Wow, thank you for the break down, allot to concider there, I was on the fence about EM pulse &fallout, did not want fallout without Mutation, I would feel like I was being ... inconciderate.
The reason i did not go with teleport was because of Lag issues I usually "load" behind the Teleport and am face down in a mob of some sort. The reason i took Combat jumping is because I like the way it works with Superspeed but you are right and I will cut it out and move Decieve back up to where it was before.
I will add in fire blast and replace Mutation with EM pulse and see where that takes me.
As far as IO's i planned to start normal IO's around now slotting for 40, and Sets later, but looking at your post, I think i will have a look at some of those sets before i go crazy with slotting, and see what I can come up with.
Thank you for posting! -
Yes, I have been reading though that Guide as well, very long and informative, I did not have plans to go to Sets until i was closer to 50, and do not really have the influance, or patience to Build it, so I was more looking at a Critique on the SO build i came up with.
The IO's I do have are from merits or just very cheep to buy off Wentsworth
Thanks for responding though Local_Mans guide has been helpful for me, and I appriciate you bringing it up! -
I have been over this build, trying to put it together a few times now, I think this is the best one i have come up with.
The toon has been mostly used for running Task forces and currently is level 37, any insight would be Greatly appriciated, or if you see anything I've overlooked, please let me know! thanks all in advance!

Quote:**i only read to about page 4**
0040 The Devs will get around to fixing it, usually before the exploit could cause a major disruption, such as 2xp days.
I was under the impression that double xp, did not effect AE so how is it that they have anything to do with each other? just wondering, I dont know if that came off as "smart allec" it was not intended to I actually want to know, can you get double xp in AE now? -
Quote:I was under the impression that just showed the last glowie you got, not what you have left, I may have misread, it could go either way, via the way its written i suppose.This is a good idea, and would be wonderfully useful.
I'm sorry to break it to you, but you may have missed this.
From the issue 17 overview page:
A nice idea, but a late one. -
I believe this would get more positive feedback in the Suggestions thread, under "for fun"
I dont think its a horrible idea, but I myself have never really found much trouble with it, the glowies make a noise when you get close by, though I have heard people in the past who have had such problems as you discribed -
Tera Fern
Dual Pistol//Mental manipulation//Force mastery
Though I am Sure the name screams the powersets perfectly -
I would think, that if HIS account was banned, would he not be able to go to the site that far(to try and log in his master account) from what I am hearing, he cant get to the site at all, which to me suggests a regional problem, and not a banned account, i could just be misreading what has been stated though.
-
Quote:I have thought through similar idea's but never actually posted it, because, well frankly I think it would be ALOT more work then would be deemed appropriate.I still say the villain answer is to introduce non-arachnos PPPs. Give us Freak Mastery, Demon Mastery, Gunslinger Mastery, and Nemesis Plot. (That last one's not a a Mastery. Nemesis is the master, not you.)
My thought was to make another APP for villians, that would be more of a go your own way, based on the primary of your villian.
For Example, a fire// corr would take away from it fire themed APP, without any affiliation to Recluse at all, more of a be your own villian, instead of having to fall into arachnos' leagues.
But again, that would require alot of work, figureing out what would work, what wouldnt, and so i never really made the suggestion. -

Hello, I have tryed google to find some information, but came up empty.
Does anyone have any thoughts on how an ice//elec tank would do in player vs player.
I have never really pvp'd to much, any thoughts would be appriciatedThanks in advance!
-
Thanks for all of the imput, certianly gave me some facts to think on, and idea's to work with. Rad//sonic Defender sounds like a pretty good run. never have played //sonic though Rad is something i come back to again and again.
-
If you were making a character, that's sole purpose was to run taskforces, what kind of a character would you roll?
The idea is not to be level 50 and IO'ed out when your running them, but moreso just using regular enhancements well your leveling up to 50.
any AT, just looking for some idea's on what is desired in a Taskforce.
thanks in advance for any imput -
Manually typing out /releasepets, seems for fix it for me(when they apear not on your team). hope that helps
-
I am having a blast with ice//elec level 45 currently, but ice does not suit everyones taste, but it is certianly one of my favorites
-
I beleive Captain Photon is correct, what i would very much like to see for enhancements is an EASY button
go to the store and click "upgrade" and all the enhancements you currently have get upgraded if possible, so if you were level 43,and upgraded you would be upgraded to the 45 class enhancements, empty slots would remain as such, and i would think it would be made to only effect TO's DO's and SO's.
Probably a million reason's they have not done this, though, and usually it only takes one. -
As a level 42 ice//electric//earth tank, i would say yes, it is a good set.
Ice tanks are alot of fun in my opinion, one of my favorites, elec brings a good selection of AoE damage to the table as well as some end drain that works well with Energy absorption, from an endurance drain aspect. I decided on earth cause i really just want to see how Quicksand will work with chilling embrace.
But yes, i found it to be effective so far -
Quote:Great at holding aggro, with two aggro auras, including on auto-hit one that does -Speed, -Recharge, and -DMG to the enemy
I would just like to add, that Chilling embrace is great for inturupting enemies, such as Vaz Embalmed at early levels, sky raider Engineers at mid levels and Rikti communications officers -
I am currently running an Ice//electric//earth tank, currently level 42, and loving it!
I do not know much about sheilds, so I feel i cannot say much about one of the other, but i feel that ice//elec is a very fun ride.
Electric melee+energy absorption is a good combo for dropping the enemies endurance, which means less force feilds from fake Nemisis for instance. I am also waiting ever so patiently(not really with the patience) to see how quicksand works with chilling embrace, on that note -
Quote:Never thought about it, but yes. G for GO!
I'ts really about finger placement.
F = Follow
G = Sprint
V = Self Heal
T = Unbound in CHV. Used for push to talk in ventrilo
If Jumper
H = powexectoggleon combat jumping$$-up$$-autorun
J = powexectoggleon super jump$$+up$$+autorun
If Flier
H = powexecname fly
B = powexecname hover
I personally just use 1 button to switch my travel power on//off, usually I am a super Jumper, and my bind looks something like this:
/bind lalt powexecname combat jumping$$powexecname Super jump
The same bind can be used for fly//hover as well, and if I need it turned off, well, I supose i just have to click it -
I think that the best way to go about this, would be instead of when creating say an Accuracy recipe, it gives you a +recharge or +damage, it would just give you a chance to be a stronger Accuracy bonus.
For example, if the recipe in question gives +35 accuracy:
Crafting an Accuracy recipe gives you 10% chance to get a high quality enhancement would give 40% accuracy, this would also give you a 10% chance to roll a poor quality enhancement which would drop the accuracy to 30% and you would have 80% chance of rolling just a normal run of the mill 35% accuracy enhancement.
Just my two cents -
Quote:They can have Independence port.. we will just have to move Lusca to.. say the pond in Atlas ParkHeroes have zones that they rarely use... villains don't have a lot of zones and seems Village like... hmmm...
How about taking a few of those zones and converting em to VILLAIN zones! -
I for one, love the concept of Veteran rewards. I think that it was a cool idea to keep people playing this game
It just adds a hook, to keep people looking forward to something. thats just my opinion though.
Better it is how it is, then they didnt give it to us at all, i say -
~45month vet~
I have never
done a Hami Raid
gotten the task force commander badge(i think the only one i have done is posi)
Decked out a character with IO's(even normal IO's, only kb IO's and stealth IO's)
done the Sewer trial
played a kin(past level 14ish)
play a SoA(though i do have access)
gotten a Kheldian past 30
ignored another player(other then RMT of course)
Soloed a character to 50(or at all really unless i cannot find a team)
done all of the AV's for the accolate(on 1 character)
played a stalker past 14
I am sure there is much more i could add, but i think its safe to say i have no reason to leave City of Heroes anytime soon *Cheers* -
