Modernize my Dark/Inv
Hmm. It's a somewhat heavily optimized build already.
But what do you think about this?
Higher base HP.
Higher max HP.
Therefore, higher regeneration.
Resting End use is slightly lower.
As is recovery. But Dark Consumption will recovery the same amount, be more accurate AND go off more often.
You now have a larger buffer for S/L defense against defense debuffs.
Your F/C defense is closer to cap.
Your E/N is identical.
Psi is higher. But Ranged and AoE fractionally higher too. And they'll provide more defense against most of the Psi you'll encounter.
S/L resist is higher.
Fire is lower (due to not going out of my way for a pair of Fire resist set bonuses)
Cold is fractionally better.
E/N is fractionally better.
Toxic is slightly lower.
Your original build has slightly more ToHit from Soul Drain. But with 30% +Acc global and most of the attacks slotted for decent Accuracy enhancement, you'll be hitting things pretty much regardless.
Plus, Soul Drain will be more accurate, do roughly 50% more damage, be up more often and eat less endurance when triggered.
If you're going to do anything else with the build, toss an Agility Alpha onto it.
That'll buff your EndMod , Defense and Recharge.

This is the build I'm currently using on my Dm/Inv Scrapper. Survivability is not an issue since he's softcapped to S/L/N/E/F/C and has decent AoE with Fire Ball. He's a tad heavy on end usage so might review the slotting in Stamina and put a Performance Shifter Proc on it. Recharge is not as good as your build, I'd like using a Purple set in Fire Ball instead of the Positron's Blast but for now can't afford a purple set, too many builds to revamp atm but hopefully might give you some ideas:

Hi All,
a while ago, I cobbled together a build with help from various forum members, including a guy named something like "AverageJoe." It has served me really well, but it's starting to get a bit long in the tooth, I fear. This was made prior to incarnate powers. I wondered, could you help me use the new ATIOs and Incarnate opportunities to craft something that has
1) More AOE potential
2) Equal survivability
?
Money is not really an issue, as I can always market farm for a bit.
