New Halloween Costume Pieces: Video/Pics/Info

In the store:

• the Bundle and the Bats Aura are the last two items under Featured.
• Under New, the Bundle and individual pieces begin on page 16.
• The Bundle appears under Paragon Picks > Bundles

• Piranha Head: Head > Piranha
  • Fins > Fins or None

• Think Tank Head Package: Head > Think Tank
  • Head > Empty, Brains, or Brains with Eyes
  • Base > Standard Base or Standard Base with Cables
  • Base Detail > None, Breather 1, or Breather 2

• Vampire Face: Wherever you have the normal face options, Vampire is at the bottom. For Male/Huge, the eyes glow. For Female, normal eyes.

• Medusa Face: Wherever you have normal face options. Medusa is at the bottom. Female only. Eyes glow.

• Serpentine Hair: Standard Head > Hair > Serpentine (in middle of list, Female only)

• Beehive Hair: Standard Head > Hair > Beehive (3rd choice, Female only)

• Vampire Frilled Ascot: Head >Standard/Full Masks/Hats/Helmets > Details 2 or 3 > Vampire Frilled Ascot (last on list) NOTE: Bugged. Ascot appears behind head. Also, store lists this under Chest Details, but, it's here.

• Fish Monster Gloves: Upper Body > Gloves > Fish Monster (at bottom of list)

• Vampire High Collar: Back Detail > High Collar > Vampire Known Issue: The Vampire High Collar (for capes) cannot be used at Level 1. This will be fixed in a later patch.

• Vampire Brooch: Back Detail > Any "Mantle" Cape Style > Brooch > Vampire Brooch (at bottom of list)

• Spider Web Wings: Back Detail > Wings > Spider Web

• Fish Monster Boots: Lower Body > Boots > Fish Monster (at bottom of list)

• Bats Aura: Aura > Bats
  • Heavy or Light

Clarification: are these temporary, just for the Halloween event period, or permanent costume pieces we can use all year 'round?

I was playing around with auras same way Mystic_Fortune did.
Too bad there's only one shape for the bowl, no Mysterio helmets or anything.

Wont be buying any of the pieces, but for what it's worth lol;

Are any of these available as a reward from doing the halloween trial?

Note: On the Beta server, the Ascot appears under Chest Details > Jackets/Trenchcoats/Robes/Shirts - and appears as it should on the model.

I think this'll be the first pack I'm not going to buy. Not that I'm saying it's bad, it just doesn't have anything that I'd be able to make use of on any of my characters. I don't have any monsters except for my necromancer, and she's fine the way she is.

I am looking forward to the kinds of things people come up with though. Already that flaming headless guy is pretty sweet. Will be neat to see fish-men too.

These look pretty cool. I think I will be getting these tonight. The fish monster parts will fit perfectly on my latest tank project. All the dark armor powers are colored to look like water flowing off of him and he carries coral hammers.

I tried to achieve the "flaming head" look seen in a few pics here, but I hit a serious snag. See, most auras are set to draw BEHIND the head so as to look like background or highlight. with a head, you can't tell this because the head's in the way. Without a head, they loo like they're far behind your back.

The few auras which aren't set to be behind (largely fire and tendrils) instead look VERY obvious in that they're 2D sprites. This has always been a problem when 2D sprites meet a 3D plane at an angle - you can see clear lines where the two intersect. With a head in the way, these look fairly decent, because they intersect with the sides of the head where you can't really see it. Without a head, you can clearly see where they meet the flat bottom of the tank, and it looks really odd.

This may not always be obvious when looking from afar in the costume editor, but it becomes VERY telling when you gain full camera control in the actual game and start animating powers. For my own purposes, I think I'll be sticking to the basic fish bowl with either nothing in it, or with just an eyeless brain. Sadly, I don't seem to have a good concept for it quite yet.

Feel like the limited time aspect is kind of a jerk thing to do, but I have a feeling it will accomplish its sinister goal of making me buy this quickly rather than wait for when I have a use for it.
