Quote:Blessed are the Ori. Either you accept Origin, or you will be purged as a non-believer."The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. Remove your flesh, and become closer to God."
An insane religious fanatic that has removed all of the "impure" flesh from his body, trying to purify himself. Of course, what is closeness to God if you don't share it? People may object... and cry... and scream... and bleed... but in the end, they'll surely thank you.

I guess my problem with it, personally, is how it trains newbies. I hang out in Atlas Park and like to help new players, but seeing them standing around Ms Liberty saying "LFG sewer" as if there's nothing else in the game is frustrating. Also, why they keep trying to find a team when they can just join using the LFG tab makes me wonder.

Quote:If I'm not mistaken, the leaves on the trees do change color in the fall. Don't they?I've always thought that it was a shame that CoX doesn't have proper seasons and weather. I know how much of a pain it would be to implement it, so I doubt it will ever happen. It's just something that I'd like to see.

Lady Shroud and I will be there, but we don't arrive at the hotel until around midnight Friday night. So we're off the list for any plans then.
Looking forward to seeing those that can make it. I might even break out my Twitter account for the non-attendees, although I suspect there are those that can do a better job of it.

Quote:This sucks for characters with, say, Shadow Fall or Steamy Mist, that are squishy and need the defense. The text for Tricked Out just says while killing the Abmoniation, but it probably wouldn't hurt to wear one for the whole trial just in case.

Wow, I have never been happier that I don't use AMs. Especially since all my characters are heroes out of the box (except the one MM I brought through Praetoria) and don't have to, you know, prove (or REPROVE) they're heroes.
The devs are drowning us in their complicated, ever-multiplying merit systems.

Quote:I understand their frustration. I actually got into an... well, it wasn't exactly an argument, but I was heavily recruited for a Keyes iTrial, all in tells, for about 10 minutes the other night. And this was AFTER I told the recruiter that I hated the thing and wouldn't do it.It DOES suck for people like you, because despite adjustments to the rewards given, this trial is still not being run. I'd be upset about not being ever able to run a task that I like, too.
When they're desperate enough to recruit bodies that they try to convince haters... well, it's not a pretty picture.

Just to un-romanticize some of the "old content" talk...
After running Twinshot's arc, I've been deliberately avoiding new content on my newer characters and am going for the old content, even bypassing Wincott to make sure I get it.
Wow. All the gorram running around to different zones and stupid hunt missions (especially at the end of most contact's relationship bar) are annoying as pancake. If only they sold "autocomplete mission" tokens in the Paragon Market...
It even caused me to find out how the drop mission mechanic works. Didn't do what I wanted, but now I know.

Quote:The beauty of former sewer crawls.Oh, sure, with JUST the sewers, people were still skipping the very low levels, but you ran into a wall of diminishing returns when you simply outlevelled the stuff in the sewers.
DETH BABIES!

Somebody needs to get pics up on ParagonWiki, as there is a lack of comprehensive pics of each costume item.

Quote:Once I left First Ward I was left with a feeling of what was the point of that? Theres zero reason to go to First Ward by Primal characters, none. It looks beautiful, the missions are fun but its let down by its overall plot. Now Ive run the missions, Ive got no desire to return to it again which is a real shame. Oh and yes, I did read every bit of dialogue and every clue. I had plenty of time to read them all carefully having had my backside kicked by Captain Ambush every time I dared to try and read the wall of text presented to me.
Quote:Annoyance: Yes, the ambushes while trying to read as have been stated... Protean, there is such a thing as too many ambushes. Please use sparingly to further the story, not just because you can.
Quote:I'd like to note that there is an "NPC dialogue" tab in your chat, much easier than following the speech bubbles.

Quote:No. New players are not going to turn off XP, because honestly, leveling and getting new powers is the fun part. I suspect that only a very small percentage of people will be so story-centric to want to turn off XP.The story is all there and it's easy to get distracted from all the directions you can go but turning off XP is the best way to ensure you get to see everything at a certain level.
You can turn off XP in options/general
People that know how can get the old contacts. But new players have to be led to that content (or fall into it by accident). And no one should miss fighting Dr. Vahzilok.

Quote:I hear you Ironblade, but Feycat's right. For example, why don't any of the costume items show any screenshots? (At least Cryptic's online stores do.) There's been a lot of confusion and questions about the Rewards Tiers. The documentation for what we get when we spend money for this game should be CRYSTAL CLEAR and available at all times.

1. I love First Ward. The construction and layout and ambience of the zone is awesome!
2. I soloed my time/beam defender because I wanted to read the missions and story arcs.
3. I hate First Ward and will never run through it again. The only reason I'll go is to get a specific badge or join someone who's teaming.

I think they should just add an "Ultimus" forum and be done with it.
