Halloween tips work like regular tips?

With regular tips you have to be in a main zone like Atlas, Cap or whatnot so If I take my toon to RWZ and get a Halloween tip drop will I have to take it to a certian main zone be it villain or Hero or will I be able to do it in RWZ?

Good Question. I only tested enough to get a few Halloween Tips in PI and I think they all led to missions that were in PI. Would seem like they'd just be linked to whichever zone you got the Tip in but the whole villain/hero/hazard zone thing might make Halloween Tip-ing in RWZ weird somehow.

So, it's by the time you knock the door or by the time you defeat the resulting mob that you should wear the costume?
If I knock the door wearing a costume but kill the mob in nova form, I still have a chance of getting the tip?

Teat doors, not trick. No mobs.

On test, I did some RWZ Trick or Treating and was actually able to do the Halloween Tip mission there without having to zone. This was before they tossed the patch up to fix the badge rewards, so there's a possibility that was changed, but if it was, it wasn't noted as far as I could see.

Can you get the tips in Praetoria, or do you have to be on Primal?

I did my Trick or Treating in Firebase Zulu this afternoon. I was able to get the tip mission and the door spawned in the Shadow Shard. If it can happen there, I assume RWZ should be fine.

Why would you assume that? RWZ is a co-op zone and the Shard is not.

True, but you can't even investigate regular tips in a hazard zone, so being able to do so in FBZ points to them not obeying any of the restrictions on where you can investigate.

I did it yesterday on RWZ. It's working fine, both tip dropping and Halloween mission.

No, because there is only 1 Halloween Tip. You run it 5 times for the 5 badges. The 5th run gets you the accolade.

How To Get The Halloween Tip

1) "Don" a costume, either one you earned from ToTing, or one you earned via a Promo Code.
2) "Knock" on a door in a level-apropriate zone. A Tip may show up as a Treat. You MUST be "in costume" for it to drop.
3) Check your Tips Tab (Contacts -> Tips). If you see a Tip with a happy pumpkin to the left, and titled, "Whispered Rumor", congratultions!! You have the tip!!
3a) If you already have 3 regular Tips, then your tip will be the Halloween Tip. The Halloween Tip ignores the 3 Tips limit.

This is the icon:

How To Get The Badges
1) Choose to Investigate the tip.
2) Enter the mission. A 5:00 Min timer will show up, but don't worry. The mission isn't timed, and you won't fail if it hits 0:00.

You now have two choices.
3a) Run to the end of the mission, and defeat the Elite Boss, Libri Vermis.
3b) Run to the first room, find a safe spot (or clear the room), and wait for the 5 min. timer to hit 0:00, and then defeat the 5 waves of Praetorian Clockwork. You can also wait for them after you defeat the EB, but I suggest doing it first, so that you can see the timer.

Don't bother with the 4 devices. Even though they add 0:30 seconds to the clock, the Praetorian Clockwork will still show up after 5:00 mins. pass.

4) Once the EB is deafeated, a Reward Table will pop up. Pick the badge you like.
5) Repeat at least 5 times to get the Accolade, and to unlock the Witch's Hat costume part (if you don't already have it).

The first four badges each come with a reward, like a random Large Inspiration, a random piece of Rare Arcane Salvage, a random Rare Recipe, or the Rock Temporary Power. The fifth badge comes with 100,000 Inf.

Once you've recieved a badge as a reward, if you choose it again, you will get a random Large Inspiration if you choose one of the first four badges, or 5,000 Inf if you choose the fifth badge.

Also: I checked, and the 100,000/5,000 Inf the last badge grants DOES count towards the Earn Inf Badges.

Your writeup is almost perfect except that I'm pretty sure once you have all the badges the reward for the last choice becomes 5,000 INF not 50,000. I remember this because I recall thinking a mere 5,000 INF is so relatively trivial that it almost seemed weird that they even bothered with that value.

I could of course be mistaken, but I definitely was left with a "that's not worth it" impression. *shrugs*

OK, what's with Arrriviste/Trusting badge? I can't figure out if I have to switch sides to collect the appropriate version for my Hero/Villain side switchers or if it'll change to the correct version I switch factions or if I'll have to collect it again on the other side to get the right version for the switched toons...

Halp, I'm confuzzled?!

It is if you suddenly realize your insp tray is full and you have all the badges.

Correct, Lothic, it's 5K, not 50K.
