Bluff in Imperial City that accepts Halloween salvage as well.

For respecs, there is also the Holiday respec that can be purchased with candy canes from the Candy Keeper when the Ski Chalet at Pocket D is open.
