Regarding pointers, at the end of the trial on blueside Positron actually does tell people to come see him in steel canyon when they hit level 10. Problem is he does that in the popup npc captions that no one ever reads.
Personally I think we need more than just death from below in the lfg system, which is something I hope they're working on. Free players come into the game and are taught that's the way to do team content, but all that's in there is this one trial so they assume that's all there is. If everything else was in there too, with more things popping up in the list as you level high enough to do them, I think the problem would solve itself. -
Quote:It may also lower market prices for hamidon and synthetic hamidon enhancements since the titan and hydra ones are the same enhancements just lower level and thus unwanted at present, but if you made them all scale there'd be no practical difference between them. Thus providing a greater supply for those willing to run the various bits of content needed - instead of being limited to one hamidon enhancement (from killing hamidon) and one synthetic hamidon enhancement (from STF or LRSF) per day, you'd be able to get two more from Eden and the Abandoned Sewers. And the eden trial especially is as far as I know still pretty easy to speed run.It would also let them be used as low-level "placeholders" for builds that call for things HOs can do.
Not that lower market prices is a bad thing, from my perspective it very much isn't. I'm just saying, a change like this is likely to have an effect. -
I'm still hoping that if/when the Shard gets looked at again it gets a proper revamp, not just sticking a villain portal in and making it co-op. We have enough co-op content that makes villains save the world already, surely there's a better reason for them to go there than just because they can.
Also notable, there's a mid-level redside story arc that has Arachnos attempting to establish a base in the Shard. You ever wonder why they have mole points alpha and charlie but no bravo? It's cause Bravo got taken over by Arachnos, in that arc. And then subsequently re-taken over by the minions of Rularuu, but still. -
You know what's odd though? If it WAS given to stalkers, they could probably use the same animation Rend Armor uses without momentum for the obligatory Assassin's Smash. And yes it would be called that.
Of course then you'd have to take out the best ST attack in the set to not have two attacks with the same animation, which would suck.
Actually, you know why Stalkers don't get it now that I think about it? Titan has 4 AoEs. Even taking one out for AS leaves it with three. And clearly no stalker is allowed that much AoE. It's not to do with concept at all! -
Personally I'd much rather they revamp the older powersets a little to give each a unique gimmick like the newer sets have - doesn't have to be (and probably shouldn't be, cottage rule and all) much. But some powers that interact with each other the way things like beam rifle's disintegrate, street justice's combos and time manipulation's accelerated and delayed effects work. Of the three I'd say time is closest to what if anything should be given to the older sets. Just a small bonus, not a major game-changing mechanic because people would very much be upset over that.
Of course, doing that to every powerset in the game would take forever. So, not likely. But it'd be nice. :P -
I just wish I could take my premium friends through, say, First Ward missions without having to go 'oh, sorry. You can't play with me today unless you spend money first.'

We'll keep a seat warm for you. Have fun in whatever you go off to do now.

I dunno, I usually advertise mine in Virtue TFs 2010 and Virtue LFG Beta. But then I often do them later at night when RWZ isn't as crowded and trial leagues don't fill up the instant someone mentions forming one.

In short: No. If the devs wanted us instantly switching alignments on a whim there wouldn't be a time limit on tips. You want to play both sides at once, be one of the in between alignments. That's what they're there for. Throw a villainous outfit in a second costume slot and you're golden.

I'm pretty sure there actually is a hatchet or at least something that looks fairly similar as an axe model, and mace has stuff like the police nightstick and pipe wrenches that're pretty inconspicuous.
But yeah, Celestial options for every weapon (Including future sets like titan and staff), please. And ditto any future costume set where there's not a good reason to exclude some weapons and not others. -
Could be worse, there's one map I know of in the AE where the exit literally isn't where the glowing box is, it's somewhere else entirely. Or it used to be anyway, not sure if that was fixed or not.
Simple fix for this one though - just increase the radius at which the escort will notice the exit and leave - ideally only on these maps. Standard code rant probably applies there though. -

I haven't bought any enhancements off the store and I don't plan on starting any time soon, I don't care how cheap they are. I'll save my points for things I can't get directly in game - more costume bits and power sets, please.

Quote:Or they'd run the one arc that unlocks them all when you finish it. At least I think it does, if not you can farm Overseers in there for that badge which does and still not need an alignment change. No, it really wouldn't. Why? Because unless:
- it was made a global account unlock
- or the Shadow Shards go co-op
people who didn't want their villains to ever become heroes would be sulking in the corner.
Also, count me in as another who'd love some Rularuu costume bits. With and without eyes, pretty please. And that spikey back piece the Rulu-shin have too, can't forget that one. -
Go run the Underground incarnate trial, it has EBs in every mob. Problem solved.
-
I'm pretty sure you can't debuff regen to the point where you actually start to lose health from it. Just saying.
-
What's even worse is early in the beta for whichever issue shields were in, there WAS a fire shield that looked a bit more like a fire shield instead of a lava shield. Or so I remember, I could be wrong. I forget why they took it out.
-
The simplest way of doing it would be to just add a new pattern for each emblem, which would work fine as it'd just use the existing system. But it wouldn't allow you to use the emblems with any of the existing patterns and I'd bet people want to do that, so yeah.

The only problem is they didn't revert some of the changes made to PvE powers due to PvP concerns when they did that. I wish they would.

As an alternate option... How about we consider voltaic sentinel instead of a T3 blast? It probably doesn't fill in as one as is, though... a little lacking in the damage department. What if they gave it a second power? Lightning bolt as well as the charged bolt it has currently? Or they could give it its own tesla cage for more mez, if a straight damage boost isn't what was wanted. Or even give it both, if that wouldn't be too overpowering.
Just seems a more interesting idea to me, rather than changing another power into something people who use it as is might not like just to give the set a t3 blast. Elec is different by lacking a t3 blast and having the pet instead, we should embrace that rather than trying to change it to fit the generic template of other powersets. -
I still think the Shard deserves a full-scale revamp, rather than just adding villain access to the existing zone. So much space there and it's all empty except for a few TFs no one runs and some repeatable missions. They could and in my opinion should do so much more with it.
*sigh* Maybe once Praetoria stops being the new shiny... -
The problem with doing something like this is to my knowledge there's currently no way to change animations based on what weapon is selected, or to change what weapons are available based on what animation is selected. The two systems don't interact, and depending on how they were built it may be rather difficult to make them interact.
Which doesn't mean it wouldn't be awesome, just that it's harder than it sounds. -

To my knowledge the only stuff in the market that's earnable ingame is the vanguard costume pieces. And even with those there's benefit to buying them on the market instead as you get them account-wide at level 1 instead of having to unlock them per character at a minimum of level 35.
That said, I support more ingame ways of unlocking market items, on the same per-character basis as the vanguard stuff so as to not remove all incentive for us to give them our money.
