I'm currently having the same issue with one specific toon all the rest are fine.

Does anyone think our old GMs should be dropping Shards? I can just see a swarm of Incarnate collectors pounding en masse the poor creatures while drooling "I REFUSE TO PLAY ANY MORE PRAETORIAN CONTENT!!!"

First thoughts "Coffee and Doughnuts" come to mind, but wait around a bit they should be working on it since PMs don't seem to be working it is probably hampering their efforts to answer.

I'm glad everything went great with the raid and I want to apologise for being unable to attend, I have been quite ill this week (was well worth it went to see Russell Howard live at O2 last Saturday) and ended up sleeping through raid time

I just hope I can make it along for the next one.

I'd love to come along to this raid as I haven't been to one of the new ones yet I don't know about leading a team at this point as I really don't know enough about the setup and implementing yet.

Would you recommend a Fire Tank or Fire Troller for a first time raid?

Also what are the plans for EoE's? As I would like to join one of those teams as well?

I can't wait to give the new trials a swing on some of my lesser played toons.

Praetoria is a breath of fresh air after repeating the 1-20 villain lack of content (Heroes at least has some variety). Also Praetorian content is so easy to out level even solo that i have to go through again just to see what I missed.

I can't wait for the next Praetorian release as I was reluctant to leave at level 20......

I hate to say bad things about any game I've not played but as to DCUO they have already jumped for the "Lifetime Subscription" path, from past experience this route has not favoured these games well.

Paragon City has a solid fan base and yes some will jump ship when ever a new game comes out and some will always return I don't see "City of" games going away any time soon.

Took him on today since the patch set to x0/+0 knocked him in to the lava and it didn't even dent him like before tried to keep his bifurcations down but he summoned them faster than I could knock them down.

Then I tried on my Necro/Dark MM and he went down before I could target his first clone??

So not sure what to think!

I'm loving all the attention on TFs right now after joining certain Global Channels I'm usually teamed and on a TF within minutes. Sometimes with people I've teamed wiith before sometimes complete strangers and the socializing is far more fun for me shoot the breeze smack some mobs around.

The drops are all a nice extra on top of that and yes I have dropped at least one purple recipe on about 8/10 that I have taken part in. I used to avoid PUGs and TFs because of the speed runs as the mentality seemed to be get there get it done seeya. Now there's a lot more interaction people talking about previous wins/fails and generally having a good laugh, even when supporting a player having trouble adjusting to new techniques involved in the new Alpha TFs.

This is what the game is supposed to be "Fun!" okay if you like to solo/farm/pvp/etc thats your thing, me I don't get out as much as I used to and having a group of people to talk to and have a common goal that's a big "Thumbs Up!"

Okay just wanting to throw this out there and see if there is enough interest to get this done.

I remember the days before the Hami changeover and we had a semi regular raid going on.

Now Hamidon has more reward options and Mitos have a good chance of dropping shards for 50's.

Incarnate Slots and mixed Red/Blue AT teams have also moved the scales of power against Hami.

Please leave a message on how you would feel to trying a Raid.

Please be constructive any details you can add such as Days you could attend, preferred Times and Toon details including if you would like to lead a team / what specialities you could offer (Holds/Range/Melee/Support).

All will be welcome to attend and EoE Hunts can be arranged with enough interest too for those that just enjoy smacking GMs around to see how tough they are.

This also applies for both Red or Blue sides.

Also Hamidon Raids are also great social events win or lose, you get to meet old and new friends and shoot the breeze.

Well servers are down time to start twidling the thumbs, kids will be home from school soon and I'm still laughing that the servers went down at the same time the last time I was in Croatoa and even in the same mission and searching for the last hostage again just like over a year ago

Thanks for the reply and suggestions, however during all my fiddling I have done the checksum file and verify, I also double checked for any extras in the data directory which is clear. I also did a full search for the files mentioned in the error and they do not even exist I believe they are created when you first log in fully along with the player_name directory I am stuck at the splash screen????

Okay, I have tried a search and can not seem to find anything on my problem, recently when trying to load CoH I have been getting the Error that Sequence Files are corrupt specifically player.txt and playerseq these files do not exist and this happens at the splash screen.

I have tried verifying all files, reinstalling a fresh copy, and moving the install to a different drive all with no luck.

This error is stopping me from playing and it's driving me crazy please can somebody make some suggestions.

Sorry if this is the wrong thread but I searched for texWorldSW.pigg and this is the one that popped out and the dates seem to sync with the start of my troubles.

I don't get the whiteout effect but since the updates of 17/18th I have had regular crashes of the game client on either zoning or loading from character select followed by a verify and fix of the following files.

geom.pigg
texMisc.pigg
texWorldSW.pigg
texWorldV1.pigg

followed by eroors such as

checksum failed on piggs\texWorldSW.pigg (or sometimes texMisc.pigg or geom.pigg)
click ok to do a full checksum of all files.

you may be trying to write to a location that you do not have full priveledges too or youo may be low on disk space.

Now I am running XP Home as the main account with the usual admin level priveledges and still have 240+ GB of disk space left this is also a fresh install of XP.

any clues as to whats happening?

Sorry to rez this thread but since the latest live patch 18-03-2010 CoX crashes for me constantly and needs to verify files on reload.

Any others having this difficulty?

edit: sorry forgot to add using WINE under Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic

At the moment I believe Grim to be correct and the games Physx support only includes the original Aegia implementation right now.

I believe they are still working on the new Nvidia designs, but no news as to how long that will take.
