  1. Looking up the info on city of data:

The versions of tornado that both sets use are exactly the same. Corruptors use the controller versions of lightning storm and freezing rain, which means 30% resistance debuff from freezing rain instead of the defender's 35%, and slightly less damage on the storm cloud.

    Tanks vs Brutes

C: Attempt to save the blaster. If he still manages to die, finish off the group and laugh at his corpse.
  3. Never thought suggesting a useful program that I knew lots of people used in the past would blow up like this.

As far as I know all herostats does is read your combat log and parse the data. That's it.

Doesn't have anything to do with the point that Hero stats would be useful, if it still works. It can track crit rate by power.

    Hero stats
  5. Couldn't he run hero stats for a while while playing to track critical rate over a longer period of time, or does hero stats not work anymore? (I've never actually used it myself)

That former dev is probably referring to the problems with the two systems. The current devs mention quite a bit that whenever they try to change something with the base system it breaks. And the AI of mastermind minions has always been iffy.

    Also, former dev, not current.

Terrifying roar. That's the only one though.
  9. The gaussian proc will check every 10 seconds as long as the toggle it's in is on, like every other proc that has been slotted into a toggle.
  10. Are those hamidon seedling looking things in underground itrial exclusive, or the same as the mobs the hamidon seed summons? I forget what they're called exactly.
  11. Thanks for this. I'm thinking of taking over the resistance spreadsheet since Culex hasn't updated it in a while, and this saves me the trouble of setting up a secondary bane build for my crab and going through trials on her. If there are any other Itrial exclusive mobs and you happen to go on a trial with them, could you scan them too?

What happened next was people realized how powerful buffs/debuffs are in this game, and that preventing damage is superior to healing it afterward. Especially when some of those buff/debuff sets come with a heal that can patch up whatever manages to get through anyway.

Also empathy happens to also have some strong buffs and isn't just heals.

Pain domination has an aoe buff, it's called World of Pain. Gives some resistance to everything, tohit and damage buff to everyone hit by it. Also a regen aura (though not a large range on it) and an aoe resistance/defense debuff.

And empathy has regen aura and recovery aura. Long cooldowns but very strong at what they do.
  13. Enhancing consume for end mod also happens to enhance the end drain resistance it gives. The difference between 50% and 90ish% end drain resistance is quite large.
  14. Checking over the 3% defense pvp IOs, the level 10 ones are still going for a decent amount (granted, there's been only 1 sale today), while the level 50s have dropped pretty heavily. Makes sense though, pay a premium for the enhancer you can actually use while leveling, and maybe really only gets made through amerit/emp purchases?

They'll probably drop a bit eventually, but nowhere near the amount the level 50s have.

Sure it's not movement slow protection too?

I usually see slow protection come with recharge protection. Not sure if they can separate the two.
  16. Basically, the effectiveness of both depends on what you're healing with the aura. The auras break even at 1322 max hp. Above that hp regen is better. Below that the flat heal aura is better. Technically at max regen the heal aura would be better again but at that point whatever targets are probably regenning so much it doesn't really matter.

So the short of it is, the regen aura is better on brutes/scrappers/tanks, somewhere close to even on most other targets if they have the +hp% accolades, and worse on you and your pets.

Oh, and it's worth noting that the regen from the MM aura is as much regen as a regen scrapper/brute gets from fully enhancing both fast regeneration and integration for healing.
  17. Er, well there's still a tank bug in mids, but it's slightly different than I originally thought. Apparently toggling on the first tank attack for stats in mids is now applying the -20% resist debuff that it deals to opponents to your mids stats.

I was testing the proc in the first attack of a bunch of attack sets, and slotting the proc into them allows them to be toggled on which screws up the display. Also the main tank build I'm looking at is titan weapons, which can have the first attack toggled on for the display anyway (since it has a defense bonus).

So, the proc isn't bugged in mids, but the first tank attack is now.

Well, at least it's easy to work around this now. Toggle off defensive sweep (or whatever your first attack is, if you've slotted the ATO into it) and get the right resist numbers.
  18. Warning to everyone who uses mids for tank builds:

If you slot the tank proc into the new version of mids it will act as if your tank's base resistances are -20% instead of 0%, throwing off all the resistance displays. It stays like this even after removing the proc from the build. I don't know how to fix this if the build is saved after doing this.

    Dark/force help

Haunt doesn't do a lot of damage per hit, but they do a lot of damage over their duration. Especially useful against single strong targets like AVs and Giant Monsters. And for a controller can help in killing even just bosses a good amount faster.

Using City of Data info for haunt and other powers, damage at level 50 unenhanced:
Haunt summons two shades. Each shade has shadow punch that does 46.72 damage total, .83 second cast time and 3 second recharge time. So they punch about every 4 seconds and deal around 15 punches each. So each shade deals about 700 damage, or about 1400 damage between the two of them.(Rough estimate, not sure how much the single target fear delays casting of shadow punch. And they do less damage if they have to run between targets)

Shadowy binds and Dark grasp both deal about 60 damage with containment at level 50. So against a hard target you have to cast both of them a combined total of 23 times to about equal casting haunt once.

In short, haunt is a damage power and can add quite a bit of single target damage.

  21. Important note for shadowfall: The stealth in it never supresses. This is true for the other aoe stealth buff powers as well, like the ones in cold and storm. This allows you to fight a group that's close to another without aggroing it, unless someone hits something in the other group.
  22. The single target immob can be useful to keep AVs from running around (at least, the ones not in incarnate trials). I have a defender that took the elec app mostly for the single target immob for preventing that.
  23. Cloud senses, the accurate tohit debuff set, also has a negative energy damage proc. So you can fit up to 3 damage procs in it. Cloud senses also has a 6.25% recharge bonus at 4 pieces, and +2.25 max end at 3 pieces.

Looking at the set you could, say, take the acc/end/recharge, tohitdebuff/end/ recharge, the damage proc and either accuracy/tohit debuff or accuracy recharge, then the trap proc and the positron proc.

3 damage procs, some end reduction, accuracy and recharge, a recharge and max end bonus, and a bit of tohitdebuffage as a bonus. Note that each damage proc is worth about a 60% damage enhancement on average in the aoe immob. That's assuming you have containment, without containment it'd be 120%.

They're not long. They just feel long with the elaborate hand movements. Check the activation times sometime: http://tomax.cohtitan.com/data/power...Kinetic_Attack
  25. Oh, huh, derp. Guess I was looking across city of data too fast while missioning and didn't look close enough.

My controller experiences are Electric control and Earth control, which do have longer act times on the hold and immob.

Although, Gravity has an AoE stun as well. A bit of an odd one (with teleport) and it comes late, but it's an aoe stun.
