Happy anniversary of the day your mother forcibly ejected you from her womb!
[/ QUOTE ]
That's quite an assumption. Maybe, like me, he was never "born" but instead ripped out of his mother's uterus while she was high on pain killers cause the doc said "NO" to letting him out the natural way? -
[ QUOTE ]
Maybe it will happen on the 31st!
[/ QUOTE ]
On Sunday? No way. -
It's not CoH related, but apparently that cat is supposed to be a real good one to follow.

Yes wikked, but I mean actual fisticuffs, you know what I am saying, not dark melee, not fire, not blades, good ole fist in face, boot in a**, fist in the temple, fist in the solar plexes......

That doesnt sound very . . . "super"
[/ QUOTE ]
Try telling that to Manticore and see where it gets you.

Or if we want to go main stream comics - Batman. -

The plan I used ultimo old chum is this
1.) Set your main as rank 6 when you start
2.) Set all bins to 5 star clearance and all editing funtions to 5 star. Leave invites to 1 star level
3.) pay some lowbie a goodly sum of cash (20k per toon, is what i did)
4.) invite them at 1 star
5.) log and get them to invite your toons
6.) once done, pay them and then kick them and anyone you dont recognize on your list
7.) Change permissions to 1 star so all your toons can do base stuff
It's a pain, but if you do all your toons at once not so bad.
[/ QUOTE ]
I would make bin permission superleader only and invite the accomplice to the leader 5 star level. The accomplice would then invite my alts and promote them all to 5 star level. Then, when the accomplice is paid and kicked, change bin permissions to 5 stars. This allows you to invite others at levels 1 - 4 with various permissions without giving them bin permission yet.
[/ QUOTE ]
That works too, probably better in fact.
Word on the street is that zombie man is a smart fellow

yeah, but then you realize that, while following in his footsteps, you've been stepping into his brains and other bits of flesh that have fallen onto the road. -
Go and ask in the tech forums. I THINK the issue can be resolved by simply making a copy and running the copy of the updater (Issue with trying to rename itself while it's in use) but not sure.

No need to call the OP a ******. That's just rude.
And best... anything. >.< They shouldn't be getting hit at all. Arch/MM is, or was, somewhat FOTM, but it's still fun. Ice/ will make up somewhat for the direct control that Ill/ lacks. Ice/MM might be interesting.

What? ****** was a civil war leader known for keeping his troops in high morale (1 guess as to how!) -
And as I recall - that option defaults to 0 every time you log out.

Lawsuit gone. Since the "settlement" wasn't made public, I can't know for sure, but it sure makes sense to me.
[/ QUOTE ]
One of the reasons why inter-corporate settlements should not be allowed to be private, I think. -
[ QUOTE ]
Probably because then it would be seriously easy for anyone who knows his email addy, to get his password.
[/ QUOTE ]
Not only that, but their system, as I recall, sends a new random password - so if you just needed the email, you could grief someone by continually resetting their password. -
[ QUOTE ]
Try calling support, they can deal with password issues on the phone, it's faster and easier.
[/ QUOTE ]
As I recall, isn't their phone support limited to office hours, or close thereof? It was a 3-day weekend here in the US. -

As to who won in COH vs Marvel who knows ? It looks like COH did.
[/ QUOTE ]
Nobody, although it looked to many CoH was winning.
It was settled out of court. Which does two things :
Prevents legal precedence being set by the case, as the case was dropped.
Keeps the details (both gross and fine) of the resoultion private (Personally, I think that should be illegal unless it deals with EXTREMELY private and fine-level details for persons, no exceptions for companies) so we don't know exactly what happened. -

thay cannot be sued by US copyright laws for someone having a character that looks SIMILAR to a copyrighted name/face/character/fart smell this si teh same reason people cannot sue Wierd Al for the songs he makes,
[/ QUOTE ]
You are clueless and should just stop now. NCSoft was ALREADY SUED over this, so I guess the US legal system disagrees with your expert opinion. And, since I guess you weren't aware, Weird Al contacts the artists he parodies and GETS THEIR PERMISSION IN ADVANCE.
[/ QUOTE ]
Mostly so there is no issue of getting sued later. Not because he necessarily needs to.
I don't use a helmet because I'm thinking "I KNOW I will get hit while riding my bike" but because I might, and it's a simple precaution. -
Yeah, 4 pts covers about 80-85% of Knockback, 8 pts. 99% of knockback, that you will encounter.

They could put the actual room further underground. That should get rid of all sounds since they would be too far away.
[/ QUOTE ]
IIRC that room has windows out into the zone, so I don't think it can really be moved. At least not without duplicating half the zone geometry.
[/ QUOTE ]
Correct - ALL of all the AE buildings, except, I think the medical center, is (contrary to every other building in game) inside the building you see walking by it. Those windows are not "window boxes" but simply translucent panels. -
Immobilizes aren't useless. Just need to either stack them or have them proc their overpower.

No you don't get a greater amount of Stealth from a unique Stealth IO that's level 50 Vs say level 20.
[/ QUOTE ]
If you notice, the OP then posted "Would a level 50 stealth IO work in SC?" - that is what Lucky was responding to. -

... or maybe the dumb AI came first and their massive damage was put in for balance. Either way, I consider it well-coded Artificial Stupidity. I've shot a zombie who came after me and, halfway there, FORGOT WHAT IT WAS DOING.
[/ QUOTE ]
Originally, Vomit was untyped (There was no toxic damage type originally).
Then everything that was seen as "toxic" was typed to fire, to give players resistance (note the attacks themselves were not "Fire Attack", so fire defense didn't help).
Then they got around to coding the Toxic Damage type and things are as they are now. -

I've wanted more for redsiders ever since it came out, still waiting on Trial Zones, still waiting on additional endgame Villain only content like the Shadow Shards are for Blueside, I'll just assume that Villain Trial Zones are on the famed ToDo list.
[/ QUOTE ]
Except, possibly, for the shard, Trial Zones are on the "DO NOT DO" list. -

It is illegal to sell other people's property, just about everywhere. The problem lies in explaining to a police official that someone has sold/stolen your property when it is ultimately still within your possession.
[/ QUOTE ]
If a company was to sue an RMT company, it would go one of two ways :
Theft : Theft of REVENUE, as any services for the game should be provided by the company owning the game - especially SOE with their "You can buy items/gold/etc to use on special servers" setup. Or, theft of revenue because instant gratification may lessen the time (and thus, subscription revenue) a given player will play the game.
Breach of Contract : Simple, and straight forward. Violating the EULA/TOS. -
I was purposely avoiding the wiki - I didn't not want to realize it's been two hours, and I had not touched anything else

[ QUOTE ]
They check every... I want to say 10 seconds, and fire off.
[/ QUOTE ]
Correct - any proc or proc-like IO (The 120's) will check every 10 seconds in any ongoing power, be it a rain/drop like Rain of Fire, toggle like Death Shroud, or an auto-power like Health or Stamina for it's chance (or certainty) of activating. -

The Mutant origin refers to people who were born mutated some way (i.e. different from their own species). Science refers tro people who were changed in some way due to exposure to something. So the Lost should be Science origin.
[/ QUOTE ]
While this is true, the substance they're exposed to causes them to mutate. Their origin is kinda blurred, IMO, especially since all of them mutate into the same general being.
[/ QUOTE ]
No - they are EXPOSED TO A SUBSTANCE TO GAIN THEIR POWERS - that's classic science origin right there.
[/ QUOTE ]
What if they were never exposed to any substances themselves but came out of the womb with the capability to mutate or develop a mutation inherited from their parental units? NATURAL Origin all over IMO.
Sorry. It just looked like so much fun that I wanted to play too.
[/ QUOTE ]
if not standard for their species, even if it occurs naturally, that's classic mutation origin. Now, if it's a stable mutation, consistently passed on (like Anne McCaffery's Talented) you would have an arguement for calling it Natural instead.
But what you described matches the X-Men, and they are definatly Mutant origin. -

I have a sd brute and was wondering if slotting res/rech IO's in One with the Shield would help that powers recharge since plain recharge enhancements cant be slotted?
[/ QUOTE ]
One with the Shield does not simply disallow recharge enhancements - it ignores ALL changes to it's recharge speed.
This means you cannot speed it up, but it also does not get hit by recharge debuffs.
[/ QUOTE ]
Just for other folks who may be reading this, there are other powers where this trick works. For example, the VEAT power Mind Link doesn't take recharge enhancements, but you can slot Def/Rech enhancements in there which do reduce its recharge.
[/ QUOTE ]
The two that come to mind are Mind Link (intentionally made that way) and Vengeance (Not intentional originally, IIRC, but known by the devs and allowed). -
That's how it's always been since day one, in my experience.
