No need to call the OP a ******. That's just rude.

And best... anything. >.< They shouldn't be getting hit at all. Arch/MM is, or was, somewhat FOTM, but it's still fun. Ice/ will make up somewhat for the direct control that Ill/ lacks. Ice/MM might be interesting.

Why don't you post this question on the Blaster and Controller threads with 'Bush' and 'Cheney' as their respective thread titles.

I'd first suggest you make your post title informative of your actual question.

"Ill/Rad's best blaster buddy?"

Illusion will do Psionic damage, Rad will debuff opponents and accelerate your ally. An early pet group of the Phantom Army will act as aggro-control and DPS as well.

A mental blaster may take advantage to the lack of resistance to most enemies against psi. However, if you find yourself against a psi-resistant enemy, you'd be in trouble.

An ice blaster has some holds and slows, allowing more containment and control versus tough enemies, and can still do damage. The blaster could swing between control and blast behaviors based on your opponents, or even use dual builds with that in mind.

Blaster secondaries?

Devices: More slows, immobilizes, debuffs.
Ice: As above.
Fire: Don't know it well enough
Energy: Good for any blaster, but with knockback, good for kiting
Mental Manipulation: Don't know it well enough.

He had sex with his troops? Wasn't that a bit modern for them?

No one else has answered the question. The blaster for a BEST duo for an ill/rad controller is Archery/Trick Arrow.

Do it now.

The best blaster for an illusion controller would be one that would increase the controller's ability to get "containment". An illusion controller has one single target hold and one long-recharge PBAOE hold. The radiation secondary eventually ( at lv 38 ) also gives a group hold. No immobilizes at all. Try ice for its two holds, electric for its hold. I cannot remember at work whether sleep gives containment, but if it does Sonic would be great for its fast-recharging group sleep.

The secondary should be considered under similar considerations. By increasing containment, you allow more damage and more "control" for the controller.

All that aside, playing an illusion/radiation controller is so easy, it is boring. He likely won't even need much help. I have been slowly soloing an ill/rad for years now. He is finally at 41. I play him until I can't stand the easiness of it and then switch off for a bit. You could play anything at all and be OK I think.

Good luck.

Containment doesnt really matter if the Blaster is doing most of the damage. The blaster in this duo should focus on maxing their own damage, not helping the Controller to boost the damage from Spectral Wounds and Blind.
