Quote:Nice! That reminds me, I need to respec my 50 MM with Mace Mastery so she can get PFF, I think that must be relatively new to the set.Yeah, I'm thinking perhaps Gravity / Energy Dominator with Mace Mastery for the Scorpion Shield and PFF.
Edit: d'oh! I just realized Mace Mastery for MMs doesn't get PFF. -
Quote:But the "appropriate colors" would be one reason for the generic hammer, unless you used something other than green.I'd say a Gravity/Force Field Controller or a Gravity/Energy Assault Dominator would best fit a Lantern-esque character. I'm leaning towards the latter.
Take Propel either way.
If you absolutely hate Gravity, then you could probably make things work using appropriately colored Electricity, Ice, Fire or Earth...
I have a Gravity/Energy Assault dom in Praetoria whose powers are solar in nature, with yellow/orange colored Energy Assault. Fun concept, but man, I'm finding it hard to level her. I'm hoping that will improve as she gains levels. -
This probably wouldn't be such a huge deal nowadays with all the teleport power options. Base teleporter, Ouroboros portal, mission teleporter, Pocket D teleporter, even the Wentworth's teleporter would make this problem moot.

Every single halloween tip drop I've received (20-25 spread out over 4-5 characters) has been accompanied by the TREAT text. This makes them door drops. When I get a halloween costume or halloween salvage drop from a mob, I never see the TREAT text, like I do when they are door drops.

Quote:Yep, ditto for me, 5 waves of 3 each time and I ended up doing it solo about 20 times for 4 characters. Except I think my settings were +0/x1, or whatever the default is.I ran it 7 times, and got 5 waves of 3 each time. I already had 2 points towards the Technophobe badge from the An Unstable Bomb Trigger Tip Mission, where Maelstrom has two Praetorian Clockwork attack you, so I needed 98 more points. Each run netted me +15 points towards the badge, and there were 3 Praetorian Clockwork per spawn. 15 / 3 = 5. And I was running on -1/x0, solo.

Quote:Yeah, I get that. The reason I asked was because I was thinking why not just get 5 halloween tips and then run the 5 tip missions. This way all the tedious door knocking is done first. But no, we have to do it one at a time, then back to door knocking for 45 min waiting for the next to drop. No, because there is only 1 Halloween Tip. You run it 5 times for the 5 badges. The 5th run gets you the accolade.

Can you have more than one Halloween tip at a time?
-
Yes, all team members get a reward pick. Teaming seems way faster, but as someone else said, you could possibly do this solo, it will just take a little more concentrated effort for an hour or maybe two if you're not so lucky.

And the Nemesis sniper range is ridiculous. I'm talking especially about the Tirailleurs.

The last thing I need when perusing the list is a giant legend popping up whenever I mouse over the list of names. I would prefer the ? button that opens a window that I can move and hope that it will always re-open in that place forever after. Or maybe an extendable (and closeable) panel on the search window with the legend on it that opens to the side of the window.

These are awesome, GQ! Sort of a riverboat gambler kind of look. Tin Mage would approve, I think.
I still like the robotic legs tho, it gives him that unmistakable classic robot look. I see that from across the room, and I know that's a robot. -
Quote:Tying the theme together like this makes me smell a booster pack coming.Heck, do us one better and make it the focus of a future issue to further exemplify the Going Rogue system. Give us a whole mess of classic villain group costume pieces, perhaps some new powersets/proliferation that would tie into it (Dark doms for Carnival/Skulls, Fire/Thermal defenders for Hellions, Psionic corruptors for Carnival/Rikti) and toss in some new arcs that might make reference to a bunch of criminals in Paragon starting to break away from their groups and turning their abilities to the fight for good, or on the redside of the spectrum, a bunch of villain group splinter cells and soloists moving in on the Rogue Isles and upsetting the balance of power. I think it'd be a fantastically fun and well-recieved issue.

Please, just a few hats that don't cover up the cat ears. I loved Top Cat's straw hat because his ears stuck through.
Plus, the ability to wear any (or almost any) hairstyle under the hats. -

Good costumes are such a subjective thing. Ask anyone who holds or participates in a costume contest. What is cool, awesome and perfectly appropriate to one person completely sucks for another person. Everyone can't be satisfied.

Quote:Talk about a point ZOOMing right over your head. Perhaps now you get some idea of how *I* feel when someone with no concept of stemming the sewer spewing from their mouth thinks it's cool to swear because "hey, I'm eeeeevil!!"Well it wasn't intended in any way to threaten anyone. I was merely spewing out some frustrations over some earlier posts such as that by Neko Neko. A lot of people who like to think they are "on the good side" can become highly offensive and aggressive. If that's the reply I get for daring to have an opinion, I'd hate to think what a complaint from Neko would look like if I had actually said **** **** **** *****. Just figured I'd make a point: if something upsets you, resorting to revenge and vigilanteism is probably not a good idea if you plan on making the mods pay attention to what's been happening. If you behave worse than the person who originally said **** - you are not immune from sanction.
Hope that clears up that.
Your opinion is that you should be able to violate the ToS. Great. Do it when I'm not around. It still won't save you from the banhammer because there are plenty of people out there who don't appreciate it, for any reason, least of all because you think you're role-playing.
By the way, I know how to petition, I've been playing MMO's a long time. Just because you have no governor on your actions doesn't mean I don't. If you HAD said "**** **** **** *****", my complaint would be delivered via GM. Hope that clears up that. -
Quote:Has anyone tried abandoning the cape mission and trying again? Maybe she'll eventually give the aura mission.Actually, the current setup requires you to do the cape mission again before you do the aura mission if you haven't done the newer cape mission, but had done the old cape mission. i've had to do this on a couple alts. Also ran the cape mission on a couple alts who will never use a cape just so i could access the aura mission.
I dunno, it might be worth a try. -
Quote:Something seems to be borked about this and switching over. I brought my MM over to Hero from Villain at level 24 and was surprised to see I could do the mission for Serge at Icon for an extra slot right after doing the extra slot mission redside at level 20. So now I have 5 slots after doing the extra mission slot for Lauren at level 30 and turning in the Halloween salvage. I'm wondering what will happen when I do the level 40 mission for Carson for another slot.Okay, I have a lvl 50 brute that I got up to that level in Rogue Isle. I crossed over to the blue side when GR went live. Now, I have 4 costume slots open, with the 5th waiting to be unlocked. I noticed something about one of my powers that was putting out a color I don't recognize. I decided to go to the Independence Port Icon to check it out. I went to the first tailor there, and she was the one with the costume slot mish. The mission was available. I took it and took down 30 Crey. Went back to the Icon and got the slot #5 unlocked.
I had assumed that the Halloween salvage was what unlocked the 5th slot. This proved me wrong.
So the question I'm asking is: Is this working as intended?
Have you tried turning in the Halloween salvage and seeing how the game reacts, since you already have all five costume slots? -
I think Grey Pilgrim got this exactly right:
Quote:No, I don't agree. Regeneration has a lot regeneration from other sources that is up all the time. Instant Healing is one of the many responses you can have to an extreme situation, adding a layer of response. Removing that for a slight boost all the time would be a weakening of the set, in my opinion. Being able to respond to a tough situation is part of the fun and one of the benefits of Regen, and why I prefer it over Willpower, actually. -

Quote:Did this happen on Tuesday, about midday? Same kind of thing happened to me, only not so obvious. I was away from keyboard for too long and got logged out while at one of the NPCs in WW in Talos. I came back about 40 min later and logged in to find my char out back near the semi of the same WW in Talos. I just shrugged and went about my business, thinking "that was weird". This never happened to me before, either. The other day I was playing my level 12 corrupter in Cap Au Diable. I had just picked up a mission from Dr Shelly Percy, but needed to leave for a bit to do some errands. Before logging off, I parked my character right outside the mission door, which was a cave entrance on the south-east corner of the map, just past the Arachnos airfield. A few hours later I logged back in and found my charcater in the lobby of one of the buildings in Aeon City near the AE buidling. This was nowhere near the location where I logged out, nor had I even recently passed close to that area.
This has never happened to me before. Is this a known glitch that just happens sometimes? -
Quote:You say that character is 20? Have you done the special mission for the tailor to get another costume slot? I don't know if you can change the gender of your first costume slot. Maybe you can, I have just never tried it. Either way, yes, as others have said, you need to use the Cosmetic Surgeon, or, if you're doing this redside, the Facemaker Surgeon. My thug/poison mastermind is level 20. I have science pack which allows me to make male and female characters with the same villian. That option is not available to me at my current level. Is it because I have to be a certain level to have access to that option? Help! ty
