converters and Purple.

It seems that converters did not have the effect on Purples that i thought it would. Conversely pvp ops were affected more than i thought.

Pvp Io procs in the 200 mill+/- and purples are more +/- still the demand for purples is soo much higher than pvp io procs.

maybe cause you need at least 5 purples for the good sets. And only one or 2 pvp procs will do ya fine.

am i wrong here.

Excellent observation that may in fact be correct.

The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.

It's a question of supply. A higher ratio of bad:good means converters have a larger impact.

Most demand is purely for the 3% proc. Among other PvP IOs, there's at best modest demand. So the supply of "bad" IOs to be converted to good ones is huge.

For purples, 40% of them were already in high demand and 20% more in modest demand. At best, the converter supply only doubles the number of total purples available. That's just not enough to trash the market, especially when lower prices will likely pull in more buyers.

Checking over the 3% defense pvp IOs, the level 10 ones are still going for a decent amount (granted, there's been only 1 sale today), while the level 50s have dropped pretty heavily. Makes sense though, pay a premium for the enhancer you can actually use while leveling, and maybe really only gets made through amerit/emp purchases?

They'll probably drop a bit eventually, but nowhere near the amount the level 50s have.

Very Rare is still Very Rare. I'd expect purple prices to rise from here on out. People still have money to spend, especially if they aren't dropping 2 billion on a Glad Armor, so they'll try to outbid each other on the things that are the hardest to get.

I think you are right.

The market still has some swaying to do. Folks loaded with iMerits and Hero merits have yet to make an impact on the supply side.

Also, and I have no proof...but I think that many folks bought enough "cheap" purple recipes for a handful of their own toons. They will evenutally convert these recipes to diverse sets that they will keep and slot rather than sell on the market.

That is because there is no or few lvl10 *other* pvp IO to convert!

QFT. I tried to shop for some Lvl 10s to turn into Panaceas, Glad's Armor, and / or Shield Walls [edit - pre-converters] for my low-level characters. I was willing to pay a bit, too. But nothing.

I suspect many PVP Farmers are also market-savvy.

...and PVP Farms are probably tough to make at lvl 10.

The only way to really "farm" lvl 10 would be to use the arena which is very labor intensive. You would have to reset and such every 30 mins. The lowest zone to farm in is bloody bay which you can't enter till level 15.

I am just guessing but I would say almost (if not all) lvl 10 pvp ios were bought rather than recieved as a drop.

No one is going to buy a lvl 10 glad net acc/hold, so the only lvl 10s out there are the big 3: shield wall, glad armor, pan (it is possible some really really hardcore pvper has a few lvl 10 glad jav toxic procs).

Having said that- there are a few people (myself included) who have some odd low level pvp ios. I was just keeping them because it was funny to have a lvl 17 glad jav, however, with converters I could see people changing these into low level/high value pvp ios. I might see what I can make with some converters tonight when I get home. So you might start to see some odd level pvp ios pop up on the market here and there.

Somehow, I'm not surprised.

(...partly because of your earlier post mentioning that fact...)

I admit that I was originally mildly surprised that Converters can't Convert levels, too, even if it was only to "downshift".
