    yup, I missed 5 times in a row on a grey minion once, it made me start thinking that the tohit debuff on Dark Melee was effecting me and not the mobs, and now I notice every chained miss on that toon :/
  2. will probably go spiritual radial for my wp/dm. Endurance cost isn't really an issue and the added heal bonus will boost syphon life and regen (hmm wonder if it will boost the hp too?)

    Not exactly cheap with current market prices, but it has a nice amount of recharge, softcapped S/L, decent regen, hp and recovery.

    I tend to put the -rech IO from Dark Watcher's Despair into RttC, but that's entirely upto you, and I'd definitely suggest 2 taunt IOs as the taunt aura is fairly weak.

    EDIT: Or you could go for this option, which gives slightly better typed defences, more damage bonuses, but more endurance heavy, and probably more expensive overall:

  4. The game, like all MMOs, is design to be ongoing/continuous/infinite/NO END GAME.. If the devs designed a game that had all the hard stuff handed to you on a plate this game would have run out of players before its 1st birthday.

  5. Tried this tonight and it worked beautifully. Very nice work there!
  6. I'm not sure the Lysos work as defense HOs now... I think they were fixed a while back due to them being considered an exploit? (need clarification on that) But even without them you're only losing about 0.5% def per bubble and that's still going to keep yourself well over softcap.

    Just to note, softcapping isn't all that important on a /dark MM because you will be stacking so many -tohit debuffs on mobs, with fearsome stare, fluffy, darkest night etc. You can get away with being 2 to 4% below softcap on nearly all defences and still have next to nothing hit you (including GMs). This means that you can fairly easily hit 30-33% on most defences (add the 11.18% from bubble), and still have room to keep endurance costs to a minimum, and maybe add some HP/regen for theose times you do get hit.

    the kinetic combat & Oblit sets, and LOTG & +recov/regen IOs will be the expensive items, but the rest should be fairly easy to obtain.
  11. If I'm not mistaken, debuff toggles can act as a minor taunt, like darkest night in /dark secondary. Boxing has has a small taunt attached to it too allbeit single target, but it has a fast recharge (if you can afford to take the fighting pool).

    As far as /pain is concerned the only thing I can see that would have a similar taunt effect to, say, darkest night would be anguishing cry with its -res/def effect - I've not really played /pain all that much so I couldn't really tell you if it is effective or not
  12. Just to note Mask Presence's defense is supressed as soon as you come out of stealth so you're only going to get about 3% bonus during fights.

    I personally would go for more +regen as you don't have any form of healing apart from green insps. I'd also drop CT:O as you have quite a decent amount of +tohit and +acc as is.

    Imo ML is overslotted, maybe 4 slot it and dump in 2x Adjusted Targeting (rech & tohit/rech/end), and def/rech lotg with the +rech.

  16. ideally you want 2x def IOs in prot bot not the Lysos. These will then give you an additional 11.18% bubble defence on ur char (22.36% to other bots). Swap the slotting of fluffy around with fearsome stare so that fluffy can benefit from more acc/debuff/rech.

    If possible try to slot in the edict 5% def unique into 1 of your pets too, then you should be good to go
  17. aww the space station would've been a great place to host a pre-emptive TF/SF against rikti invasions, but I guess that would've just led to an EVE-esque expansion

I'm using the Bright hero alternate animations for SS on my ss/inv brute, and at times have been experiencing really bad animation lag in instanced missions to the point that the damage dealt doesn't register until after a few seconds, or knockdown animations occur before I've hit the mob. I've also had insps/salvage/recipes drop before the mob is dead.

    At first I suspected mapserver lag as sometimes I got the connection error flag up briefly, but none of my other charaters suffer from this kind of lag. Has anyone else had this kind of experience?

    Another thing I've noticed is whilst inside missions SS attacks have knockdown/up effects, but outside of missions they all do knockback. WAI?

  20. what version intelli drivers are you using? - I know that they've recently been upgraded to version 8 and these solved a few niggly issues I had with my mouse (wireless 5000) and keyboard (wireless 3000 v2)

Also spam Goto defensive macro to keep pets out of AoE range of the AV/GM, still maintaining BG mode and countering the annoying pet melee bug.

    Basically, I was trying to talk my way back into taking Shadow Punch...cause I've kind of run out of things to take. From the looks of things, to make the build work, it needs lots of recharge, which I seem to have plenty of. A 6th slot in each can bring MG down to 4.426s and SL down to 3.006s.

    Guess I'll just pitch Shadow Punch a again and try something else.
    call me noobish on this matter, but wouldn't jump kick work out better than SP?

    I'm only asking as I was thinking of taking that and acrobatics in my i19 build - just 1 of the few build ideas I've been toying with mind you. It has higher damage than SP, but is about .5 secs slower calculating cast and recharge.
