Corrupt Sequence Files?

Okay, I have tried a search and can not seem to find anything on my problem, recently when trying to load CoH I have been getting the Error that Sequence Files are corrupt specifically player.txt and playerseq these files do not exist and this happens at the splash screen.

I have tried verifying all files, reinstalling a fresh copy, and moving the install to a different drive all with no luck.

This error is stopping me from playing and it's driving me crazy please can somebody make some suggestions.

I'd have figured reinstalling would catch this if this was the problem... but you could try deleting Coh.checksum from the installation directory, then re-run the updater and verify, to force it to get a new copy of the checksums and verify the files with that.

Also, if you have any mods installed in the data directory (which doesn't exist by default), remove those.

We've been saving Paragon City for eight and a half years. It's time to do it one more time.

Thanks for the reply and suggestions, however during all my fiddling I have done the checksum file and verify, I also double checked for any extras in the data directory which is clear. I also did a full search for the files mentioned in the error and they do not even exist I believe they are created when you first log in fully along with the player_name directory I am stuck at the splash screen????
