It might take a while since they have to get past the Amnesty International and the International Commission on Human Rights people who are suing the Ninja/Traps, Thugs/Traps, and Mercenaries/Traps MMs.
  2. Thank you very much for the transcription.

The same way there are no Tsoo in Steel Canyon when they can be found everywhere in Steel Canyon. Although the larger groups are mostly to the central North and Northwest areas.
  4. Some typed defenses say "Absorbed" when they stop an attack because the rationale is that the attack hits and is absorbed or negated by your powers.
Defense and resistance are actually used in different parts of the combat mechanics and the difference between typed and positional defences is conceptual, not game mechanical.

The Clockwork King didn't actually die though. After Blue Steel smashed his original flesh body beyond repair he built the robotic body to protect and sustain his still living brain. Clockwork King is at least 21 by now. (Which does raise the point that Blue Steel, Mr. Law and Order, apparently beat a 14-16 year old kid nearly to death and left him to die. Admittedly an enormously powerful psychic kid, but still.)

Uh, not that i'd know anything about such matters. So this is just, um, pure speculation. <.<

    Moving on...
i actually like the general design of Yin's outfit. i'm not totally on board with some of the details, but overall i like it.

I didn't actually think Knives of Artemis had -Recharge, but I don't fight them very often. They do have Caltrops, which from what I remember is mainly a run speed slow.
Everything i read when the change was being tested and ever since it went live has indicated that pets are no longer affected by recharge rate changes. i haven't tested it personally, but i have read numerous posts by people who did. Of course that was some time ago since this isn't a recent change.

So I see this link on IGN and click it. The first comic will answer a question I've always had about a guy who uses a magnetically reinforced exoskeleton against the master of magnatism (I always figured Tony would be on the severe losing end of that battle but I digress)

However 9 covers down I see Thing versus what looks like a Colossus/Juggernaut hybrid?????????????????? Did Marvel really screw something up that bad or is this some one shot anomally (this collosnaut)?

Originally i wasn't going to buy any issues of this "event", but having seen this article... Definitely not buying them. Although, the Elasti-Spider-Woman versus Cajun Gum(bo)-Man match up could be interesting. Except that i'm pretty sure they won't actually have Plastic Man's stretching powers in the comic.
  11. This is my evaluation of the desirability of various archetypes on teams, and is based on my personal opinions and experiences. As such it should be taken with both a grain of salt and a middling sized salt cellar.

Any and all ATs when played by unpleasant and/or incompetent players: Low.

Any and all ATs when played by entertaining and/or highly skilled players: High.

Any and all ATs when played by players who are not especially good or bad: Medium, depending on team composition and ratio/presence of previous two categories.

    That's pretty much it.

In an ideal world the above text would've been the actual post.

i rate it 2.3 allosaurus bunions.
  13. i've pretty much stopped summoning the vet and vanity pets completely, so in that regard i'd say it was successful in reducing server load from pets.
  14. i was tickled by how the OP reacted to the "Girl Gamer Preferences? (Warning: Girl Talk Inbound, Guys beware! )" title and overcompensated with "Guy gamers like... (No girls allowed!)"

"You dare warn us of girly stuff? That's it! You no allowed!! Rawr!"

  15. Most of the comics i would suggest have been mentioned already, but here's a few that either weren't or i missed the suggestion...

Gypsy Girl Press is actually several different comic series, all with a certain charm.

Skin Horse is a webcomic about a US Government agency largely made up of the nonhuman products of mad science and tasked primarily with helping other nonhuman products of mad science fit into society. Largely SFW. Nick, the foul-mouthed VTOL/Osprey with a human brain even has a language filter built in.

Scenes From A Multiverse is largely SFW and updates three times a week.

Guilded Age is a D&D/Fantasy MMO themed comic that does have NSFW language and situations sometimes. Edit: (Actually, pretty much any page where Frigg Akerfeldt appears is guaranteed to have NSFW language.)

Kukuburi is about a dreamlike world where thoughts and desires can reshape reality.

Grrl Power is a weekly comic about superheroes, but one of the main characters' language ranges from NSFW to very NSFW.

Johnny Wander is a comic largely about geeky/nerdy stuff and a group of friends living in NYC.

Saint's Way is a superheroic comic that occasionally has violence and has been on hiatus since 11 December.

There's a lot more comics that came to mind as i was writing this post, but i really need to get back to packing. Ta.

My hat goes off to you Z, I honestly like you as a person and community leader. And as I've said I believe the developers as people are really quite nice people. But the design decisions that have been made for the last few years were not good for the game. You are slowly turning that around with incarnate trials and such. But its going to take to heal this wound, if it is at all even healable.

You might consider going back and fixing everything that has been broken over the years from those past mistakes of ignoring feedback instead of just pushing that content to the side. Been awhile since we had a systems upgrade or clean up issue like power spectrum. (which btw never was finished *looks at ancil/patron powers and sighs*)

Do a few mini issues in between 22 and 23 to fix things like pvp and bases. And slowly fix one thing at a time in mini issues. Perfect way to continue adding new things to the game and also correct past mistakes.
i disagree with most of your assumptions, but rather than post something that would be far more acrimonious while addressing your specific assumptions/assertions in greater detail i'll just go with...

    CD: "I'm C1ark K3nt!"
*genericed with a message informing them that imitating other companies' characters is not allowed*
    CD 20 minutes later: "I'm Gr33n Lant3rn!"

CD next day: "I'm Clarkk Kkent!"

CD an hour later: "I'm Wunder Women!"
*genericed and temporarily banned while the GM wonders to himself how anyone can use punctuation and still be so profoundly stupid*

i normally play with it set to show critter names and bars at all times, so that's not really an issue for me.

Rather than just making the piece higher resolution, the designers felt the need to "improve" it in some way, which some people didn't consider an improvement. Or is this just the devs erring on the side of caution?

I'm seriously curious here, because if the pattern in that first image were sharpened up but otherwise left the same, I see no reason to keep the original around.
This is my position as well. If the texture's resolution is increased without changing the shape of it i see no need to retain the lower resolution texture.
  24. The really odd thing is that for the past 7+ years i have been using those unusable buttons in addition to slash commands and right-clicking chat windows. It never even occurred to me that they were unusable. i've used a variety of monitors over the years of varying sizes and resolutions (both of which have trended upwards over time) and never realized it was an issue. Maybe i started with a relatively low resolution monitor and grew accustomed to the layout early on.
