I thought it was Knockdown!

Maybe I am wrong, but the foot stomp power for tanks in Super Strength used to do Knockdown but now it is doing Knockback. I haven't played him in about a month and I couldn't find anything in the patch notes saying it had been changed. Also, I noticed this after I respec'ed so maybe this happened along time ago and only effected me after this. Can anyone elaborate?

I think it's been that way for a while...if not always. Are you knocking back all enemies or just a certain group (and you don't have KB slotted in Footstomp, right? Sorry, had to ask.)?

I know "fragile" enemies like Clockworks go flying when you Stomp them. There are others as well I don't remember which, but it does depend on the villain group.

Also greens and below can be KB'd regardless of the group (as I recall).

Other than that if you're seeing it on every mob you encounter and you have no KB enhances on the power, then you might have found a bug. I'll check on my SS'r tonight and see if he has the same problem.

1) Knockback and Knockdown are the same. Knockdown is just Knockback of less than Mag 0.8 or something like that.

2) Anything that is weak to knockback could be knocked back by a knockdown power.

3) If you are fighting enemies that are lower in level than you, your Knockdown mag might increase to above 0.8, turning it into knockback.

4) If you slotted at all for KB, it might have increased the magnitude over the required amount.

Both of you are right, I didn't slot KB btw, but I was fighting Rikti monkeys. Maybe I just never noticed that before I was testing my new power slottings. But everything seems to be working as before. Maybe I shouldn't jump the gun, huh? Lol!

No worries, it happens. It's one of those not-well-known things about CoH. We see the question a decent amount around here, so don't think that you're the only one to make that kind of mistake. And, after all, we are here to help!

Usually it's clockworks (which are vulnerable to knockback) that spawn the "power x was changed!" threads.

Oh, geez, monkeys get knockbacked by sneezing. Something to do with them being 'underlings'.

They are annoying, I'll grant you that. Anything that can't possibly drop anything and rewards nearly no XP should not count towards the aggro cap. There's nothing worse than a situation where you can't taunt people away from team mates because you have a zoo's worth of monkeys waiting in line to tag you.

@Rylas

Kill 'em all. Let XP sort 'em out.

If they didn't count towards the aggro cap, the Zookeeper badge would simply be a matter of strolling around Monkey Island and then firing off an AoE.

(and then getting one-shotted by the resulting cloud of Monkey Gas, but that's another matter)

So one very unimportant badge would be easier. I'm OK with that.

Aggro and target caps are two different things.

Sure you could herd the entire island up, but you'd still only be able to hit 16 at a time with fireball.
