Xmas Event stories?
Not too many stories to tell, but I did solo my first (and second) Giant Monster during the winter event. Was running around Bricks on my Ill/Rad troller when I said to myself "Why not see if your build's up to the challenge of GM soloing?" So I did. Took about 25 minutes the first time, because I did it on a lark and didn't bring enough blues to really keep up the pressure so it slowed drastically when I was forced to wait for end to recover to power more attacks.
When the WL had maybe 10% of his health left (and a SG mate brought me a stack of blues ) some random dark fender showed up and started swingin' on the WL too. I asked 'em to blow and finished WL myself, but I couldn't in my own mind at least call the GM soloed since y'know dude showed up and helped.
Next day I decided to try it again, and loaded up on blues to fuel the destruction. Second try was sort of chaotic as my damn PA kept getting distracted by WL minions and random street mobs, meaning I was taking a lot more fire than I did the first time. Eventually all the distractions died and all that sweet sweet pet DPS was pouring into WL himself and this time nobody showed up to interfere.
After 15 or 20 minutes I stood victorious, threw the horns, nodded with smug self satisfaction and declared that character made of win.

So, does anyone have any Xmas event stories? Tales of hilarity or amusement?
I have diddly squat, but I'll start anyway.
1) Started running through Grandville on a L44 Brute, trying to get click on Presents. When I wasn't getting L40 Snowmen, I was getting L50s. So I ran around the beach outside, but most of the presents were within existing mobs. After a faceplant or two, I decided to hit the D.
When I was doing BNY missions on said Brute, I noticed that it was really easy. I checked and discovered that I was running on +0/x0/BiA (That's "mobs equal to my level", "scaled for 1 player", "Baby in arm, rendering player one-handed"). I figured that I would get around to changing the difficulty later. Final straw? Logged off, logged on again and didn't realize until halfway through the mission that I hadn't turned on my toggles. With a few inspires still managed to beat Snaptooth.
Definately time to crank it up a bit.
((Did not add Difficulty "CoL". Cat on Lap: adds random keypresses, occasionally obscures sections of screen))
2) Playing the BNY missions with a SoA (Crab w/pets) and noticing that a very low Hover still allows you to slide around on the lake ice, but a little altitude corrects this.
Bonus: Watching nearly a half-dozen spiderbots sliding out of control across the lake, shooting wildly.
Told you I had little to go with, now entertain us all while we wait for our server to come back on!
