I'm testing exactly that, but it takes 2+ days to move a toon from side to side. When I have an answer I will post it (and update my comments on the wiki page).

Here's what I found out about Trusting/Arriviste tonight:

I took my Scrapper from Rogue to Hero. I had already completed the Halloween Tips as a Rogue, and had all the badges. Upon changing sides, Arriviste stayed as it was.

I ran the Halloween Tip again, as a Hero, and I had the option to get the Trusting badge, and another 100,000 Inf. I took it, and Trusting replaced Arriviste.

So, it's not an automatic change. You have to manually decide to change the badge, and run the appropriate side Hallween Tip Mission. Otherwise, the name stays as-is, regardless of side-switching. Once the Halloween Event ends, you'll be locked into that badge until the next years Halloween Event.

Yeah, I get that. The reason I asked was because I was thinking why not just get 5 halloween tips and then run the 5 tip missions. This way all the tedious door knocking is done first. But no, we have to do it one at a time, then back to door knocking for 45 min waiting for the next to drop.

PPD? Don't you mean Praetorian Clockwork?

If so, there are five waves of clocks, not four.

Ah, so it is as I feared... thanks Kheldarn. Off to switch sides then.

I guess the question is... Is this a bug? I also noticed the one of the badges is not showing properly it has this little square in it's place... I guess it's better safe than sorry type of thing..

I can't say if the having to side switch and (re-)run the Tip to get the Badge Title you want is a bug or not, but the fact that the Power Hungry badge art isn't showing is a bug. It means that either 1) The art was accidently deleted from the appropriate pigg file or 2) The pointer for the badge is pointing to a non-existant art resource, i.e. pointing to Halloween2010PowerHungryBadge instead of Halloween2010PowerHungry.

In theory, it should be fixed in a patch or two.

Confirmed with my Rogue-to-Hero Brute as well. So the option seems to be tied to alignment and "resets" with it if changed.

Are you sure you read Kheldarn's post closely? You can't have both badges, one replaces the other -- so unless you prefer the other side's title, switching does not net you anything (other than another 100K inf).

Yup, I want Trusting on my Hero (who was currently being a Villain and got Arriviste) and Arriviste on my Villain ((who was currently being a Hero and got Trusting).

Why they decided to make this sort of thing with GR in place is beyond me. I thought we were past "static" badges by now...

Okay, gotcha BR, just wanted to make sure you weren't expecting both badges. Can completely understand preferring the title.

I did exactly this tonight and found one other way in which these tips are like the alignment ones. If you do a Morality mission, you will lose your Halloween tip, if you have one saved. So, you'll have to Trick or Treat a little more to get a new Halloween tip once you have made the switch, no saving one for after.

I ran it 7 times, and got 5 waves of 3 each time. I already had 2 points towards the Technophobe badge from the An Unstable Bomb Trigger Tip Mission, where Maelstrom has two Praetorian Clockwork attack you, so I needed 98 more points. Each run netted me +15 points towards the badge, and there were 3 Praetorian Clockwork per spawn. 15 / 3 = 5. And I was running on -1/x0, solo.

Yep, ditto for me, 5 waves of 3 each time and I ended up doing it solo about 20 times for 4 characters. Except I think my settings were +0/x1, or whatever the default is.

Also seeing 5 waves. Each has 3 Minions when solo and virtual team size of 1. They announce themselves, so I even double-check my handy NPC Dialog tab.

On a related note, if you do these on a Kheldian, you will have a Void with Libri Vermis, who has a heal other power, at least at level 21. That was fun. There will also be a Void with one of the ambush waves, or at least there was during the 5 runs I did with my Warshade. Target carefully.

If you do a halloween tip mission with another person, both of you get the badge choice menu at the end. So that's one way to get them done faster - if you have a 5 person team you can all trick or treat till each person has the mission, then do all 5 in a row.
