I don't think so, but its 1 of many issues that needs sorting out with regarding MMs, and afaik no official response from a redname has been made yet on any of the major problems

Most likely the devs aren't in a position to actually make changes right now. They're getting I19 finalized so changing the Live code would require redoing I19 builds, which they don't like to do after a certain point. (This is assuming I19 is going live soon.) Hopefully I19 has some MM fixes... if not, it will probably be January before we see anything since I believe the devs take a long break at Christmas.
Cascade, level 50 Blaster (NRG/NRG since before it was cool)
Mechmeister, level 50 Bots / Traps MM
FAR too many non-50 alts to name

I personally like the new one better. I use to hate the scatter thar burn would cause, the new version does less damage but it sticks for the total duration wihout the need for an AoE Immob. In the long run I think it would do more damage as all ticks apply.

I'm Bots/Traps/Mace, and against a single target, I had no trouble at all getting full damage out of Incendiary Swarm Missiles. Web Grenade is sort of useful that way.
I'm now getting about 1/3rd of the damage from ISM's under identical circumstances.
The Fear effect was a non-issue in cutting ISM damage down, the main issue was the damn Assault Bot following up Incendiary Swarm Missiles with plain old normal Swarm Missiles, and knocking half the spawn out of their burn patches...
Oh, and to the OP, this is the thread you're looking for, and as far as I'm aware ISM's are still running at about 1/3rd of the total damage output they used to.
To me though, Robotics has a bigger problem which has had no dev response that I'm aware of - the piggin' moronic AI which is determined to run into melee regardless of range to target, current orders or anything else I've tried to get them under control. Why yes, it does annoy the hell out of me, why do you ask?
Warning:
The above post may contain Cynicism, sarcasm and/or pessimism. If you object to the quantities contained, then tough.
That statement depends entirely on what powers you have from outside Robotics.

I hate to say it, but bots is a joke now compared to what it was capable of. Bots heavily relies on the assault bot's Incendiary missiles for damage and nerfing them to 1/3 the damage really affects the set's overall damage. Used to be the ridiculous damage on the missiles would push bots over thugs in terms of damage under many circumstances. Now unless i'm mistaken, the assault bot's missiles does virtually the same damage as the arsonist's firebomb, but still takes 20s compared to arsonist's 10s to deliver the damage. The assault bot's missiles still have the larger radius, but both radii are quite large (15' and 20').
Don't get me wrong, I love (and still like) the steamroller that is bots. I've IO'd my own bots/traps. But now it's less of a steamroller and more of a household iron. Still able to flatten things, but nowhere near its prior ability.
Actually now that I think about it, even though it was a mistake, it almost seems more fair now since bots is clearly one of the hardiest pet classes. No sense in giving one of the sturdiest pets the best damage as well. And now it opens up room for patron pools other than Mu Mastery. hmm, maybe this could actually be a good thing for the game balance.
I actually was inclined to believe that it was a decent change as well. A vast majority of Masterminds were Robotics because they were both very tough and very damaging, not to mention the AV killing capability they have.
As far as the Mu Mastery thing, though, I dunno if I would get rid of it just yet. The bots still do a lot of knockback, and Mu really helps mitigate that.
Makes me sad that the KB is considered so bad almost everyone chooses a specific Patron Pool for that reason alone. Takes away from the idea behind CoH being making a unique character and taking powers you like rather than to mitigate a drawback of your primary powerset.

If they stay in the enforcer leadership toggles, thugs actually have BETTER defense, even before you consider:
It buffs the enforcers too unlike bots
The bruiser has better and or more common resistances
They can slot the recharge set uniques
The only defensive advantages bots have over thugs are psionics, no need to stay near the enforcers, and the shield that they grant the player.
A game is not supposed to be some kind of... place where people enjoy themselves!

Branching Paragon Police Department Epic Archetype, please!

I don't see the devs fixing this anyway. They've had an entire issue to do so, and two issues to fix the stupid melee bug and haven't done so.
Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

Can somebody post the I17 & I18 stats of missiles?
A game is not supposed to be some kind of... place where people enjoy themselves!
I forgot about this little change since I took a break just a few weeks after it happened but I thought my Bots/Traps felt a little weak last night, seeing fields of single digit numbers is great fun, but I preferred the double digit ones!
As for the lack of fear in the burn patches I don't care, more damage > less damage!
Thankfully I can see this being one that does get fixed (The AI bug sounds quite hard to fix without creating seperate AI's for each pet group), it may not be a priority but all they need to do is create a new burn pet with the old stats and assign it to the Assault Bot, so I have high hopes for it.
British by act of union, English by grace of God, Northern by pure good fortune!
Me too!

Has this power been changed back to the way it used to be? I remember dev saying it should not work like fire armor's burn patch and would put it on his list of things to do.
