It's a tough break - does he have the correct email address on his nc account? Is he making sure to put the right password in, since the NC account and the GAME account are often different?

It does not ask for the email address in the password retrieval form, only for the ncsoft username and then verification via birth date and imaged letters. But it only returns either an error or returns him to the original log in screen.

Has he checked his email?
For any purchases, account creations, subscriptions cancellations, renewals, or endings, NCSoft sends you an email. If he is wanting to verify he has the right name, any emails sent about the account should have the name (please makes sure it is specifying your PlayNC master account, and not your game account name.)

yea he says they haven't sent him anything in email yet. nothing in his spam box either
this form is seriously fail. Why the [censored] cant we just enter the email associated with the account and get the information that way.
Probably because then it would be seriously easy for anyone who knows his email addy, to get his password.
Try calling support, they can deal with password issues on the phone, it's faster and easier.

just wait and call them. i have had to reset my pasword at least half a dozen times (i have a horrible memory, went and got me a fingerprint scanner) and their customer service have been great about helping me.

As I recall, isn't their phone support limited to office hours, or close thereof? It was a 3-day weekend here in the US.

Not only that, but their system, as I recall, sends a new random password - so if you just needed the email, you could grief someone by continually resetting their password.
