claws/fire survivability????

I am wondering just how much INF does it take to make a claws/fire build that is survivable and fun while levelling. I really like the set thematically, and would like to end up with something I can solo farm with, without dying every 5 minutes.

Would I be better off with /dark or/elec?

I really don't want /sd, /sr.....they dont really feel "super".

Er...Depends on what you are farming. Take your Claws/Fire heroside, and you can just farm the Behemoth mish with SO's.

Or of course, use AE.

For general play though? I would consider around 1 billion for the price of 3-4 sets of Kinetic Combats+Obliterations to add S/L defense to increase fires survivability. And of course, tough and weave.

so would /elec be cheaper? is the defense on it better than /fire?

Elec is a resistance based set as well so the Defense is equal; Zero.

so out of /elec /dark /fire, which has the most survivability, and why, please.

I'd say /dark hands down. It has the best heal, covers exotic resistances the best, has built-in defense and an aura that prevents the mobs from attacking.

Fire and ElA don't have such an aura, have worse heals, and each of them has a resistance hole - Fire has psi, ElA has toxic.

From all the threads I have read, people has said pretty much the same thing, that /dark can be very tough....BUT, they also say it is really hard to manage the endurance issues with /dark.......soooooo, which would be easier/more viable.........trying to IO to fix end issues with /dark, or IO'ing to make /fire or /elec more survivable?

You can make either /Fire, /Elec and /DA very survivable by softcapping any of them to S/L dmg, however, in every case it will be VERY expensive. On /Elec you won't have to worry about end and rchg is better than the other two due to Lightning Reflexes but it's the most difficult to get to S/L softcap though. DA is the easiest to softcap because of Cloak of Darkness but sorting out the endurance management is expensive. Prolly the cheapest one would be Fiery Aura, but it's also the squishiest one and you'll mainly rely on killing everything asap before they kill you.

I'd say it's down to budget and playstyle to decide which one would be the easiest one to handle. For what is worth, with zero defense and just regular IO's, I'd say Claws/Elec would be the most survivable.
