Ooooh this is so neat! Its like an in-game bigfoot sighting! Or the Jersey devil! Whatever it is, it's exciting!

Same problem here, and to be honest, I turned off the drivers for my Microsoft mouse and now it works problem free. Same story, upgraded to new computer with Windows 7, previous Microsoft mouse with middle scroll wheel, can't change camera, middle wheel works fine with everything but the game. I just disabled the drivers and it works perfectly. I tested this by restarting my desktop with the drivers enabled and it screwed it up again. I am rambling, I apologize, but when I found the fix to my problem, I was so excited! I hope this works for you too! Good Luck!

Quote:I used to be an Abrams tanker in South Korea and when going to KTC we had to drive our tanks on public roads at night in that mess. Cars would pull up and ride our butts until we would rev up the RPMs, blasting extremely hot exhaust on their paint jobs...Growing up in Chicago, I thought I'd seen it all. I mean literally, there's places here that, if you don't have a car, you simply can't get there (no, walking is NOT an option when you're talking 20+ miles from the nearest public transportation stop).
So a few years back, I'm visiting my parents in Vegas and taking my mom out to lunch. As I'm getting on the express way, she looks over at me and nearly screams "FLOOR IT!"
Now this is the woman who taught me how to drive, completely white-faced, screaming in terror and with both feet firmly braced up on the dashboard. So I just about blew my eyes out onto the passenger side window wondering who this crazy lady was. Thing is, out there, if you're not doing 5+ getting on the expressway, there are idiots who'll literally plow right into you at 90+ mph
The worst I ever saw was Seoul South Korea though. Gridlock there is a frigging nightmare. 3 lanes of traffic, 5 cars across (oh, yeah, the pavement markers and lane dividers, they're sorta treated as suggestions).
Or the one time coming back from dropping a patient off at 121 MedEvac (one of the side-effects of serving there is I understand roughly 90% of the military and place references in M.A.S.H. now) and we pass up one of the post shuttle buses in our Humvee Ambulance and are waving to a buddy who decided to take the bus instead of riding back with us.
A couple minutes later and FWOOM! The shuttle bus comes screaming past us (and we're doing 80!). Our buddy is smirking at us and waving back as the bus pulls out ahead of us.
Then we see a set of lights come on down the road and the bus pulls over... -
You all should really... HUSH!

I do think this is a better attempt to getting something that's high demand, like there is a price to pay for these badges. However, because keeping some of the badges would mean level 1 toons will have accolades that you need to be 35 or higher to get, I don't think it would happen. I think a more realistic version of this would be to simply allow certain badges, such as anniversary badges, to be account wide instead of just that toon that logged on that particular day.

I'm sure you have thought about this before, but to solve this problem, I just bought a cheap flat screen tv that hooks up with HDMI cables and run that as a second moniter. I bought a decent 22" LG tv that works just fine. I run movies and everything through it while playing on my main moniter.

So, since the ATI driver update 10.8, I have lost my cursor when I move it over the clock on the right of my taskbar which happens to be where my travel power button is located in-game. Since the servers are down for maintenance, I have checked my drivers and 10.9 is available. So, naturally, I downloaded it and it immediately fixed my cursor problems! This is a pointless post for most everyone unless they had similar problems and I just wanted to shout it out. I am just excited right now. Please don't make fun of me.

Hello Pinn! Just wanted to let everyone know that I am back to this great server, thanks to the free server transfers! I have missed it ever since I moved over to that one server that rhymes with Freedom. Now that I am back home, I have decided to actually get involved in a Super-Group. I am looking for a recruiting SG that I can team up with my 50's as well as develope more alts with. I have been playing since fall 2004 and I love exploring content as well as enjoying the game. I have three main 50's, they are listed in my signature and I am up for making any other alts that you would need in a SG. If you are interested in having me in your SG, send me a tell or email, global is @Lightening Rod. Thanks!

One of my recent favorites is:
"Warsaw Or The First Breath You Take After You Give Up" by Them Crooked Vultures.
If you haven't heard of them but like Dave Grohl, check them out!

To be honest, I've never gotten kicked for being an Energy/Energy Blaster. And I do have a lot of hours ingame as one. My first hero I started and finished (well, to 50, I am never finished) was an Energy/Energy blaster. I have had comments about the knockback and I have found my own ways and powercombos to use during team use. Mostly I just become a blapper. The only AOE I really use is Nova while on a team, unless I have a strong controller who immobs the entire group and then I will hit Explosive Blast too. After playing this blaster for over five years, I just had to adapt and wait for other player to hit their immobs or grab aggro first and then let me hit my powers that either are not AOE with KB or single one or two hit powers. Also as a player, I think my Blaster is the most fun character I have.

As far as I know, the non-combat pets cannot be altered. Maybe I am wrong and have been missing something for the past three years. If I had, that sucks.

I'm going with the trend too, any will do. This is my set up: I've got a decent 22" monitor for cheap until I get a newer better one and my second is actually a same size (22") LG HD tv. I have it hooked up with an HDMI cord so that I also get sound off of the HDTV. I mostly do this because the HDTV looks better if I am going to be playing Netflix or DVDs and I also have a cable tuner on my computer so I can watch my cable and record like a DVR. But no matter how you do it, dual monitors is awesome and worth it.

Quote:That's funny, same thing happened to me a few nights ago. I was sitting downtown watching day turn to night and on a nearby broad apartment building I actually watched a series of lights being turned on much like they do on the game. Funny how it works, isn't it?Hahah that's a good one
Well, on arriving to Neutropolis, and watching the sky change from daylight to sparkling night, and seeing everything light up with the delightful neon glows, though it's not specifically "the same", the skyline and effects in Neutropolis remind me greatly of my home San Diego.

Wow! That's the first I have heard about this, thanks for the info but I won't be able to make it during those dates! Also good to see another Red One Vet here in Paragon!

Quote:Sounds like me, I go to the Hollows with my Energy/Energy blaster and use power push on unsuspecting OutCast and Hellions. I love the feeling of power pushing out of target range!I mostly run around like an idiot when I'm bored (with Super Speed if the toon has it). If I'm hanging out at the Steel Canyon WW waiting for a bid to be filled or something, I might run around and beat on/blast the various Council/5th Column spawns around (one of my favorite things is using my Nem Staff to knock them over the wall towards the university and seeing how far they go -- Council Ball!).

Very soon I am going video card shopping and I am wondering what I should upgrade myself to. Here are my PC specs:
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600) (7600.win7_gdr.100226-1909)
Language: English (Regional Setting: English)
System Manufacturer: Gateway
System Model: DX4300
BIOS: Default System BIOS
Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) 9750 Quad-Core Processor (4 CPUs), ~2.4GHz
Memory: 8192MB RAM
Available OS Memory: 7936MB RAM
Page File: 2173MB used, 13695MB available
Windows Dir: C:\Windows
DirectX Version: DirectX 11
Also the video card I am currently using is a ATI Radeon HD 4650. I have upgraded my power supply to 550 watt to allow for better performance. I am looking at something like a ATI Radeon HD 5770 because I heard it is a pretty decent card, but so far I haven't had too many problems running Ultra Mode with the 4650. However, I don't know what Ultra Mode looks like on anything better. I am worried about using Nvidia because I have no experience with them, but if the pros outweigh the cons I will give it a shot.
Also, this is the correct place for this question right? I am new to posting on the forums! -
look me up, global is @Lightening Rod.

Knockback = awesome! I take my 50 blaster out and use Power Push on thugs in the Hollows just to watch them fly out of targeting range. I have to watch it though in teams, Energy Blasters can make an enemy out of other heroes fast!
-
I started playing because of being a superhero of my choosing and wanting to experience flight. The reason I have stayed is because of the community, excellent changes and updates to the game, and because I can look how I want to as well as not being trapped into looking all middle-earth.

smellin' like the rose that somebody gave me on my birthday deathbed!

Both of you are right, I didn't slot KB btw, but I was fighting Rikti monkeys. Maybe I just never noticed that before I was testing my new power slottings. But everything seems to be working as before. Maybe I shouldn't jump the gun, huh? Lol!
-
Maybe I am wrong, but the foot stomp power for tanks in Super Strength used to do Knockdown but now it is doing Knockback. I haven't played him in about a month and I couldn't find anything in the patch notes saying it had been changed. Also, I noticed this after I respec'ed so maybe this happened along time ago and only effected me after this. Can anyone elaborate?

I want to send thanks to all the guys on the Moonfire team tonight! I had a blast and now I am hooked on Fire/Rad Mondays! If you all don't see me next week, its because real life has thrown me a curve ball. But anyway, I am looking forward to seeing you all again soon!
