Will Every Month Be A Fight To Receive Reward Tokens?

I start this thread after reading Zwill's many posts in the community digest about this very subject and walking away feeling like I'm sure he did: confused and a bit punch drunk.

When issue 21 hit last month, it hit on the exact day I was to receive my next veteran reward. No harm, no foul. But it definitely gives me a marker to look at going forward.

So this month rolls around and my billing date comes and goes. I notice the character transfer token and I notice the bonus VIP points added to my account, but no reward token. So I petition it.

Keep in mind, one of the perks of being a VIP is supposed to be excellent GM support. I have seen how wait times have improved since the launch of Freedom, but I have also seen a marked difference in what the GMs seem to think is reality and what the community reps and devs posting here on the forums think. On subjects such as the Widow second costume sex change bug, I have been told one thing that completely contradicts what I was told here.

My petition goes through and is escalated with the usual pleasantries and form responses. I don't have a problem with that. But after 5 days I received a response from a Senior GM telling me basically everything I already know about Reward Tokens and that I have already received my token for the month of October.

I haven't received any tokens since the launch of Freedom. Did that launch include a bonus token? He didn't say. He did try to tell me that I have exactly how many tokens I should have, though, which would have been fine but he was off by 1... the 1 I was petitioning him about. The GM also seemed just as confused as Zwill about when these tokens are to be rewarded.

So I ask Paragon and NC Soft: will every month be a fight to get this part of the VIP account I pay for? If so, I don't think it's really worth it and it certainly doesn't exemplify premium, paid-for customer support. With this system in place, there should be a quick and easy window on the Paragon Rewards menu that shows how many tokens you have earned and when you received them. The system in place now where us players pretty much have to do the math using our PlayNC Accounts is not up to snuff. This information should be available at a click of a button, up to date, and factual.

That's actually something that seriously needs to be addressed - transparency as to when things were awarded, a concise purchasing history. I'm hoping that this is the first-billing-month snafu that will be eased out by the next month, but the fact that we can't look up exactly when we purchased what, not on the market, not as far as points, not as far as perks, is really disagreeable and a very poor example of customer service. It makes me nervous to spend any money at all, when I can't track it unless I keep notes next to my computer.

What I would love to see is an easy to read and an easy to find list that not only shows you what games you bought and added to your account and what boosters you added (I still have some in my PlayNC Account just listed as GAME that I had to guess at), but also a chart that simply says the day each reward token was earned via in-game time, the day any token was earned via points purchases, and when the next token will be awarded to you based on your current subscription.

I've had difficulties in the past with the veteran rewards system where it seemed some GMs didn't believe free months added with Mac Pack or the Collector's Edition counted while others did. I was hoping that, since this is a fundamental part of our paid subscription as VIPs now, this system would be more uniformed, clear cut, and easier for both GM and player to understand.

So far it is not.

He stated the late reward of paragon points from your billing date would be gradually fixed each month, so yes, we can expect to receive late points for several months coming, it sounds like.

I agree, there does seem to be a bit of a disconnect between the departments designed to make money and the departments designed to take care of the players.

The GMs are also directly contradicting the responses on the Community Team's "Facebook Fridays". The Community Team said that when an account goes Premium after being a VIP all purchased slots change to Global Slots. I was told by a GM that once a slot is assigned to a server, that slot stays on that server permanently.

The Producers, the Community Team, the Developers, and the GMs need to get on the same page and give a consistent response.

And yes, I've already PM'd Zwillinger about this problem.

Nal, look at who you are talking to here. If I'm complaining openly about something here on the forums, it has to be a really big something.

I only made this thread because of my past involving having to petition every 3 months to continue to get vet badges and rewards on time and seeing the same pattern here with the Paragon Rewards Token system.

One player I was talking to said their GM response was every 3 months.

I know of another player that just went through his billing cycle and did not get his Reward Token.

I just got a Senior GM response politely explaining the difference between Paragon Points and Paragon Reward Tokens.

Of course, the GM in question told me that it follows the same schedule as the Vet Rewards schedule and should be expecting the token in the next few days.

And it was accurate until August 12, 2011 when I got my 78 Month Veteran Reward, my account has been on auto-renew, and my current play time renews on December 7, 2011.

Yeah, I just got a response from the GM where he tried to "show his math" proving he was right about how many Reward Tokens I should have.

He came out with 33 tokens. Even though I have 34 and have used 34 and he even mentioned 34 in a previous sentence, he was confidant with his response to me that he just proved I should only have 33 tokens.

I... don't know how to combat something so very incorrect.

Out of curosity, where exactly does your math diverge from his? Does it diverge prior to the beginning of this month?

I have been seeing faster responses to petitions, but maybe it's just been pure luck. We had a clockwork minion stuck in a wall during a Synapse the other day thanks to my Peacebringer knockback and a GM was there before we even cleared the first room on the next floor.

Of course, he teleported the minion out and watched as I used the same knockback power again, accidentally re-trapping the minion. He knew enough to teleport it back out again and I hope he had a laugh at that.

Yeah, my math definitely diverges from his when I earned 34 tokens on launch of issue 21 and he just laid out the math that said I only should have 33. It bewilders me because he had just said 34 a sentence before, so I don't know if this is a typo or a legit math error on his part.

My account renewed on Sept. 15th. I paid for 3 months.

Today is Oct. 15th, and as of yet, I haven't gotten my token, either.

I'll wait until Monday evening, since this is a weekend, but it looks like I'll be in the same petition boat soon, myself.

Loose --> not tight.
Lose --> Did not win, misplace, cannot find, subtract.
One extra 'o' makes a big difference.

Uh, no, "you have to play out the MONTH of game time" not "you have to play out YOUR SUBSCRIPTION LENGTH". Tokens are monthly.

Exactly. Since I paid for 3 months, I should get 1 Token at the END of each of those 3 paid months.

The first of those paid months ended, and as of this morning (10/16/11), I still don't have my Token.

As I noted, I'm waiting until Monday evening to start this new petition, just to give it a bit of time. But, I'll be massively surprised if I don't have to petition.
