An idea I had
This is a good idea, and would be wonderfully useful.
I'm sorry to break it to you, but you may have missed this.
From the issue 17 overview page:
Show Last Objective: This UI improvement lets you find your last objective on a mission map, making it easier to find something you've missed. |

I believe this would get more positive feedback in the Suggestions thread, under "for fun"
I dont think its a horrible idea, but I myself have never really found much trouble with it, the glowies make a noise when you get close by, though I have heard people in the past who have had such problems as you discribed

This isn't as cool as that, but hey, problem solved.

Ahh, my apologies. I thought that by a coincedence you'd come up with a feature that was coming soon. My bad.
I was under the impression that just showed the last glowie you got, not what you have left, I may have misread, it could go either way, via the way its written i suppose.

I'm just irritated someone beat me to it while I was posting, but at least the battlecry idea was something new.

As originally described to us by a red name (poshsyb of the box, if memory serves me correctly), this feature would show remaining glowies/mobs on collection and kill all maps when it's down to about 10% of them (objects/mobs) left.

Hello all
I was thinking last night while doing a mission about one element of the game that really can be annoying (at least to me.) That is the "Hide-and-seek" I've had to endure at the end of many a mission. Hide and seek being that aggravating search for that one last villian/hero you have to take out, or that one last bomb you have to set/defuse, etc. A lot of times these are the ones that are hidden behind crates or under that pair of stairs in the far corner of the first floor you swear you looked behind. The idea I had though was a droppable "clue" that would trigger after X amount of the objectives had been met. Suppose it went something like this. Your mission has you going in to steal computer files and arm four bombs. After you've killed 80% of the guards and stolen the files, you get a drop from one of the remaining guards that would put a target blip on the map for the remaining one or two things you need. Something along the lines of a "Intelligence briefing" that the guard would have had detailing the threat (you) and to keep them away from item A, B, C,D (the bombs to be armed.)
I just thought it might be a reasonable way to speed up the search for the final mission objective. I know i've had many nights where I would be running back and forth looking over hell and back for that last one or two items in a map that I just can't seem to find.
Anyway, what do you all think?
