Or provide alternate Midnighter arcs for new pathways in!
-

I have thought that a "Moon" zone/area should feature a hero zone/map, a villain zone/map, a co-op zone/map and then a chaotic PvP FFA (Free for all) zone/map. . .
It should be the closest thing to Rogue & Vigilante heaven! (Along with an undersea doomed city zone!)
The 5th Column should be the featured enemy for everyone! -
I love bases too! I am all for any ideas that improve them in aesthetics or function.
Second floors and basements would be great, so would windows and perhaps a door in a specific location, perhaps your base is "located" in Atlas Park with a permanent door on that zone map. NPCs like Trainers, Analysts & Maintenance Staff (Maybe robots wandering around cleaning) would all add great atmosphere. Market access from your base would rock! Being able to set teleporter beacons for both Red and Blue sides to allow Rogues & Vigilantes access in either direction from their own base. -
Quote:<Snip!>I'd also send anyone complaining about travel time in this game to go play Aion for a month, where you either have to pay to get where you're going or jog across the sand/through the forest/etc for 10-15 minutes. <Snip!>
Just because Aion is lame doesn't mean CoX has to be! -
Bingo! Thats the best resolution I can see to this situation.
-
Absolutely, there should be many standard generic NPCs in costume everywhere you go.
-
I would love to see travel powers expanded, but not as a booster.
-
Very cool idea and well thought out. Good job, I love it!

It should be fixed so that you cannot use the wand until you have the mission OR the mission should begin when you craft the wand. . . .
AND the damed recipe should drop from your list once you craft it, cause it's not like you get to do it again!
All my toons have it, even the Praetorians, it makes no sense at all. -
-
A wonderful idea, I am surprised this thread hasn't had more traffic.
-
No, the Midnighters do not exist in Praetoria. . . Yet!
I would hope that they do sometime soon though. Sometime in the next few updates would be great. I can easily envision the Earth Primal vs Earth Praetoria conflict growing and expanding into a timewar of sorts with the Midnighters role being one of repairing history while other combating forces are attempting to change history in their favor. . . -
I am all for this! AND a Praetorian door in the Midnighter's club too!

Absolutely, I would want this! Hell I want Halloween costumes to last longer than the event. Give them a 2-3 hour game time life rather than going away with the event. . .
-
I would be happy with anything that let us use base teleporters in each zone. My Rogue-Villains have earned the exploration badges in several Paragon Locations, they even show up in the Villain Group (SG) badges, but I cannot set a beacon in the Villain base. I would be happy to forgo multiple SG membership if I could set Blue side beacons on my Red base, and vica versa of course. . .
-
Forbin_Project, coalitions do not encompass both Hero & Villain groups. . . Ideally, from my point of view anyway, that would be the real benefit of being able to join multiple groups. Being able to use teleporters in both realms would make life so much easier for Rogues & Vigilantes. Yes, I really do want some things to be a bit easier for players, travel and navigation being big items on my list, and this seems to be a means to accomplish that.

I must have missed this thread before, but I love the concept!

Khelds have Voids. . . Everyone at higher levels have Sappers! Close enough to Kryptonite for me!
-
Quote:That's a spectacular idea, as more map types are needed and the linearity would actually make sense.
A more resource efficient way to do it might be a subway rather than riding through zones.
Three or four basic car designs, then link together a bunch of cars, you could make the mission train as long as you needed, no matter that only one car at a time is seen at the station. In the Rogue Isles you often enter cave missions through doors in buildings so thats not really a discrepancy issue. Being able to battle your way forward or backward from car to car works for me! I like the idea of zone scenery, but I suppose subway backgrounds would be easier to animate. -
Quote:I absolutely agree. So many hero missions are stale and senseless in terms of story. Villains don't have nearly enough content, but the mission arcs they have are superior for the most part, though getting old now. The Kheld mission arcs are wonderful story, sadly though the fragile Khelds are just not as much fun to play for me.As much fun as it is to get new stuff, the old stuff is what makes me hate blueside more than anything.
I can't stand playing heroes anymore. . . <Snip!>. . . Villains just have so much better content. Kalinda is a personal favorite. From level 1, you're engaged in this awesome story, how you could be the most powerful villain ever, you just have to prove yourself. There are tons of story arcs from level 1 onward, and much more developed contacts. Heroside contacts are just boring civilian models with some cheesy back-story added in an attempt to make them interesting. . . <Snip!> . . . Right now the only heroes worth rolling are Kheldians, and that's because of their awesome story-arcs. -
Absolutely! "Go rescue that guy on the train!"
Fight the mob through from car to car, through war walls and tunnels and then across city zones and then finally fight the boss on the train roof as Paragon City whizs by!
