  1. ok, on try #237, it finally went through....not sure what the problem was.....

I have been trying for the last 3 hours to buy the Mac Special Edition In-Game item pack, but it gives me a "General Error Occurred" message when I try the credit card option, and a "There was an error communicating with PayPal while trying to setup your payment. Please try again. If this problem persists, please contact support@ncsoft.com" message when I try to use PayPal.

    Anyone else having problems?
  3. I am trying to figure out what pri/sec to take for a concept i really want to play. The concept is a descendant of a Valkyrie+Human.

    So far I have thought of Battle Axe or War Mace as the primary, and Electric Armor or MAYBE even Fiery Aura as the secondary.

    Just fishing for ideas, with some advice from veterans.

    *NOTE* really trying to come up with something that fits the concept, PLUS can succeed long enough to save up for IO's. In other words, needs to be effective "out the box".

  5. how does a fire/dark corruptor stack up against a fire/kin controller in terms of AoE farming effectiveness and fun?
  6. I am kinda new to CoH (highest level is 28), and am trying to make a toon that can farm cash to finance further toons. Most of what I have read says that fire/kin trollers are the best at farming.

    Just hoping someone has a good levelling build, because I have no idea where to start.

    For them to be desired, they have to be better than your other choices including pool powers and PPP/APP. While the DS whips are sorta likeable for the resistance debuff, some of the other sets, well... I don't see them becoming popular unless we get about ten more power choices. Until it comes down to "either I take Flurry from speed or I take this attack power", they're mostly going to continue to languish.
    yeah, i think i would rather fit in other stuff like all the Leadership powers

    I tried a build i had found for fire/dark, and was frustrated!

    1. Not enough single target....i used fire blast and fireball, but went almost out of endurance after killing a single target!

    2. all around endurance issues made me abandon the toon
  11. wondering if dark/dark corruptor has the AoE, survivability, and efficiency to solo farm well.

    it would need to be good to go "out the box", since it would be the toon i farm with to finance IO's

    just wondering which secondary is tougher at high levels........

    also, if /inv is better, is it better "enough" to outweigh the end and health regen of /wp?
  15. I currently have a lvl 28 claws/fiery aura brute, but sometimes the squishyness is overwhelming.....looking for a scrapper with /willpower that can farm effectively.

    Any ideas?

    just from my personal experience so far.....you will probably have to throw a healing flames somewhere in that rotation......especially if it's x8

    so, does it burn everything around you?....just trying to figure out how to use it.....do you jump into a crowd, pop burn, THEN spin?......and stay there, or do you have to move and they go into burn?

    additionally, my claws/fire is only level 28. but i am having a blast with it......i took "tough" early, and frankenslotted for high resists, so he isn't that fragile. I mostly team, and love seeing all the text lines in the box, "YOU have defeated -target-"

    the only trouble i have had is with freakshow guys......they drain my endurance too fast

    how exactly does this work?......all i know is that spin attacks all enemies in melee, and burn scorches the ground so enemies that follow you take damage.......so cant see how they work together

    Resist vs Def

    How good are resists, versus defense......

    so far on my claws/fiery aura brute, I have about 45% on most of my resists, but no defense yet. If i cap the resists at 90%, is that as good as having defense? Just not sure how they stack up.....i know defense controls how much you are hit, and resist controls how much damage you take when hit, but how it all works out is beyond me.

    From all the threads I have read, people has said pretty much the same thing, that /dark can be very tough....BUT, they also say it is really hard to manage the endurance issues with /dark.......soooooo, which would be easier/more viable.........trying to IO to fix end issues with /dark, or IO'ing to make /fire or /elec more survivable?
  24. noone has a levelling build??

    really enjoying the starting levels with claws/fa......but also really worried when i read all the posts saying how squishy it is........if i farm my butt off is there a way to IO the build to be as survivable as the other secondaries, or am i fighting a lost cause?
