    DM/FA/Soul Help

    This is the build I'm currently using on my DM/Fire/Soul Brute. He's softcapped to S/L but if with this build you'll be able to solo AV's, afraid I don't have a clue since I never tried. Hopefully you might get some ideas from here.

  2. This is the build I'm currently using on my Dm/Inv Scrapper. Survivability is not an issue since he's softcapped to S/L/N/E/F/C and has decent AoE with Fire Ball. He's a tad heavy on end usage so might review the slotting in Stamina and put a Performance Shifter Proc on it. Recharge is not as good as your build, I'd like using a Purple set in Fire Ball instead of the Positron's Blast but for now can't afford a purple set, too many builds to revamp atm but hopefully might give you some ideas:

    And how many LoTG's or Numina's do you get for 53 merits? Anyway, I understand you guys have to promote TF's and stuff which is great but Astral Merits are a more efficient way to get rare IO's. In this case, I also recommended the OP to get Accolades which include TF Commander so he should get some regular merits too.

    Still, takes a whole Hami raid to be arranged plus with 53 merits you don't even get a rare. A few iTrials in a row can grant you easily a LoTG 7.5% rchg and a LoTG Def a day (at least that's what I've been getting). So yes, basically it's true, it's much easier to get recipes through Astrals than through regular merits, that's why you get far more incarnate trials arranged in a day than Hami raids. Maybe in less populated servers you have to resource to TF's because you only need 8 people or less, that's not the case on the server the OP plays his tanker.-

    Made a cheaper build with no purple sets trying to keep similar stats. Here, Accolades are more important than in the previous build not only for the +HP but also for the +Recovery since I've removed The Miracle IO.

    All those fance LoTG's can be easily obtained through Astral merits when running your Incarnate Trials, no idea about the build cost but it could be about 1.5 bil or less with enough astral merits:

    Hard to say not knowing what build you had planned. Basically, if I were to build a SR/KM tank with unlimited resources I'd prolly do something like this build. Ideally, you are at the Incarnate softcap (or close enough) and you have enough KB/Stuns for dmg mitigation. lack of Self Heal should be covered with Rebirth Incarnate and the Regeneration from Melee Hybrid. Accolades are interesting to get for the added +HP.

    Of course, if you don't want all those purple sets, it's just a minor matter of jiggling around with regular IO's

    I recently returned to the game and I am trying to update a few Scrappers and Brutes to modern times. I've noticed about the archetype origin enhancements but I'm not sure how do they work and I'm afraid my search-fu in the forums didn't enlighten me.

    Basically, I'd like to know about Scrapper's Strike Rchg/Critical Hit proc. My question is, are these rchg/crit effects global to all powers or do they only affect the power they're slotted into?

    See, for example, if I slotted said proc in Death Shroud, when the proc activates, will I get the recharge bonus and the crit bonus to every attack during a certain period of time or will I just get said bonuses on Death Shroud?

    Sorry if this has been asked before but unfortunately, I have been unable to find an answer.-
  14. Main problem I see is the lack of accuracy on attacks when your CoF proc is not on (dunno if it gets perma or something on toggles). Also, only Mag 4 KB prot if you allocate a KB prot in CJ as you mentioned seems not enough for a scrapper. Obviously, being softcapped to S/L/Nrg/Neg is always a good thing but I think softcapping to S-L only should be enough for a DM/DA.

    This is mine which works fine for me except that I need to keep an eye on blue insps most of the time, but hey, that's not new on my DA:

  15. For now I'll cling to mine and will see about which new powers to choose next, probably a 1 slotted Hasten for long fights or maybe Hover to allocate another LoTG and use against caltrops. I know I don't have the best recharge but it suffices for my chain where I spam Gambler's Cut for the sake of the res debuff proc.

  16. DM/DA is great scrapper at high lvls, needs a bit of working through sets to fully enjoy him.

    DM/WP is really a beast but it's a boring scrapper, deleted mine at lvl 41 out of pure boredom and rolled DM/Invuln instead.

    DM/Elec is really fun scrapper, specially at high lvls with Pyre Mastery.

    DM/SR is probably the perfect boss killer and the cheapest one to build. He'll suffer from lack of AoE def between lvls 30-35 when you get Evasion but besides that gap, it's great fun scrapper to lvl.-

    Tbh, Dark Melee makes any scrapper fun to play

    A well built DM/DA (for example) with Darkness Mastery makes a decent debuffer to help the team.
  18. You can make either /Fire, /Elec and /DA very survivable by softcapping any of them to S/L dmg, however, in every case it will be VERY expensive. On /Elec you won't have to worry about end and rchg is better than the other two due to Lightning Reflexes but it's the most difficult to get to S/L softcap though. DA is the easiest to softcap because of Cloak of Darkness but sorting out the endurance management is expensive. Prolly the cheapest one would be Fiery Aura, but it's also the squishiest one and you'll mainly rely on killing everything asap before they kill you.

    I'd say it's down to budget and playstyle to decide which one would be the easiest one to handle. For what is worth, with zero defense and just regular IO's, I'd say Claws/Elec would be the most survivable.
  19. WP is a very complete set so pretty much anything you add helps it thus giving you many right choices. I personally think that keeping defenses above 30% is usually enough, this is probably how I'd do a Claws/WP Brute (please disregard the power selection order). The more +HP and +Regen that can be added to it, the better, of course:

    I'd definitely go for Mace/Elec, Powersink, WM Knockdown will give you all the mitigation you need plus good dmg dealing. Mine is curently at lvl 40 (and unfortunately forgotten on EU servers) and at zero def did fine, will go back EU side to finish him sometime.-

    With the new changes to FA and the fun I'm having with my Dm/Fire Brute, was thinking of doing a scrapper version of him, but then I thought about Claws. Main downside of Claws for me is the constant need to spam FU to stack it in order to get signifcant amounts of dmg and that's the main reason why I never use my Claws/WP, but maybe worth the try with FA.

    Any input on the combo? good? bad?
