  1. the good thing with darkness controll is the fact that all powers except the pets are affected by domination...
  2. just make them toggles would be one step in the right direction...

    my main problem is, that you can cage 1 enemie and 20sec later the whole team is standing around him and waiting for sonic cage to drop...and you can only say" sorry but i cant do anything to stop this, we have to wait"

    next reaction: "plz never do this again"

    iam lvling a Psi/sonic cor atm...iam feeling like a dying breed, but if iam joining teams if dont feel unwanted...just only "special" with 2 not so popular powersets...

  4. ive recently made a Psy/sonic cor and his performance is really good...

    yes...psy is not top dps
    yes...sonic is not the "ueber" secondary

    But both together are a very solid combination. Ive made a Beam/sonic before, but BR with its redraw + its disintegrate mechanic just makes me mad and i was very unsatisfied with its performance.

    Psy gives me the protection i need with its, stun, -recharge, immob, knockback etc. other sets doesnt provide.

    Based on the fact thats sonics only protection is a big bubble with 17% res you really need all the migation you can get.

    And you will be very unique...cause both sets are very rare
  5. sonic cage: useless
    sonic repulsion:....more then useless
    clarity: not totally useless...but not far away from it
    for a lvl 35 power on a corruptor or controller clarity is a joke...


    sonic siphon: needs a second effect, like -dam / or -tohit
    sonic barrier: add psi res
    disruption field: lower end cost or give it a second effect like -def
    sonic dispersion: adding -tohit would be not overpowered

    liquefy: just need lower recharge


    edit: another possibility for sonic siphon...when you call it like that...then why cant you boost yourself with it like "siphon power" from kinetics....

    stacking is not necessary but it would really improve the solo ability for the "sad sonics"
  6. iam enjoying my illu/poison atm ...ive just managed to kill an even lvl AV (Lvl 50 Arch-A...big bad demon) without temps and inspiration or lvl shift or additional pets (lore pets, shivans etc.)

    I know that can do every toon these days, but it still makes me happy

    Only thing iam missing is a little buff for the -regen...50% is a joke, even with the possibility of stacking it

    anyway...i like the idea of making the 50% -regen not resistable...

    but tbh i dont think there will be more changes for poison in the near future cause they already changed a lot to improve the set. Sadly they forgot some major problems
  8. well ive played my /poison toon....to lvl 41 now...i got venomous gas, poison trap...and all the other stuff...

    and the only thing iam missing is the massive -regen....on steamrolling teams the quick click debuffs are really good...on an itf you turn minotaurs into kittens....but...why the hell is the regen debuff so low....poison is not so bad as many here claim but it should be equal to other sets when it comes down to fight AVs/Heroes/GMs...whatever with huge regen....

    Poison trap is "ok" when you slot it with many procs...the -end and -recovery is totally useless....dont know why they add such crap instead of -regen
  9. my only complaint ist the fact...that "envenom" got only -50%reg debuff per use...

    this should be increased to 175 or 250%...praised as ultimate debuff set it should have at least similar numbers as howling twilight,lingering rad., benumb or what ever they are called in the other sets...

    otherwise every blaster with drain psyche is more useful when it comes down to floor an AVs or GMs regen...
  10. ive never said that DA is weak...ive just said with a look over all sets it would make sense if negative resistance is capped and the set wouldnt be overpowered at all...

    the downside of dark armor....low energy resistance...no recharge resistance and a very high end usage....cause you have to take all toggles except cof and og.
  11. well other sets got end drain powers + godmode + exotic resistance etc. ..dark armor is definitly not overpowered and it still woulnd be if you give the set max negative resistance...

    sounds more like a bad excuse to me....
  12. Just a simple question....maybe its answered in some threads but i cant find anything..

    Why is dark armor the only set that dont offers very high resistance due to his "natural" origin?

    Fire amor = max fire resistance
    ice armor = max cold resistance
    invuln = very high smash lethal resistance
    elec armor = max energy resistance

    and.....tada....

    dark amor: brute / scrap = 46%....and as tank = 59%...

    Why isnt negative damage resistance capped???

  13. ive deleted my necro/poison cause its very frustrating and annoying.

    1 Longbow flamethrower and you whole crowd burns like hell...

    You got nothing to protect your pets except your debuffs and the self heals from necros is not enough to keep them alive.

    Got a thugs/poison mm aswell, lvling here was ok...
    But as already said more then +1/+4 on difficulty is not recommended.

    Robots are solid choice....cant go wrong with it

    believe it or not...but there are people who are not interested in always playing the best set with best damage, best armors...they choose their powers cause of style and concept...

    SS ist pretty good...but each powerset got his own benefits, depends on the situation...enough said

    just one question which power to take:

    flashing steel...a cone attack with 6sec recharge / base dmg 41.71

    or

    gamblers cut...a quick single target attack with 3 sec recharge / base dmg 35.03

    Ive just went with gc from 1-32lvl...just respecced into flashing steel...and now iam missing a bit this single target filler attack....but big mobs go down much faster with the other one...

    and iam still undetermined which way to go on...maybe anyone got some advice?

    i cant take both
  16. the build is not bad but for my taste your sacrificing too many powers just for the goal of being softcapped...


    for me its enough if i can softcap aoe + range with a small purple + divine avalanche does the rest for melee defence
  17. serum is a life extending...omega is only for style and fun...not really worth the slots (but good looking)
  18. the pets are not too shabby....they are a big help against tough targets

    i would definitly take all of them, makes your life much easier and more comfortable
  19. got a sonic/cold defender sitting around lvl 48....its just boring to play and horrible to solo...
    the tier 9 power is only a joke

    imo sonic is just a bad version of thermal...
  20. my vote:

    ill/therm...

    easy to solo...and great in teams...with shields, status protection, heals, debuffs...

    but most ppl dont notice how awsome "therm" really is....they only look for green numbers (empath) + rad (as debuffer)

    so "therm" and sometimes also "cold" as secondary get a bit underrated

    the only things that stacks in poison is the -regen (ok you can have envenom + noxious) but the recharge is a bit long from the last one...

    with dark you have the ability to get 2 tar patches with hasten...

    traps is out of competion...because it offers all that you want for killing avs easily...
    -1000 regen perma....-dam - res + lots of def for everyone and everything...
    so its the undisputed No1
  22. Does ninja/dark work for defeating AVs solo?

    has anyone ever tried with a solid build?

    the single target damage seems to be pretty good (thats why i ask), only issue could be the survivabilty of the lower tier henchman i guess...
  23. Got a simple build here, not to expensive (no purples, PVP stuff etc)...softcapped

    Any suggestions? possible to solo AVs with it?

  24. ive played my necro/therm MM to lvl 32, the only thing i can say is...buffing all your pets every 4min sucks hard ( not to mention "forge") ...and after a while it becomes really annoying...

    i really like the idea of burning zombies + gravenights with forge, but all these shields become really frustrating after a while

    A /dark corr cannot even come close to flatlining an AVs regen.
    with 3 slots you got 90sec recharge with 30sec duration

    + twilight grasp form you and your dark servant, which means -100% regen

    So...i think you can manage it to kill an AV with /dark cor or as a dark def...definitely worth a try
