In-Game earnability indicated on store items
As far as I'm aware, the stuff you can earn in-game isn't available in the market at all.
I'm pretty familiar with most of the in-game earnable items, and I've dug through the market extensively. So far I haven't run across a single item in the market that you can earn via gameplay.
Edit: Except for a few of the temp powers, now that I think about it.
So, I guess that's your answer: Don't buy temp powers in the market.

To my knowledge the only stuff in the market that's earnable ingame is the vanguard costume pieces. And even with those there's benefit to buying them on the market instead as you get them account-wide at level 1 instead of having to unlock them per character at a minimum of level 35.
That said, I support more ingame ways of unlocking market items, on the same per-character basis as the vanguard stuff so as to not remove all incentive for us to give them our money.

You can buy auras and capes to be unlocked from level 1. Those can be earned during gameplay.
To my knowledge all of the things that you can unlock both in-game and on the market are differentiated by being Character-bound (In-game) and Account-bound (Market) - the only exception being "expendable" items which are purchasable and account-bound, but have a fixed number of uses across all your characters.

Actually they can. You can use Astral merits to unlock capes and auras on a single character of any level (you need a level 50 to get the merits but the unlock token can be used by any character on your account).
Level 1 unlocks on Capes and Auras cannot be earned during gameplay.

Jeez...I'm so sorry I wasn't explicit. You can buy something that would be available at level 1....OR you can play the game and unlock them at levels 20 and 30. OH and do I now need to be explicit that capes will open after a mission at 20 from the city representative and auras will open at 30 after a similar mission.
I can get behind this idea.
I have been here for a while (just after CoV went live, for those of you old enough to remember such things) and I'm pretty familiar with what can get earned in game. But sometimes, I get absent minded (age, you know). More importantly, there are quite a few new players out there who might not have my ancient wisdom...
It doesn't have to be much, just an icon or something similar. It doesn't have to tell you how to earn it in game, just that it can be.

A more recent example was the bats aura in the halloween pack. You could buy the pack and get all the parts, including the aura, or you could run the Halloween trial (though the trial did not seem to recognize if you had the aura).

You'll also note that his polite, factual post generated a similar response while your hissy-fit generated a condescending response. In the future if you want to be taken seriously instead of a petulant 6 year old, you might want to try to emulate Adeon.
Yes you do need to be explicit and accurate when posting information about the game mechanics, and when you make an error be mature enough to admit your mistakes. Furthermore if you bothered to read Adeon's response before throwing your little temper tantrum you'd have seen that it is possible to get those unlocks on specific characters using Astral Merits.

I took your response to my post in exactly the way I read many of your responses to other folks in the past. My post made an assumption that folks on the forums have played a while and realize how capes and auras can be unlocked (at level 1, no), but you found that what I wrote was completely wrong for some reason. The OP was looking for an indicator on market items to warn buyers that there are other ways to get access to things they are buying by doing some work in game. I agree with that and gave an example.
Temper tantrum...really?...Whatever it was, it was completely directed at you, and no one else because I've had my history of having to deal with you before and your dismissive, holier-than-thou attitude to posts that you feel are beneath your highness' status. Really, you couldn't interpret that I meant capes and auras could be unlocked in game? You were so in a hurry to make sure to indicate my post was absolutely wrong. You also assumed I didn't read Adeon's response before posting...wrong. I had actually completely forgotten about that part and was glad he also commented.
Feel free to throw around all your fancy wordsmithing as you respond to this and belittle me, but I've said what I want and I'm sick of reading your posts. I'm done with you. SO, you will get the last word...enjoy. Keep being such a standup forum poster who sets the example for all of us.
You know, he's not really worth arguing with.
It would be nice to have some kind of indicator for stuff you can actually earn in-game vs. stuff you can't. I would feel silly if I realized I could have earned something without a whole lot of effort if I'd just done a little research.
