Psy Blast is a great set, longer range, lots of effects (immob/sleep/ku/-rech), but no Aim.
The stinker in the set is Scramble Thoughts (3 sec cast time).
Should stack well with /time for all the -recharge. On my defender I skipped Psy Scream (which is a very good cone but it's been awhile, I think I'd pick it up now).
After the 30s I wish I could skip Mental Blast on my def, the others are enough to make a good ST chain. The nuke is very good but of course will detoggle you.
(btw haven't seen a /pain toon in ages)

Also expecting to take Subdue as my lvl 1 power, as it seems the better choice and finally I intend to take the nuke too, as I like the animation and like nukes all in all

Psy/Pain should be good, much like the Elec/Pain I'm looking to roll. The lesser damage is aided greatly from the offensive boosts of Pain.

Pain should be good too. It's just that Pain's only debuff is a -res/-def one (present in several sets including time) and the rest are heals and buffs to dmg and tohit so the only synergy I see with Pain is Sonic Blast or Rad with achilles procs because of -res.
It's a team oriented powerset, the team and self +dmg boost isn't that great except for the rez which gives you +30% and you won't be using all the time. But a good set with any primary if you're into buffing.
I see synergy in Psy/Time the same way I see in my Ice/Time - stacking tons of -recharge (and even more -speed in Ice's case, but Time already has enough of them).

ive recently made a Psy/sonic cor and his performance is really good...
yes...psy is not top dps
yes...sonic is not the "ueber" secondary
But both together are a very solid combination. Ive made a Beam/sonic before, but BR with its redraw + its disintegrate mechanic just makes me mad and i was very unsatisfied with its performance.
Psy gives me the protection i need with its, stun, -recharge, immob, knockback etc. other sets doesnt provide.
Based on the fact thats sonics only protection is a big bubble with 17% res you really need all the migation you can get.
And you will be very unique...cause both sets are very rare

Hey everyone,
I have thought of making a Psy/something corr since i21 gave it to us. In the meantime, I am not sure if I should go for /pain or /time, as both sets thematically fit with the toon in mind. If anyone have experience with Psychic Blast on corrs (or defs, as it's basically the same powers) or any of the combinations specifically, please give me some advice ^^
