I got a level 9 stun DO (I forget which origins) as a drop a month or so ago.

Quote:Invisible horror that sneaks up behind a guy and BAM! crushes his skull between two Mighty Fists(tm) is a logical(ish) horror movie monster concept and thus not TOO far beyond the realm of reasonable for a stalker type character. It seems reasonable to me that Stalkers the AT can be as capable of the sneaky movie monster as they are of the ninja type. This would be hilarious. Super Strength is already Single-Target based anyways, a common theme among Stalker sets, and Rage would work very well with Stalkers. The only thing standing in the way would probably be that Super Strength and stealth don't immediately connect logically.
Personally I don't play much in the way of stalkers, but that's no reason not to at least look at the possibility of SS Stalkers. -
Well *I* like the idea of Assassin's Axe-ing some poor schlub, so /signed.

Talen's correct, Doom. The LoTG special IO gives the bonus "Luck of The Gambler Incread Recharge Speed" which is tracked seperately from "Huge Increased Recharge Speed" which also gives a 7.5% bonus and comes from several sets. For the Rule of 5 it's two different bonuses and both can be stacked 5 times.

So how do you justify the workload of five entirely new endgame zones with all the contacts, etc. necessary when IIRC like two thirds of all characters ever rolled are mutant or magic origin? Furthermore, which take on science do you use? The "I've discovered the secret to MASTERING TIME AND SPAAAACE!" type? The "I drank WHAT?!" type? How many bitter and acrimonious debates have the forums had in the last... six months say, over the nature of what origins mean and how any given take is "ur doin' it wrong!" for at least ONE participant in said debate?
Finally, since the two existing raids are so stupid (well Hami is, mothership not QUITE so much) why would we want more of them? Five new things to avoid seems like a huge waste of man hours and money, especially compared to something like advancing the damned plotline which hasn't happened since Oroboros was introduced. -
What of the Fortunata? Good defenses and a bunch of nasty AoE powers means they can kick ranged AoE butt and not die, plus they get a bunch of buffs, defense, and controls to sweeten the package. Just throwing that out there as another alternative that seems to have gotten overlooked thus far.

Hey, it worked in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying too! Two wins, what could go wrong?! *plots to haul desks to NCNC*

Quote:No, but it was within the first 120 days of launch. It's also happened like... once.didn't the change to Fold Space -> Singularity happen during beta?
Twice if you count TK changing from a toggle fly other to what it is now, but I don't remember when that happened.

You'll change my Omega Maneuver when you pry my fingers from your cold, dead throat!
-
It's not. It's just the people who use City Info Tracker are more common on Virtue than on Freedom. At least, that's the conclusion I'd draw from it.
-
Think you could edit the post to NOT be dark blue on a blue background? I can't even read your slotting choices.
-
It's my understanding that the Domination endurace refill works the same way as popping blue inspirations (give you X endurance, not recovery) and I speak from experience on my Electric Brute that popping a blue post-Power Surge crash WILL give you endurance. I don't see any reason why Domination wouldn't.

Only the Fortunata Hamilton one and up.
EDIT: Ignore that, I looked right past the Brick Johnson one in my list. I'm an idjit.
For what it's worth, the Brick souvenier is "warehouse inventory manifest" and hamilton is "filled notebook." -
No. I advise picking up the Perf. Shifter +end proc, the Numina +regen/recovery proc, the Miracle +regen proc and at least a couple slots in stamina beyond the proc. Well, aside from the endrdx and +recovery you'll snag in IO sets when you begin slotting them.
-
I agree as well. Minor change (SCR, I know) that would definitely improve QoL. Gimme!
-
A series of massive ******* headaches. **** Christmas, damn it to ho ho Hell.
-
I'd LOVE some new targeted aoe sets. The ability to slot something other than Positron's blast for not-worthless set bonuses would rock. /signed!

Not too many stories to tell, but I did solo my first (and second) Giant Monster during the winter event. Was running around Bricks on my Ill/Rad troller when I said to myself "Why not see if your build's up to the challenge of GM soloing?" So I did. Took about 25 minutes the first time, because I did it on a lark and didn't bring enough blues to really keep up the pressure so it slowed drastically when I was forced to wait for end to recover to power more attacks.
When the WL had maybe 10% of his health left (and a SG mate brought me a stack of blues) some random dark fender showed up and started swingin' on the WL too. I asked 'em to blow and finished WL myself, but I couldn't in my own mind at least call the GM soloed since y'know dude showed up and helped.
Next day I decided to try it again, and loaded up on blues to fuel the destruction. Second try was sort of chaotic as my damn PA kept getting distracted by WL minions and random street mobs, meaning I was taking a lot more fire than I did the first time. Eventually all the distractions died and all that sweet sweet pet DPS was pouring into WL himself and this time nobody showed up to interfere.
After 15 or 20 minutes I stood victorious, threw the horns, nodded with smug self satisfaction and declared that character made of win. -

Rolled this character for RP, and found out I rather like playing it for missioning too. Upon that realization, I hit Mids' and designed this build out. I don't have a whole lot of experience with either of the powersets (some with mind, this is my first exposure to ice assault) and while I'm pretty sure I hit all the major bases in terms of powers and capabilities (perma hasten, perma dom and then some) it never hurts to get an outsider to look over your work.
That being said, here's my planned Dom circa 50:

Well Inventions are earned in three ways, pretty much. The first is killing stuff. Mobs you slay drop Pool A IO recipes, which have a pretty eclectic mix of crap and awesome. Completing a mission has a 10% chance to award a recipe from Pool B, which is rares only and another mix of awesome and notsome, slightly biased towards "notsome." Earning Merits (untradable salvage things) lets you buy Pool-C/D (used to be TF/Trial pools, they got merged) recipes at Merit Vendors which are clearly marked on your maps. Pool C has some of the best IOs in the game in it, but most of it's pretty meh things like immobilizes and snipes.
Honestly, the best place to look up what exactly IOs are and how impressive they can make you is www.paragonwiki.com. Lots of good info and much more elaborate than we can be here. -
I'd hit that action, and I don't even play grav characters.
