Night Widows and Endurance

I've got my widow up to 40. I have Stamina. I have 1 end red in every attack. And the endurance pain is still the worst I've felt on any character.

I also feel far too squishy, but I know I'll fix that with hitting 50 and buying proper IO sets to reach softcap. However, I'm less convinced that I'll cease feeling the Endurance pain.

Does it ever go away?

No. I advise picking up the Perf. Shifter +end proc, the Numina +regen/recovery proc, the Miracle +regen proc and at least a couple slots in stamina beyond the proc. Well, aside from the endrdx and +recovery you'll snag in IO sets when you begin slotting them.

If you have the money, which really isn't alot IIRC, try buying up some Gift of the Ancients.

The set is amazing for endurance, giving 2% at 2 pieces and +1.8 Max End at 4. A few sets of those and your end problems will disappear.

5 4 sets of GotA is sufficent to send a 2.63 End a Sec recovery to 3.05

Best part is, they cap AT 40, so finding them for your level shouldn't prove hard.

Other suggestions;

The base has a wonderful machine, the Empowerment Station, the buffs may be a bother to get the right salvage for, but are REALLY nice. They include recovery buffs, recharge speed increase's etc

Learn to manage your toggles; toggle off SS/SJ when fighting

Use rest, slot a rchrg in it.

Use Insps, and restock often

I love my Night Widow (currently at 28), but the blue bar is definitely her rate-determining step. Sometimes I have to turn toggles off to sacrifice some green for a little more blue. I haven't considered her squishy at all though, in fact she seems pretty durable. Can slice through targets right quick, too.

I haven't fully planned out her build yet, but the Gift of the Ancients recommendation seems like a good one. I'll probably stick an extra slot in CJ to slot a second GoTA (happened upon the Def/+RunSpd, maybe a Def/End too). Maybe even slot a couple of the defense powers with two of those and two from Kismet, Poison Dart with Thunderstrike. Eradication might even be tempting for Eviscerate (+ Max End).

edit: ok, now I've played around in Mids a little and GOOD GRAVY, Widows can get silly with IOs...

Super Packs Done Right
Influence Sink: IO Level Mod/Recrafting
Random Merit Rolls: Scale cost by Toon Level

Opinions vary on the endurance issue, but imho it pretty much goes away if you do these 3 things:

1> Take Stamina -- which you have. 3 or 4 slot it (put Perf Shifter in 4th)

2> Frankenslot your powers. There are several good sets that give 1-2.5%
(depending on the set) bonus to recovery for just two IO's - Bruising Blow,
Gift of the Ancients (as mentioned previously) and Impervium Armor are
some that come to mind.

3> Slot your attacks for Acc/Dmg/Erdx... you can get recharge with Hasten, and Mental Training.
I typically aim for 60%,95%,60% on Acc, Dmg, and EndRdx. A slotting like this is a good example:

Lunge - 6-slotted with L30 IO's (pre ED)

Code:
Set IO ACC DMG ERDX RCH
Bruising Blow A/D 21.8 21.8 --- ---
               D/E --- 21.8 21.8 ---
Focus Smite A/D 21.8 21.8 --- ---
               A/E/R 17.4 --- 17.4 17.4
Kinetic Combat D/E --- 21.8 21.8 ---
               D/E/R --- 17.4 17.4 17.4
Totals (pre ED) 61.0 104.6 78.4 34.8
As you can see, you can do a LOT better than a single Endrx SO in the
attack without losing out any of it's attack capability. In addition, you
still were able to get a full SO worth of recharge in there and you also
get a 1% recovery bonus and ~4+% immobilization duration reduction
essentially for free.

Taking this approach with the other attacks (and other powers in general),
is well worth doing, and pretty much solves the problem entirely.

Finally, these are with L30 IO's, so you get the benefits much earlier, they
exemplar reasonably well (L25's are better if you do a lot of that), and, of
course, they're generally quite a bit cheaper than L50 IO's.

Hope that helps.
